Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Don't think Crowder can travel to China anymore now lol

A few years back, I read that David Thewlis was banned from visiting China due to his role in "Seven Years in Tibet," and I told my mother this.

Her exact words were," Why would he want to visit China? Why would anyone?"

Fuck, I need to stop reading these fucking articles. This one is an Italian doctor describing what the patient experiences while on a ventilator:
The worst part is here:
“It first struck me how different it was when I saw my first coronavirus patient go bad. I was like, Holy shit, this is not the flu. Watching this relatively young guy, gasping for air, pink frothy secretions coming out of his tube and out of his mouth. The ventilator should have been doing the work of breathing but he was still gasping for air, moving his mouth, moving his body, struggling. We had to restrain him. With all the coronavirus patients, we’ve had to restrain them. They really hyperventilate, really struggle to breathe. When you’re in that mindstate of struggling to breathe and delirious with fever, you don’t know when someone is trying to help you, so you’ll try to rip the breathing tube out because you feel it is choking you, but you are drowning.

Anyways, putting the infected into kholes would be better for the patients, doctors, and nurses it just looks bad to have everyone put into a medical coma IMO. You wouldn’t have patients panicking which fucks moral for doctors and nurses. They wouldn’t wake up thrashing with a tube down their mouth. Again, it looks bad, but it would ease the collective burden on hospital staff.

JACHO has a real big problem with chemical restraints for some reason.

Probably because none have them have worked with patients in forever.

We are in the middle of an infectious upswing...
Or, we're still right at the beginning? That's one of the questions that the government advisers have to consider.

We're not looking for a 'good' solution for this anymore, we're looking for the least bad.
And that's really difficult for lots of people to get their heads round, because we haven't had any real problems in the west for so long. Hence all the SJW shite & troonery etc. Everybody still subconsciously expects 'the government' to fix this, to come through with a win.

So question for medical kiwis, how long can you be on a ventilator for? I've always heard that after a certain point it can become dangerous and your breathing will become dependent on the artificial source.

With reports of people being on ventilation for 30 days or more, that seemed horrifying.

Please correct me if I'm mistaken or dumb for asking. I've got no medical knowledge or experience at all.

No reported recoveries for the day it seems.

A little run down of what has transpired / happened in France, it's not much but hold on to what the corrupt government from Macron has done so far :

Agnès Buzyn, former 1st minister of health in France, after loosing the post of mayor in the first round of municipality votes for Paris, (and losing her 1st minister place and the mayor position in march) told the press she knew everything about the coronavirus situation in China all going back to 20 december.

That same health minister has a husband, Yves Lévy :

Yves Lévy is the ex director of the Biological project of the Wuhan Laboratory (no joke)

Hold on to your butts now : HydroxiChloroquine has been tested and widely used in China to cure patients and successfully so (with additional meds around it of course), but Agnès Buzyn signed the Plaquinine / hydroxichloroquine medication as "highly venomous" the 13 january 2020.

She admitted that she warned the vice president in january of the scary situation in China, that she also warned the president about it the end of january (wich they didn't took her advice, has the 1st minister of health, go figure why they didn't, saying other medical staff didn't see the emergency )

Didier Raoult has been removed from the team of specialists surrounding the president, when the cure has been tested on over 50 patients and 94% of them recovered and seen the virus completely gone from their system (even if there is some side effects sometimes, but very mild, also, this med cannot be really used to save patients in very severe condition, you need to test people and discover they have covid 19 and administrate the med as soon as possible so they don't develop the most severe symptoms, or else, if you are already in ICU, it could just precipitate your death as your system wouldn't be able to fight off side effects along your very severe state already)

in early January Agnès Buzyn has sent 17 fucking Tons of medical supplies (including masks) to China, depleting the 1 trillion masks stock France had since H1N1

The 19 march, we learned that all the pharmacies in hospitals (the one that usually are closed behind digicodes and need medical personnel keys to open even after you open them with digicodes) Have been pillaged from all the plaquinine / Hydroxichloroquine stocks, there is 0 meds left, and they are banned from being sold without a prescription in all of France.

