He didn't have tenure. He was an adjunct, basically a dogsbody used to teach classes at a shoestring level of pay in hopes of making tenure.

Actual teaches in a union will, if they are absolute scum, get sent to "rubber rooms" to sit and collect their paychecks forever. Or shuffled to a different school in the distric.

Huh, I forgot he was an adjunct since it's been like a year or more since I read about that bugman lunatic. Colleges love them because they often have more practical experience, but also because they CAN BE EASILY FIRED.

We call shitty teachers that get shuffled to a different group "passing the lemon". You usually got a different shitty teacher, but you'd hope the swap would get you a slightly better fit for the school, or maybe even a slightly less shitty teacher. It was a better move than pushing them up to admin, so they couldn't fuck with kids.

Rubber rooms are stupid; your best hope is to have them quit since they'll eat into your school resources if you do that.

Yeah, my company announced that they have no plans for layoffs since it is a medical emergency, and after it passes, they would have to just hire and train people to replace anyone they fired now.
