Wuhan Coronavirus: Lockdowns, Quarantines, Cancellations

I am the idiot for trusting Italy more than the Communist Party of China.
Ok coofer.
Do you trust Japan then which has "prevented" the spread of the disease, has barely any cases, and isn't doing spastic lockdowns like Europe and the US? Check the case distribution in Italy, the main people getting tested are the old people who are dropping dead. It's suddenly news that old people are vulnerable to disease, and this one is a little more lethal to COPD Boomer and his disowned pozzed son than the flu is.

This isn't a dangerous disease to anyone who doesn't smoke 4 packs a day, shoot heroin while taking dicks up the ass, or receive social security/pensions. Maybe it is if you associate with people like that but stay away from grandpa and the boys at the bathhouse and you'll be fine.

Japan is one of the most advanced and perhaps the most hygenic country on Earth.

Using it as your standard will not give viable data. You are making the super serial case here that lions are not dangerous because the fastest person on Earth outran it.

Even if somehow this virus did only kill off boomers, that would still mean a culling of professors, specialists, politicians and high ranking doctors. All right maybe the politicians will not be missed.

Do we want AOC to be the oldest House Representative able to work?

Hungary did not need a stock market or foreign trade for most of its existence.

We can go without it for a year or two if we must. It would suck ass but it is survivable.

9 out of 10 doctors in eastern europe are boomers.

Milwaukee: buses with very few people, Potawatomi Casino closing today at 5pm for the forseeable future. Water Street (bar district) silent as all bars and restaurants closed to dine-in service. For St. Patrick's day, where people take off work and hit the bars at 6am, it's really eerie. Never seen anything like this in my life and for this beer-centric city to shut down the bars, gives me a big thunk.

Rumours on reddit and fb, are saying that Australia is about to shutdown, either tomorrow which is Wednesday, or by Friday.

Has anyone got anything on it?

Was told by a reporter friend of mine about an 'emergency meeting' on Sunday between WA Premier McGowan and cops/medical pros but 2 days later, not much has come to light. Unless it was pre-planning for a Wednesday/end of week announcement like you say.

So I'm in small town not america, and so far nothing much is happening here other than being out of toilet paper.

A lot of office staff (which are fairly low risk due to being isolated in their own offices) are getting to work from home, but everyone who actually has to be in contact with people and items are still going.

Bigger cities in the province have demanded that bars shut down for st Patrick's but beyond that, it's at the bars discretion.

It's pretty weird seeing Italy die off and be locked up, while my town is still penalizing people for taking sick days

Got this in my student email yesterday:
pearson corona chan.png

At least some things aren't changing.

Non-essential businesses in New York City haven't been ordered to close by 8 PM tonight but I think they might by tomorrow. I just went out to a the Dominican supermarket and was able to get some fruit, bread and bleach. They were also well-stocked so that was good to know.
For New Yorkers who don't live near them this is a good protip, these places' supply chain is often totally different.

This shit is so surreal to me still. I was a vehement Corona-chan anti-doomer and still am but am amazed by how empty the streets are, etc. and how also how nice people are being to one another almost like post-9/11

Japan is not some hyper-advanced tech wonderland, that trope died with the Japanese economy in the 90s. Hygiene only goes so far.

A better analogy for you is the tribal leader banning his tribe from the best hunting, fishing, and gathering grounds because a retarded kid got munched on by a lion, some old man covered in deer blood was attacked and barely survived, and a few other people saw one and felt scared. The majority of the tribe did not see this lion. The tribe knows this particular lion (they know it's the same lion) is old and lame and mostly scavenges carcasses. Now their tribal economy is fucked and they will be miserable and suffer just as badly than if two or three other people got mauled.

Sure it means a cull, but how many of those old people are half dead or ossified as it is anyway like some 70 year old doctor or other professional blocking his 50 year old peer's career mobility. 5% old people dead doesn't sound like a bad tradeoff for not nuking the world economy and people living life more or less as usual. The only people buying into this shit are paranoid boomers who flip their shit at anything unusual (and don't realize/care that this is the same shit as Asian flu and Hong Kong flu in the 50s/60s in terms of danger) and people under 30 who have never seen anything like this.

Honestly if I got to choose between keeping the boomers or globalism....

I would choose keeping the boomers.
Globohomo cuck.

No more public church masses, the churches did this on their own initiative.

7-8% death rate in Italy.

Flue is 0,1%.
The real mortality rate in Italy is nowhere near 7-8%. Do you really think that everyone there with a cough is being tested? What about the asymptomatic cases? The number is inflated because for every death there are 50 more people with mild or no symptoms who don't figure into the official stats. If you only test severe cases, you are only going to find severe cases.

The cruise ship data tells us that the actual mortality rate, when adjusted for age, is 0.2%. And most of those who die will be over 70 with pre-existing conditions. In other words, it's twice as "deadly" as the flu. It's nothing.

Economy and civil liberties are the most important things for a corpse to have. This is not some unimportant school shooting glownigger ops. Countries that have nukes are afraid of bioweapons for a reason. This is worse than a nuclear disaster. Irradiation is not contagious.

At least the stupid sovereign citizen people who have no sense of caution will die second, after gramps and granny. Now if only sjws held public no racism hug a chinamen events like they did in Italy....

That's because there's no substantial recovered 'recorded' yet to balance it out, in Italy. They're faulty numbers at this point. They don't give the whole picture.
The rates I quoted aren't faulty numbers - they're fully inclusive of recovered... unless you think Japan and Korea are lying as well...

Also your concept of why it hasn't spread in Japan isn't fully correct. Even in Korea it's improved.
It improved in China. That doesn't mean normal well prepped 1st world countries should shut down - Italy is a shithole country.

You don't give up your liberties to as a society to protect a few. You also don't willfully crash economies and close down societies over C19 - which like Swine flu will enter the regular roster of seasonal flus by next year - unless you have something else to gain.
We already have leftist gypsys masquerading as experts on t.v. in Australia talking about shutting shit down for "6 months or a year" and making the government pay for it "to redistribute the wealth".

The US is holding a press conference right at this moment using the term "shelter in place". That's extreme.

Good luck getting liberties back after this, you'll have some epidemic tailored patriot act put in place.
There's a reason why Germany and Graham in the US want to slither in internet suppression acts atm.

If Italy is a shithole country, what is rural USA? Shitholer? What is balkanland? Shitholest? And we have not even touched countries that Trump would call shitholes.

Italy was 1st world like 10 years ago.

Plus we got a right wing ethnostate here. If only it was a far right authotarian ethnostate, I would gladly give up my rights for it.

When you say horrible horrible 1930-s, we called that the peak good times. So much so that it is a food fad.