--------------------------------------------------

People start to believe all of these aren't coincidence and the government want them dead. The syndicate and union of Medics of France is suing the government for the Medical mask supply and chloroquine supply scandal. Union of lawyers are getting on it but of course the government is saying "we will speak about that after the crisis"

There is a new study in Belgium about "fine particles" or Particle matters (PM) and the ability of the virus to travel VERY LONG DISTANCES through pollution of the air and whatnot , this is very frightening because we knew it was aerosolizing itself at some point in China and reports came out , a little bit coocoo, of the virus being able to travel multiple kilometers.

This study tends to prove it, it travels through fine particles, it can be as tiny as 3 microns and get very very high in the air / atmosphere. I feel like we were right about wondering if OPEN AIR cremation in some area of China would lead to the virus travelling very far, very high in the air. Every fucking thing we were worried about and read about it from China is just becoming a reality.

Google translation of the article :

Remember when we were joking about this in february :

And wondering if using simple crematoriums , or burning bodies in the open in China, couldn't burn the fine particles if the virus survives the heat and shit ? Oh well... That was a joke but pollution and atmospheric particles / smog more than probably helping it travel is nothing to cough at.

How are they explaining the virus 1. surviving the heat of cremation and 2. surviving high int he atmosphere for ANY length of time? Between the UV radiation higher in the atmosphere and the temperature extremes the virus would be wiped out. Corona is no less vulnerable to these things as other viruses.

There is not a cross large enough on the planet to doubt this thing surviving cremation and spreading via atmospheric travel.

In theory, forever. In practice, they usually take the tube out that’s going down your throat and put a tracheostomy in if it’s going to be a while (couple of weeks or more normally )
I’ve never really agreed with no sedation ventilation outside of a few scenarios. . Being tubed and probed while fully conscious is really awful for the patient, they can’t sleep, can’t rest and they experience stress responses that are not helping recovery. Knock ‘em out and it’s better for everyone. Once they’re on a trach it’s different, because that’s not as hideous for them in many ways. If someone is delirious with fever they need to be out, for their own safety and the sanity of the staff treating them.
In practice, being ventilated has its own problems, including pneumonia and mechanical damage and infection. It’s not a nice option, but very few invasive life support methods are.

Well Vice President Pence will get test, one of his staffer tested positive. Politico Article

If Trump or Pence get the Wu Flu, you can bet the media will start shrieking about how UNFAIR it is they will get specialized treatment for the disease while most Americans won't. As if all of us don't have a compelling interest to not see the President, vice-President or both get killed.

Isn't knocking someone out with a severe upper respiratory illness a bad idea though? Seems like the last thing you would want to do is slow down respiration. or does it not matter as the ventilator is doing all the work?

So I browsed some local Reddit’s for some entertainment and they are fucking stupid. They have pictures of signs that I bet they made for karma saying free healthcare now and saying don’t be racist to the Chinese restaurants. Seem China is paying people to shill in areas with no Chinese people to deflect blame off of them.

China didn't used specialized Crematories in the beginning, just typical funerarium's cremation oven, there also was a loooot of burning flats, and fires around Wuhan / China at one point, looking like they were so over burdened wiht bodies they were just burning them in pitt or in the open, shared by HArry chen phd on twiwtter. These simple ovens that just releases the fumes and gazes as soon as it burns without really "containing" the fumes at all or long enough for the gazes to be burned at a high temperature enough, just freed in the atmosphere as soon as it fucking burns, at least, in the beginning they did use these simple crematoriums all around Wuhan before the government brought specialized industrial ovens / crematoriums.

It was mentioned earlier, but Ketamine can be used to knock someone out without arresting respiration, and most countries consider it an essential medicine.

Even without ovens, the temperatures produced by burning bodies in a big pile would devastate viruses. Coronaviruses survive for mere minutes at 80F, with exponentially worse results the higher that temp goes. Burning bodies would render the water barrier of viruses moot, and even if, by some measure, these viruses survived, the UV radiation in higher atmospheric layers combined with temperature extremes would obliterate them.

Like I said, "X" to doubt
