There's been some dead on a few old folks residences, and a LOT of abandoned or semi abandoned old folks holmes due to a bureaucratic fuckup the government has yet to recognize and it was indeed reported by the soldiers which were sent as reinforcements monday (when they should've arrived friday, hence the issue)

It makes me immensely salty but the way they phrase it makes it seem like the end of the world. Most residences haven't been affected. Sadly there's been residences affected on almost all provinces (almost thanks to cadiz, get fucked rest of spain we are better :p)

This was based on consideration of the UK HCID criteria about the virus and the disease with information available during the early stages of the outbreak. Now that more is known about COVID-19, the public health bodies in the UK have reviewed the most up to date information about COVID-19 against the UK HCID criteria. They have determined that several features have now changed; in particular, more information is available about mortality rates (low overall), and there is now greater clinical awareness and a specific and sensitive laboratory test, the availability of which continues to increase.

The Advisory Committee on Dangerous Pathogens (ACDP) is also of the opinion that COVID-19 should no longer be classified as an HCID.

The need to have a national, coordinated response remains, but this is being met by the government’s COVID-19 response.

Cases of COVID-19 are no longer managed by HCID treatment centres only. All healthcare workers managing possible and confirmed cases should follow the updated national infection and prevention (IPC) guidance for COVID-19, which supersedes all previous IPC guidance for COVID-19. This guidance includes instructions about different personal protective equipment (PPE) ensembles that are appropriate for different clinical scenarios.

The only places you have traces of silicon in the body are in cartilages and bones, and about 7 grams grand total !

it's going to be really interesting to retroactively go through the data to see which groups were hit hardest and more precise reasons/conjectures/studies as to why. some people have pointed out that southern euros are very touchy-feely (hugs, kissing on cheek, etc) which is why infection may have been so high compared to japan and south korea. but i seriously wonder to what extent genetics (pre-existing conditions aside) play a factor in mortality in this, as speculated throughout this thread and other places.

It's honestly not the worst idea. The vast majority of hospitalizations for corna dont require ICU care, they need a bed, medical care, and oxygen treatment.

Buildings like this, if done right (so not the way china does it), would allow for mass hospitalizations without jamming up hospitals, and give more room for nurses to work in. No different then the flu wards from 100 years ago. Now just to get the manpower and supplies needed to staff them.

Wuflu killed 140 yesterday in the states, and is already up to 100 today, and the US is gaining new infections faster than any other country, (barring China, who I don't trust the numbers for) at 10,168 yesterday and 7,126 so far today. It's already worse than flu.

Just because we may not agree is no reason to put someone on ignore.

Let's see how things develop. I could be wrong with my opinion re deaths/death rates. Gotta be able to cop to reality.

The Russian medical system overall isn't that great, unless you have money. Suspect the Russian medical system could be swamped quickly, at least in the big cities. Russia is a BIG country, with a population less than half the size of ours (about 147 million as of 1 January 2020), and about 10% of China's.

It's hard to appreciate how big and diverse Russia is. With an economy about the size of Italy's, there are big cities with a lot of wealth and nothing else. State run medical facilities are a joke, there's places where the hospital was built before Stalin and it shows.

Hydroxychloroquine works by making cells take in significantly more zinc then normal. Zinc inhibit's a virus's ability to reproduce. This significantly slow down the rate of infection and gives the body time to kill the virus. Viruses work by overwhelming the body's immune system and reproducing millions of copies to infect neighboring cells, Hydroxychloroquine stops that dead in its tracks for a short while. We know exactly why it works already, without involving micro machines.

And again, if these machines were present, someone else would have found them. Eyes have been on coronavirus samples for months, and you can bet a bundle the US government, and many others, were already looking for this exact shit when it started spreading like wildfire.
