Two cases have been confirmed in Allegheny County and the St. Patrick's Day Parade has been cancelled as a result. What is the logical thing to do? Go out and drink a shitton in extremely crowded settings.

This is probably happening all across America at this time. You... you know this virus has an incubation period of up to fourteen days, right? Goddamn Millenials.
I was invited to go to a St. Patrick's Day parade that was supposed to happen today (as I mentioned before in this thread). Before it was canceled yesterday, I said that I wasn't going earlier in the week. After the parade was canceled, some of my friends were still planning to do a bar crawl in the area because they "aren't going to let this hysteria ruin their St. Patrick's Day weekend."
One of my friends tried to reach out to me to convince me to go out since the parade got canceled. I still said no, for a plethora of what should be
obvious reasons. I currently have a sore throat right now, too (no fever, no cough, no chest pains-- 99.9% sure it's only the Spring cold that I get like clockwork around this time every year). But still, I'm not taking chances, and I even forced my husband to call in to work to request teleworking for the upcoming week because of my symptoms. It's not panicking when this is
literally a national emergency; it's common fucking sense.
Even after telling her I had a sore throat, it still did not register to her. She still can't understand why I stayed home. I love my friend, but goddamn is she being a moron about this.
Anyway, I
am bummed about the timing of all of this. St. Patrick's Day is one of my favorite holidays and times of the year. I even have family gatherings around this holiday out of tradition and I always look forward to them. I had my calendar filled this week with fun and social stuff planned. I want to do this stuff, but do you know what I want even more? For my Boomer parents not to fucking
die. I think I can afford to postpone celebrations this year! I don't think that a bar crawl is worth it right now. At all.
