Wuhan Coronavirus: Lockdowns, Quarantines, Cancellations

I don’t read wop but it seems to forbid the orgy and the gangbang and the algebraic sex.

Being wop american and I do read wop, in short it says that the mayor of Bugliano has increased measures to prevent catching coronachan. Until April 3rd, Orgies and Gangbangs are forbidden. Also sex with infected people in general is forbidden. If you break this, you will be fined 875 muslim dollars.

Assuming the date order is in eurofag (d/m/y) this was issued Feb 9th? If so, it didn't work out so well. Also, the document number of 69/2020 seems suspicious, but that's just me.

Doing a little casual searching, Bugliano is a tiny place in Tuscany with a population of 42. Their Twitter is full of similar stuff: a form to contact sex partners, a proclamation of permission to hunt 24/7, a suggestion to use the time to improve FPS gaming skills, and a suggested reading and viewing list (including The Walking Dead, Das Kapital, and Scrooge McDuck comics). So it's probably a joke Twitter, though I really wish it isn't.

So my state school is switching to online for three weeks, but all the big-name private universities like Harvard, MIT, Tufts, etc. are all doing so for the entire semester. They won't even have their finals in-person. I don't even see how those are valid course credits at that point, I think they should just pull the plug entirely and make the grad school applicant pool much less competitive this fall.
Mine ended up extending it to the rest of the semester too so uhhhhh.....

No more Cirq around the world, for the time Being. Also Penn & Teller and David Copperfield stopped their shows. How long until the Casinos are closed? I bet Reno and Laughlin close first.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Cirque du Soleil, creator of many of the most popular shows in Las Vegas, said Saturday that it is temporarily suspending its productions in the city as well as around the world because of the new coronavirus outbreak.
In a statement, the company said it made the decision based on public health authorities calling for people to limit their social interactions to stop the spread of the virus.
The shows that will be cancelled effective Sunday are “O” at the Bellagio, “KA” at MGM Grand, “The Beatles LOVE” at the Mirage, “Mystere” at Treasure Island, “Zumanity” at New York-New Yoek and “Michael Jackson ONE” at Mandalay Bay.
Cirque du Soleil shows in Austin, Texas, Chicago, Houston, New Orleans, Salt Lake City, Montreal, Boston, Tel Aviv, Meloneras, Spain, Munich, Costa Mesa, California, Denver, and the Australian cities of Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth also are cancelled.
Also Saturday, the long-running Penn & Teller comedy/magic show has been cancelled effective immediately.
Penn Jilette tweeted: “Out of concern and love for our audiences, & well, concern and love for everyone — we will be canceling our shows starting tonight for the next few weeks Hope to be back on stage soon when gathering is once again responsible. Let’s all take care of ourselves & each other. Love. ”
l:ate Saturday night, magician David Copperfield, another Vegas mainstay, tweeted that he is suspending his shows.
“Nothing is more important than the health and safety of my audience, my team, and my family — so we’re pausing shows today to assess the situation. We hope to resume very soon,” he said in a statement on Twitter.
For most people, the new coronavirus causes only mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough. In older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness.
The vast majority of people recover from the new virus.

City officials are not happy with the Philly schools closing. Mayor Kenney is moaning about it a lot. He cited that food insecurity and child care were issues. But everyone else is closing schools. If we are the odd man out and it causes repeat of 1918 then Kenney is going to look really bad. God I hate that guy.

Mainly I'm concerned that Tyrone, Jaqweel and Raheem are going to be free for two weeks and it as been unseasonably warm. I wonder if the situation will cause an uptick in youth crime.

Well in NJ they are already doing curfews and lockdowns so expect more of that.

The Cannes Film Festival will most likely be cancelled, though we’ll have to wait till April for the official committee to issue a statement.

The rumour has been circulating around French media for a couple of days, although yesterday, the President of the Jury took to deny it.

rare english link i found

Keep in mind that the Festival itself is in May, but if the situation in France keeps being this bad, I don’t see any way of it happening.

Additionally, our PM announced the closing of all “non-essential” shops and venues until new order, stating specifically that it s because people didn’t respect the “don’t go outside” tips and sat in cafés. That means cafés, restaurants, cinemas, gyms, all shops aside from supermarket and pharmacies, etc. have been closed since this morning.

Only they kept the mayoral elections happening today across France. As of 2pm, the participation rate is of only 18%. This is the dichotomy of the government - on one hand, they tell you to stay home, and make it very difficult to go out, but on the other, it’s “go to the polls, and vote to save democracy”.

Anyways, Paris is a dead city now, and will probably go on complete lockdown soon enough, so I decided not to wait for that to happen, and left for southern France this morning in what is probably one of the last trains circulating across regions for awhile. Here’s a couple of pictures from the Gare de Lyon, which is Paris’ busiest train station at 10am today.

I work in a medical lab so there's no way in hell we're closing. However, my shift is going to change because starting Wednesday we're all working split shifts. At least the commute will be smooth. 🤷

maybe the major is just a troll and he cant lose his job because nobody else in the village is willing to do the job.

Furnal Equinox, a furry convention in Toronto, has canceled their event. They initially said they weren't going to cancel because they'd run the risk of having to declare bankruptcy, but after facing backlash they decided to cancel.

Nike, Walmart, and several other stores are either cutting hours or closing up shop to allow enough time to sanitize or restock their shelves.

The Vatican will go ahead with the Holy Week ceremonies without public attendance. The ceremonies will be broadcasted on TV, radio, and online.

Selfies sent by parishioners lie on the benches of the Robbiano church as Masses for the faithful have been suspended following Italy's coronavirus emergency, in Giussano, northern Italy, Sunday, March 15, 2020.

Puerto Rico is shutting down all non-essential business for the time being and initiating a curfew from 9PM to 5AM.

Okay, Corona is picking up speed in Germany. Everything's shutting down. Big public events and all sport events are canceled, schools closed, old people homes and hospitals limit/ban visitors and so on. Supermarkets, Pharmacies and Banks stay open.

More importantly, the borders towards France, Austria, Swiss and Luxembourg will be "closed" (more border controls) on Monday until further notice. Only goods and work related traffic will be allowed. Denmark is already closed. Apparently we have a problem with people coming over the border to do their panic buying here which already led to shortages in towns along the borders.

Btw, government in Thuringia tried to ban private events with more than 50 people but got cucked by the constitution. You can have private gatherings with up to 100 people (like a wedding or such).
