A good number of my boomer relatives and coworkers are convinced it’s all hysteria to make Trump lose the re-election.

Tbh, the hysteria is being manufactured to be hyper hysteria. That's not "boomer logic", just reality. The media et al won't let a good crisis go to waste.
It is driving clicks up like crazy, getting eyes on screens and boosting broadsheet circs up.
The media is doing extremely well in all this. Don't for a second think it's not being hyped to assist partisan support.

The "boomer" approach of calm is better than the autistic panic/doom mindset most western millennials have.

• Suspended all flights to Spain, Switzerland, Germany and France (Italy on there a while).
• Suspended all schools, universities, daycare for a week, probably increase to two. Exams have also been suspended.
• No visiting nursing homes without prior medical clearance.
• Made it so anyone who returns from European Hotspots are to be self quarantined for 14 days.
• Made it so police are to do regular check ups on quarantined people, anyone caught leaving home will face a minimum fine of €1000.
• Have all goods delivered to those quarantined.
• Telling people to take their mandatory leave off work now or soon if they are financially able to.
