Wuhan Coronavirus: Lockdowns, Quarantines, Cancellations

Hope this doesn't cause the second wave I'm pretty sure this is gonna cause.
>implying the first wave was over at any point
Ishigiddy diggidy

I'm not asking anyone to delete anything, I'm just trying to poke people back onto the relative topic. I don't know if there's an appropriate thread for personal Wuhan text-walling, though. There's so many threads for Wu Flu that I don't keep up with all of them.
Just take their textwalls and put it into a thread in spergatory under the title of "Wuhan Thunderdome".

Our lovely provincial government has finally released a list of all businesses that are to close due to the quarantine by tuesday, and businesses that are to be open as they're essential.
It would have been easier to make a list of all businesses that are closed instead; basically anything and everything is essential, and Toronto is booming with traffic now.

Alcohol, cannabis, bicycle shops, insurance, shady car salesmen. All essential. I imagine now is definitely the time to start staying home.

So I forgot to update on possibly the best example of a European country that does not fuck around with enforcement for a while, the tiny island of Malta. In the last week they have.
  • Ordered all non-essential businesses to close on penalty of a 3000 euro fine.
  • Started building pre-fab hospitals like the Chinese in preparation for the worst.
  • Producing aid packages for small businesses
And best of all, they are currently passing a bill that will whack the fine up to 10,000 euros AND make it so that if you are not a national (ie, one of these Africans or Indians or Eurofags that never listen to what they are told - the French, the Italians, the Brits etc), that these fines must be paid within 12 hours via electronic payment, or you can spend the rest your time locked up in the local police detention centre.

This is because one French faggot ignored quarantine 5 times - three times when the fine was 1000 euros and twice when it was 3000 euros because he planned on leaving once things relaxed and before the courts could get money from him, and foreigners have most consistently not been following regulations.

Do the apparent shadowbans for being honest about what the CCP did on Twitter count toward this thread? Anyway they came for Jersh now. Previously MisterAntiBully and Breaking911, probably others.

Hard Bastard's daily YT news stream is shadowbanned. I stopped getting notifications, and his feed doesn't show up on my subs page when it's live.

I can't wait to see what things will look like in a month or two. I fully expect widespread rioting because more and more people won't be putting up with this shit. Because fuck disease, they want some luxury. Expect stores broken into everywhere, and expect the National Guard shooting people in the streets with Strykers and other armored vehicles while the dying are hauled off to death camps in stadiums (let's play with fire and risk mutating the disease worse!) Maybe big-ass Army vehicles at roadblocks with some "papers, please" or just patrolling around everyone will bring the reality home to people that we turned our country into North Korea or WWII occupied France almost overnight and didn't do a thing to stop it. Who would've thought all you needed to institute totalitarianism is a slightly worse than normal flu?
I don't think these hard shutdowns are going to last much past the 1st week in April here in new england. They might exist on paper but once the weather breaks and it turns out to be "just the flu bro" for 90% of people who get it then your going to see mass disobedience. The sickly and old will have to stay shut in if they want to not die but everyone else will just stop caring what the government says.

The mayor of Los Angeles tried to shut down the gun stores but the measure apparently got blocked. So he’s shutting off utilities to nonessential businesses now. (archive)

Got curious about this and the sheriff and county attorney are contradicting each other about whether they’re essential in LA or not (archive). The article also notes that NJ’s online permit process isn’t taking applications anymore and they’re facing a federal lawsuit over it.

226 ill, 10 deaths in Hungary.

Tl,dr, goverment is putting soldiers around important company assets and on streets to help the police.
All 30.000 soldiers are on alert, and a 10.000 more retired soldiers can be re employed.

Chem companies are moving to sanitiser production.

The homeland above all else. The goverment's duty is to protect the nation first. Riches and comfort are lesser priorities. The citizens duty is to protect the nation. We exist for it, not it for us.

Pussy ass faggots can't stay home for a year lol. Where is your willingness to sacrifice? Where is your resolve? People endured way worse in history and survived.

Booooo hooo you have to stay home and watch Netflix, Disney + and all the other globohomo shit the US shits into the airwaves. What Horror! Woe is you! Rather the world burn than you be mildly inconvenienced. CWC agrees with you, smart galaxy brain fellow.

