God only knows what to believe about China's numbers, but I remember the deaths vs recoveries being like this at first there too. From what I have heard you can still test positive even after your condition improves, so there is a little bit of lag before someone goes into the "recovered" column. I believe the U.S. requires two negative tests to be considered recovered. I am not sure what China's criteria was.US:
191 deaths
108 recoveries
I recall early in the thread talk of China's numbers and comparing deaths vs recoveries being important.
Why more deaths than recovered? Is it just too early in to see recoveries?
Who knows what will happen when the hospitals reach capacity though. I can see there being a few Italy situations springing up around the U.S.
I agree, I think it's a much safer idea to do one big trip than to keep going back go the stores. Especially if you're near a hot zone the stores are not safe to be in right now and all these memos from companies promising they're keeping the safety of the customers and their employees in mind are pretty much bullshit as is "senior shopping hour" which is a lovely idea that no one is actually enforcing.Does not matter, this kind of talk discourages all preparation and will kill people, just because there is 0,001% of people, who get too much toilet paper, is not an excuse to advocate people to potentially kill themselves by going to shop too often.
Your just-in-time access to TP is not as important as people's lives. Learn to do without or prepare like sane people.
The stores are full of coofers and their window licking children going apeshit because they can't stand being cooped up in their house and the "deep cleaning" amounts to someone half assedly swishing around a Clorox wipe on the soda coolers.
Maybe some companies are getting it right, but I haven't heard anything to that effect from the people who work for any of the big grocery chains or big boxes. Big boxes are especially bad because people are milling around browsing non-essential shit like makeup and clearance tablecloths. Maybe they want a last hurrah with cheap shit from China.
A Starbucks employee at my local Target tested positive, the store is certainly not advertising this or shutting Starbucks down. They didn't even tell the other employees working there that they were exposed. Just stuff for people to keep in mind, shit is getting real.
