People continue to be super special. Their kids aren't going to school and kindergarten and half of them aren't going to work, so they're spending time with the kids outside. Old people milling about everywhere, people genuinely saying shit like "What are we supposed to do??? Stay inside??" Y E A H.
So fucking dramatic and difficult like they're being asked not to come outside for 2 years.
We're dealing with a situation that society as a whole has never dealt with before. They've never been told the word "no" to anything they've ever wanted to do. Americans, as a whole, are stubborn people who don't like being told what to do (I'm one of them, as well). Of course they aren't going to take the warnings of those with knowledge seriously. People are still out partying in cramped atmospheres, which is a perfect breeding ground for transmitting the disease. We don't have the discipline of a South Korea, and it's showing. We've been very, very spoiled as a nation. No true hardship for a long time.
We will see a massive spike in cases in the US (not to mention the world) over the next two-to-three weeks. I am certain of it.
Whether or not it finally gets the message across, I'm not sure.