We must secure our people's future. Rights, luxuries , western decadence. The west can take it to the grave if they want it. Be the happy merchant that drowned because he wanted to escape the sinking ship and keep his shekel chest too.

Survival, duty, unity are way more important. Resist the kalgeri plan, white lives matter the most, it is the only thing that matters. Riches can be rebuilt. White replacement must be opposed at all costs.

White survival》Shekels of ZOG.

I think that shutting down parks is stupid. I am NOT going to spread or catch plague by walking on a walking trail.
Hiking is the easiest way to catch the literal plague, no srsly look up how people in the US catch it.

OK Xi.

Peeps are using this trash-fire topic as a political staging. Stop it. This topic is supposed to be 'information'. Yeah, I fucked up too. sorry.

Anyway, here is the John-Hopkins link to the Corona spread. People are having a hard time finding it, for some reason.
John-Hopkins Corona map

Side note: Hiking trails with shelters have crazy amounts of vermin - rats with fleas. The AT has black plague cases every year.

Michigan, USA (partial crosspost from the megathread)

Breaking our lockdown is a misdemeanor, punishable by $500 fines and possible jail time. Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) stated there will not be a "ramp up" of police enforcement (archive) Now the Attorney General has said local police will have to be the ones to shut down non-essential businesses, since her office has its hands full dealing with price-gougers and con artists (archive). So far, the word from the government is that only businesses will be fined and jailed.

ETA: another article about enforcing the lockdown.
(archive)

TL;DR It's not going well. Lots of businesses are trying to stay open. Some people are calling the police because their neighbors are out in the yard. 911 is swamped, and local police say the executive order is too vague.
Highlight:
Mlive said:
"The order prohibits work that isn’t “necessary to sustain or protect life.” Attorney General spokesperson Kelly Rossman-McKinney said some businesses have been trying to stretch that definition, including a window replacement company. “The employer said they were essential because people need vitamin D,” she said."

SHUTDOWNS
Shelter-in-place order and shutdown of everything non-essential (groceries, gas stations, pharmacies, the usual) from Tuesday March 24 to Monday April 13. (archive) (executive order saved on KF)
The Big Three Auto manufacturers (Ford, GM, Chrysler) are closing all factories in the USA, putting well over 150,000 workers out of work, until "at least April." This figure does not include workers at supplier factories, which will also be obliged to close. (archive) (archive) They will be making a small number of parts for emergency vehicles, and GM will be helping make ventilators (archive - ventilators)

FREE STUFF!
Free bus rides in Detroit after drivers' strike (archive- strike) (archive - free fares)
Free access to state parks (archive)
Evictions suspended while the state of emergency lasts (archive)

FREEDOM!
Semi-trucks carrying essential supplies can ignore seasonal road weight limits (archive)
Distilleries can make hand sanitizer without a permit (archive)
The city of Detroit is expediting the release of prisoners onto tether monitoring (archive)

BAD SIGNS
Corona-Chan may be about to begin her prison tour: one prisoner, currently hospitalized, is believed to have contracted the disease in said hospital. He will be kept in isolation once he is discharged from the hospital and returned to prison. (archive)
Six confirmed cases among patients and staff in Michigan psychiatric hospitals. (archive)
Detroit hospitals nearing capacity, with almost 450 Wuflu patients. (archive)
Big Brother is watching, and he approves. Massive phone-tracking project reveals Michigan travel down by 45%, compared to 40% nation-wide (archive).

LAW AND ORDER
Lansing (the capitol) police are not physically responding to minor crimes such as larceny, property damage, and break-ins to unoccupied buildings, including garages. Other police are adopting similar policies (archive). 5 9 18 Detroit police officers tested positive and 152 over 200 330 officers and 70 staff are quarantined (the Detroit Police Dept. has about 2,200 officers) (archive) (archive) (archive). One Detroit staffer is dead, age 38 (archive), and one Detroit police captain, age 31 (archive). Kalamazoo sheriff's deputy tested positive (archive).
Breaking the lockdown is a misdemeanor, punishable by $500 fines and possible jail time. Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) has stated there will not be a "ramp up" of police enforcement (archive). The attorney general has left it to local law enforcement to close businesses, as her hands are full with price-gougers and con artists (archive).

DEATH TOLL
Michigan deaths: 26 EDIT: 43. (archive), plus one Ann Arbor man allegedly killed by his roommate in a Corona-related dispute (archive).
