Has anyone took the time to visit your local hospital yet to report on this weird shit ? Not even asking to enter in them... just look around if there are so much people needing to be tested / treated outside as news says they are "overwhelmed" with waves of patients.... Maybe these are just country side / without a real need for patients right now and just in standby for the waves incoming tho.

Now it got me curious i'm going to check at hospital too tomorrow.

I can tell you what I know at least from my State and past experience. That Italian Hospital looks like every Hospital I have ever seen on a slow Sunday afternoon. Fairly empty, not a lot of activity. Without showing the CRitical Care wards it is hard to say if it has been stressed or not. But some of that looked like the ER waiting area. Which looked lightly occupied, and not overly stressed.

Here in Georgia there is really only 1 single hospital that is currently stressed. That is the one in Albany Georgia. Albany is a small rural city about 200 miles south of Atlanta in the middle of nowhere. And they have the states largest cluster besides the Cruise Ship people. And it is all older people who contracted it while attending funerals. (Someone got it traveling overseas). I think it is up to 12 or 18 cases from that initial funeral, and the subsequent ones. The Albany Hospital is extremely small with only 6 ICU/Critical Care Beds.

I believe New York, our worst hit state is seeing similar patterns. With only Jacobi in the Northern Bronx, the Hospital closest to the New Rochelle Hasidic community with widespread infection, really being overwhelmed at this point. The remainder of the New York hospitals are so far seeing a lower surge than was predicted. At least according to Governor Cuomo. (Mayor deBlasio may be screeching something different, but everyone assumes he self medicating with Hagen Daas and Meth.)

So an infected asymptomatic trucker can pass this infection to others on his cross-country route. He can spread it to people at every stop he makes along the way. And then the cashiers and waitresses spread it to locals and other truckers.

Just like venerial disease, but far less ... intimate.

Developing countries don't have the infrastructure to support such rapid transmission over large distances.

That's because it's only being detected and tested for in the West. Do you think Venezuela is testing? Or revealing numbers? Any Doctors in East Africa are keeping their mouths shut. Too many were killed in last years Ebola Outbreak, by militant groups accusing them of Witchcraft. Figure any day now they will claim it's Chinese Witchcraft and then things will get interesting.

Lack of testing and under-reporting of very mild/asymptomatic cases is what keeps those numbers low. My guess is the actual number of people who have been infected is much higher than what is reported, which would mean the relative percent of people dying is much lower.
