Only because the only thing funny about Russ is laughing at him, though. There are plenty of disabled people. some even hideously deformed, who can make people laugh without feeling guilty about it. For example, Ricky Berwick or Lost Voice Guy.

I wonder if he realizes that no matter what he does to obscure his trail, the prosecution can just get a court order for the records? Facebook tends to comply with the government, especially in cases where its platform was used in the commission of a crime.

Thinking of how that may have happened, maybe he was sending stuff out to his victim's family and found a sister's name and sent out a blind threat, not knowing she was underaged or something like that.

He's one of those misogynists who believes a woman literally has nothing else going for her besides the sex she can trade to men.

I could very easily see him thinking (if he does think about) that since his electricity bill is let's say, 15% of his total monthly income that Taylor's is also 15% of hers, If his rent is 75% hers is too etc etc

My guess is that, assuming the Hough family was his target, he either threatened them or pestered them to the point they called the cops, and I imagine they have some pull with the local government. It's a small town, so maybe they know the mayor or the chief of police and all it took was a phone call to their private number and Rusty was up on charges. We're guessing he threatened them, but the statute he was charged under doesn't require a threat. Attempting to contact after being told to stop is enough to get charged. He might have threatened, but I can easily see him being told to not contact them again, and him persisting, because he doesn't think he should have to follow the rules.

I think part of it really is his whole fucked up incel opinion that women who are successful are only so because they cheated at life with their good looks and alluring ways and sleeping with the bosses and society being so darned nicer to ladies. No rich woman gets that way by work or talent in their mind...a man gave it to her because she’s got a vagina. And because her ill-gotten gains were so unfairly won and unsupported by real skill or work, it’s a precarious house of cards that brave heroes like Russ can topple with the right opportunity.

Idiots like Russ view money and fame as power and they don’t believe women should have more power than men. Women with money and influence make them mad and they tell themselves that it’s all a fluke or society being heavily weighted in women’s favour at all times.

This is likely why Russ keeps imagining that his future celebrity girlfriend will make him so famous by association...she has no real claim to her own power. She’s just keeping it warm until Russ gets there to claim it for himself and she can be shoved to the side as his trophy girl.
