First deaths where I am. Most patients not severely ill which is interesting (although most are 40-60 and fit, they’re the initial cases from skiing holidays ) but capacity becoming strained.
I have a low fever, a dry cough, my heart isn’t happy and I’m feeling unwell. Confined to barracks at the moment, and extremely glad of the weeks of prepping done. Probably just a bad chest infection took but I’ll never know because nobody is testing any more. We need a rapid POC test ASAP.
Thanks for taking one for the team, you glourious madman.Archive of insane idiot:

let's face it these future cat mother's are just looking for an excuse to justify their sesame chicken habitHere is some very smart women trying to shame people to go and eat out and receive take-out at Chinese restaurants. Lets be honest any take-out and restaurant is a potential hazard when you have additional people touching and preparing your food. It's always women who come up with this sorta shit then they get mad and wonder why people do not want female leaders, with the "lets bake cookies for the soldiers" mentality.

Colds don't give fevers. You're pretty much on par with the symptoms, included that the kids get hit less hard.cheers, appreciate the thoughts! I’m Ok, I’m sure it’s just another bloody cough, this year has been shit for them.
On the off chance this is it, so far it’s gone:
Very high fever and sweating one night, and tingling in limbs, gone in the late morning, followed by a gradual onset of shortness of breath and a dry unpleasant cough. Palpitations, low fever which fluctuates and fatigue. Same as any chest bug except the palpitations, which are unpleasant. I can tell I’m fighting something off but I’m Ok as long as I don’t exert myself. Husband has same symptoms, kids have a minor cough. This is day 3. We are staying away from everyone as per local guidelines. Probably just a cold.
Who cares about thots and their Twitter followers dying?i fucking hate twitter.
Disney and the school districts and churches etc are shut down to avoid creating hubs. They are shut down in order to soften the curve. When it gets into a contained population like that is when it explodes. With the big danger being it getting into the health care providers undetected. That’s the actual difference between Italy and Iran, and Japan and South Korea. In Italy and Iran it got into both the healthcare system, and the local gathering places, the Mosques and Churches, before it was detected. In Japan and Korea they managed to get the Social Distancing policies in place before it did so, and thus were able to greatly flatten the curve. And that was with the loopy Shinji Cult trying to catch and spread it.
The US is not immune. But we are, at this point at least, somewhat ahead of the game. We do appear to be flattening the curve. We will see some spikes, and nobody is safe from it. There is still a great risk of a breakout somewhere that allows it to vastly propagate. The NYC or similar dense urban hospitals being a big point of concern.
We will see two types of Spikes. Contained Spikes, where the Spike occurs within a tightly contained group and is unlikely to spread much beyond that contained population. Nursing Homes and Prisons come to mind. Beyond spreading to the occupants there is limited potential to go beyond that. Each infected cannot spread to 3-5 other people outside of their contained environment. So the spike peaks with that contained population. These look nasty and horrifying in the news. But are not a sign of things getting out of control in the wider population.
the bigger danger is the Uncontained Spikes. Whereby it gets into a tight but mobile population. A School, Church or heaven forbid Hospital. Where each infected in the tight group can then be taken outside and handed off to others. That’s what triggers the Wuhan levels of shit hitting the fan.

Most American Chinese takeout is pretty easy to make at home. Healthier homemade, too. If someone's executive dysfunction is bad enough that they can't do basic tasks like put something in the microwave, they need a wrangler. Hate when these jackasses appropriate terms legitimately disabled people find useful. Being too lazy to eat a slice of bread or make cereal is not executive dysfunction. Here is some very smart women trying to shame people to go and eat out and receive take-out at Chinese restaurants. Bet those Chinese restaurants wished they hired those white guys who applied, eh? I've never seen a non chinese person working at one.
I like that one of them mentioned social distancing while advocating people eat out. Why would you want to eat food someone else prepared and breathed all over if you're actively distancing yourself from other people to prevent infection? Such fucking buffoons scrambling for woke points.

Ordering food likely requires more executive functions than making cereal.
I've been watching this stream of live cameras from locked down Wuhan. What's going on in China? Any news?
Flight to Denver is ~33% full.
I've been watching this stream of live cameras from locked down Wuhan.
The place is like a ghost town.
Very few cars on the roads.
Most people I've seen in one place were at the new hastily built "hospital", about 5 people in hazmats.
There is more activity on the river, cargo boats floating by now and then.
Looking at those apartment buildings I wonder what the smell must be like.
