Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

No, I'm saying that during the incubation period (which is also when it's documented as being transmissible just through breathing or mild coughing/sneezing before you actually start to feel truly sick) it might make you feel like you're unsettled and uncomfortable and that you have to get up and move. Listlessness makes people feel like they can't get settled or comfortable, or focus on what they're trying to do... it's easy for that to turn into "I can't stay in the house, I've got to get out and Do Something". So they go shopping, they go to work even if they've been told they need to stay home and self-quarantine, maybe they even take a trip, because they're interpreting a symptom of the virus as being "cabin fever".

Again, theoretically. But, if I were going to make a designer virus certainly one of the earliest symptoms of it I'd include would be something like listlessness to get people out of their homes and moving around. It's caused by chemical reactions in the brain and is a symptom of several other diseases so it's not like it would be impossible to include it by design. The biggest argument against it is that such a thing seems unusually competent for China.
There actually is some evidence that common cold tends to temporarily make people somewhat more extroverted and inclined to mingle. Sort of like toxoplasmosis making mice lose their fear of cats, and causing assorted behavioral changes in humans.

The tests are very lengthy at the moment, so trying to test everyone in time is futile. The best people can do is have more restricted travel. I swear, these people act as though testing is the only answer.
It's science cargo-cult bullshit again. Everyone claims to fucking love science, but so few people actually understand let alone give a shit about any sort of real science. They probably think testing for Corona-chan is like spending research points in a real time strategy game.

It's unlikely to.
The item pundits miss is that Corona-Chan and the economic disruption is a natural disaster not economic policy. When fucked up shit comes up of nowhere voters look to how it's handled BUT even that is only true if it's over.
During such events (wars, natural disasters ect.) voters historically choose stability and they never choose to add to the instability/chaos by changing governments.

I am waiting for the debates when Trump raises the possibility of the next pandemic arising in Mexico.

The thing that gets me are the idiots pretending they'd be happier if Trump started doing virus prep "months" ago.

Two months ago they were screaming about impeachment. Anyone remember that fun little arc? No? History began yesterday? Ok then.

So imagine what would have happened if Trump started up testing and shutdowns back in January. (Oh wait, he did, politely waiting until after impeachment was over.)

If he did any more, they would have screamed louder about a dictator trying to distract the nation from his trial by fear-mongering over a seasonal flu halfway around the world. The entire press would have written off the Wu Flu as a Russian hoax even as they died coughing. They'd literally change their fear levels just to preserve the narrative that Impeachment Is Super Serious, You Guys.

by then, the left will have internalized the idea that Corona really started in the US, or was a Russian-engineered bioweapon, so, the US can't use it as a dog whistle to police borders because THEY started it!

I actually had the insanity to finish this. It was total cringe. Basically trying to claim coronavirus will end Trump.

SURELY THIS TIME

Blaming natural (is the virus natural, anyway? Has it been confirmed?) disasters on the current president is nothing new. But I don't think it's even happened to a president before reelection--I thought Hurricane Katrina was, but it was after Bush was reelected. If Trump gets reelected despite the pandemic, the REEEEEtards screaming Drumpf is finished are going to get aneurysms.

Dow ends up 1,985 today with that press conference showing that there's a plan and companies willing to work together and just getting red tape out of the way to make things better.

And all those pre-made Drumpf Is Finished articles people have made will have to be shelved for the next time they proclaim this will surely be the end of Plod Turd Man. I guess they'll scoff at the idea of Walmart being a testing location even though it's pretty brilliant and smart to reassure people.

It's gonna be bumpy for another few weeks because the media never likes having their plans be slapped so hard to the side like this afternoon, but today it felt like today people finally looked in a mirror that they were acting exponentially stupider than they should have.

Im relieved, thought there was no way November could top the Super Tuesday salt from the Boiny bros, but it looks like our sodium intake is gonna be juuuust fine after all

I wonder if they'll kill themselves since he just had his conference and the DOW rebounded by 2000

The only pandemic-causiing MEGAVIRUS WORLD IS OVER I could be made to believe was tinkered with was H1N1 as that one caused a disproportionate number of young people it killed. (And by disproportionate I mean like 0.1% instead of 0.003%)

Corona, AKA COVID-19 because there are so many of these fuckers they gave up on names and just give them a year number, is an utter shit bioweapon.

It really only kills the old and infirm, and that's only if the virus makes it into the deep respiratory system where it can't just be contained and hacked out. Congratulations, your bioweapon has now made your enemy angry and, because they aren't needing to devote resources to care for their aging population, a more effective adversary.

The only thing new-and-improved is that COVID-19 doesn't trigger the usual cellular defense mechanisms when it attacks your respiratory stemcells. If you are old and you are not making stem cells like you used to, you get into trouble if the virus kills too many before you can replace them.

Your immune system can still kill COVID-19 it makes it into the lower respiratory system, but it is a long slog, as unlike in your sinuses/upper respiratory track there's no cillia to help move things out, so you can't respond by producing gobs of thicc microbe trapping mucus - it can only produce thin fluid, giving you pneumonia. Because of this hard fight depleting your immune system, there is opportunity for other virii and bacteria to move in and start a secondary infection, which is what has been killing the majority of cases to date.

If it makes it to the lower respiratory system is largely determined by how how quickly your immune halts the virus in your sinuses or upper respiratory, which is mainly a factor of your general state of health before infection.

If you are young enough & your lungs haven't been damaged (or you haven't lost the genetic lottery) you are down for like a week or two. IF you are old, or an unhealthy turbofat, ya sorta fucked son.

Doesnt a parasite that infects snails also makes them suicidal so they can reach a birb host?
Truly, life is simply unfair

One of the early theories was that it's an unfinished bioweapon unintentionally released that China was going to use on themselves to plateau their aging population.

Where the left has really fucked up with the coronavirus is that like with climate change, their doomsday predictions are excessive. But unlike with the latter, the time span for the former is short.

'Twelve years to avoid climate disaster' is a good fearmonger because after a few years you can start with a new fearmonger further out and by the time the original deadline comes around everyone will have forgotten and be occupied with the current fearmonger du jour.

But with this, unless there are a million dead Americans piled on the floor dead from the virus in two months, they're gonna have a lot of explaining to do and won't be able to walk it back.

Well shit I missed my chance to buy stocks cheap then.
