Joe Biden swept all three primaries on Tuesday night in Arizona, Florida and Illinois, CBS News projects. The contests took place amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis that led Ohio officials to postpone their primary, which had also been scheduled for Tuesday.

In remarks after his early win in Florida, Biden, speaking from his home in Wilmington, Delaware, said his campaign appeared to have had a "very good night," but he also spoke about the coronavirus crisis. He told Americans that "it's important to get through this crisis protecting both the public health and our democracy."

Bernie Sanders gave remarks via livestream earlier in the night. He focused mainly on the coronavirus crisis and highlighted unity.

Tuesday's lopsided results will expand the divide in delegates between Biden and Sanders.

It's unclear when the next primary contests will be held. Georgia, which had been set to vote on March 24, has postponed its primary, as did Louisiana, which was scheduled to go to the polls on April 4.

President Trump, meanwhile, clinched the Republican nomination on Tuesday night
"This is bigger than any one of us," Biden said. "This calls for a national rallying of everybody together."

My number was not particularly unreasonable, with multiple states not in states of emergency, testing taking this long and the narrative some right wing people have jumped on that it's no worse then the flu as a result of Trump's repeated comments. There's blood on his hands.

I know you're probably just shitposting, but this still needs to be said.

A lot of doomers on here seem to forget that spring and summer are before the election and it's entirely possible that this new virus will burn itself out by November or they'll have some sort of vaccine or effective form of treatment by then. It's a novel strain of influenza, not HIV or Ebola.

COVID-19 started rapidly spreading in the midst of the Northern Hemisphere's flu season and it's a novel strain that spread due to the corruption and incompetence of China's government.

COVID-19 is a novel strain of coronavirus, which is one of the virus types that cause influenza. The only real danger about COVID-19 is the fact that it's a novel strain, so it's more contagious and has yet to have a flu vaccine to treat it yet, and the rest of the danger in the West comes from the fact that everyone's in a panic over it and the economy is fucked up by this mass panic.

The majority of the deaths from COVID-19 in the United States are elderly people or those with poor immune systems, same as H1N1 in 2009 and most other flu strains.

Unless you're a senior citizen or have a compromised immune system, you'll probably be fine so long as you practice common sense personal hygiene techniques, drink lots of water to try and stay hydrated, and get adequate bed rest.

China has such a massive death toll because industrial air pollution is so rampant and intense that your average Chinese proletariat has the respiratory immunity of either a 90-year old chain smoker or a 19th Century chimney sweep.

Italy got fucked hard mainly due to having one of the highest populations of elderly in all of Europe and partly because the EU was pressing open borders on them for so long, that they could not enact a proper quarantine until it was too late.

Stay alert and stay informed, but don't panic or give into mass media sensationalism.
