No, I'm saying that during the incubation period (which is also when it's documented as being transmissible just through breathing or mild coughing/sneezing before you actually start to feel truly sick) it might make you feel like you're unsettled and uncomfortable and that you have to get up and move. Listlessness makes people feel like they can't get settled or comfortable, or focus on what they're trying to do... it's easy for that to turn into "I can't stay in the house, I've got to get out and Do Something". So they go shopping, they go to work even if they've been told they need to stay home and self-quarantine, maybe they even take a trip, because they're interpreting a symptom of the virus as being "cabin fever".
Again, theoretically. But, if I were going to make a designer virus certainly one of the earliest symptoms of it I'd include would be something like listlessness to get people out of their homes and moving around. It's caused by chemical reactions in the brain and is a symptom of several other diseases so it's not like it would be impossible to include it by design. The biggest argument against it is that such a thing seems unusually competent for China.
The only pandemic-causiing MEGAVIRUS WORLD IS OVER I could be made to believe was tinkered with was H1N1 as that one caused a disproportionate number of young people it killed. (And by disproportionate I mean like 0.1% instead of 0.003%)
Corona, AKA COVID-19 because there are so many of these fuckers they gave up on names and just give them a year number, is an utter shit bioweapon.
It really only kills the old and infirm, and that's only if the virus makes it into the deep respiratory system where it can't just be contained and hacked out. Congratulations, your bioweapon has now made your enemy angry and, because they aren't needing to devote resources to care for their aging population, a more effective adversary.
The only thing new-and-improved is that COVID-19 doesn't trigger the usual cellular defense mechanisms when it attacks your respiratory stemcells. If you are old and you are not making stem cells like you used to, you get into trouble if the virus kills too many before you can replace them.
Your immune system can still kill COVID-19 it makes it into the lower respiratory system, but it is a long slog, as unlike in your sinuses/upper respiratory track there's no cillia to help move things out, so you can't respond by producing gobs of thicc microbe trapping mucus - it can only produce thin fluid, giving you pneumonia. Because of this hard fight depleting your immune system, there is opportunity for other virii and bacteria to move in and start a secondary infection, which is what has been killing the majority of cases to date.
If it makes it to the lower respiratory system is largely determined by how how quickly your immune halts the virus in your sinuses or upper respiratory, which is mainly a factor of your general state of health before infection.
If you are young enough & your lungs haven't been damaged (or you haven't lost the genetic lottery) you are down for like a week or two. IF you are old, or an unhealthy turbofat, ya sorta fucked son.
