Update on a local Scandinavian toilet paper situation: I went to the supermarket and in the parking lot I met a man in his 50's carrying a bushel of toilet paper, no bags or anything, just bear hugging his catch.

I don't care about me getting it or not personally. I give no shits about whatever colds and flus, they're just stuck in the background noise of regular allergies. Hopefully as more famous people are fine people might notice it's just a damn cold.Anyone else who is in reasonable health and not that old kind of wish to just get it and have it over with? If it's really just like a flu - well that's very unpleasant but to go through and then be immune and also not have to worry about it afterwards would be kind of nice.
Not that I intend to do anything to unnecessarily risk getting it but it's been on my mind. If everyone is going to get it in the end anyway and vaccines are a year away.
I can see this point of view if you live in isolation and go into town for food once a month but seeing as 99% (of Americans at least) don't live this way, this is exceptional. "I just wanna get it over with so I can go back to doing what I want" works great if you never come in contact with people, and it takes honest, serious thought to consider how many people you may interact with in a three-week period, especially considering the evidence that it can be spread before symptoms manifest.Anyone else who is in reasonable health and not that old kind of wish to just get it and have it over with?

Ignore this faggot @Aaa0aaa0 ; he's one of China's assets that Pooh would rather pay far below the minimum wage for than to not build glass roads, garbage bridges (literally!), or actual cities designed for the 人.China has contained the virus, as have most other East Asian nations. You can even go clubbing in Beijing right now. Hundreds of thousands of Chinese citizens in Europe are actually paying for expensive chartered flights to return to China because they realize western governments are incompetent and cannot protect them.
My company is fucked on the IT side.An update on the working from home situation. Work for a large corporate with locations across the globe. Normally working from home is fine but had lots of trouble today. The voip app we use just wasn't working, connecting to the company network/VPN was a huge ass pain and kept dropping off. At one point we got a company wide email saying the voip service was stressed by the amount of remote connections and completely broke down for the whole of Europe.
In theory I have a job that can be done remotely but not if the company's IT infrastructure shits the bed. Anyone have similar issues? Any IT people here - can millions of people working remotelly stress consumer grade internet to breaking point?
Yeah, the experts "in the know" never expected to fully contain it.

In 18 months' time, over 60% of your population will have been infected with the virus and about 2% of you will be dead, with millions more suffering permanent lung damage. Meanwhile, the number infected in China will be a rounding error and most of the population will be vaccinated.Chinese confucian solidarity:
-no one even tries to help their neighbors.
-the government bars people home with giant metalic stocks.
-the hospitals crowd with uneducated morons thinking only about themselves and putting everyone in danger seeking testing that can't be done.
-the government only cares about its image and lets people die trying to get out of home for basic food through the window in desperation.
South european catholic solidarity:
-neighborhoods coordinate, make groups to check up on everyone, organize and ensure basic needs for everyone in them
-the government puts basic fines for not staying home and that's enough for most people to obey without doubt even 3 days before the fining could legally start just because people recognize the need to protect themselves and everyone around them.
-the hospitals are organized and enhanced and only recieve minor moron panick which is promptly shamed by everyone else as they are told to take it to the emergency number instead
-the government organizes extensive wmergency plans and even then we give them piles of shit for at this point refusing to test, the first selfish act they've commited, not because of any need to test for treatment (there is none as treatment is unspecific and symptomatic) but because testing is needed to ensure proper information for future similar events, specially by those yet to be infected.
Tell me again about how righteus you humanoid cockroaches are.
Cuomo is a Chinese Communist shill, he's got no problem using their methods and tactics. Running a close second is de Blasio who seems smug about imposing a lockdown and travel ban.

Patients between 30 and 50 years of age with no known underlying medical conditions are getting severe lung damage. Searched, and couldn't find this link posted already.
