This thread's disdain for Filoni will never cease to amuse me. Really, this is literally the only place I've been to that hates his guts.

I have to wonder what he did to piss you guys off enough to put him on the same "level" as Abrams and Johnson.

Unlike Abrams or Johnson, Filoni's work is considered "Star Wars gospel." I don't hate him, But I do have some ill-will torwards and him and his stupid rectons and humilation of certain chatacthers to prop up his oc's.

It's a step up from the Disney Trilogy but that's not a big bar to pass, also there was a lot of criticism of Filoni Wars from both eu fans and film purist. I have mixed feeling on the show and Dave Filoni, I think this podcast will give you an idea that not all Star Wars fans were pleased with him even off the farms.

I like both the old Clone Wars Multimedia project and Filoni Wars on their own merit though I will say the MM project did a much better job with showing the morally gray aspects of the CIS. I think. Dave is a good writer with some tisms the biggest being an inability to kill his darlings. I'm not saying that he should be a very kill happy writer just that he should have a better idea of when its time to conclude a characters story and the proper way to go about it.

A shame since the vast majority of that project was some pretty good quality stuff that ran absolute circles among pretty much every Disney Trilogy tie in.

Because when you have lived on a diet of shit for years, even a stale moldy piece of bread is a feast.

Personally I am not a clone wars fan, it's not the Star Wars era I am interested in. I don't like Filoni putting his same handful of characters in every story where they don't belong. In addition, some things he did in Rebels were just plane retarded and insulting.

When your only other options are fart fetish books, Cuck Whindig scribbles, lootbox illegal bullshit, and an auteur choosing to make an unlikable movie, it's not hard to look good.

Kinda like how Sonic's good kid movie nature makes it look great in comparison to what it's running with.

Also argumentum ad populum is not a good form of rhetoric on why I should be forced to like something for merely being 'eh...', especially given I've seen how he acted before back when I was a teenager: from fanfic writers mad at reviews and ideas on their fics to shoving in their obssessions to even refusing to kill pet characters off.
