DSP's logic on why he's not a "muppet" is almost 100% because he hasn't dyed his hair. Did a dyed haired person date a girl he was creeping on or something? Or is this just a low-key petty-conservative dog whistle? Phil does realize some people dye their hair black right?

Fuck if I'm going back to find it, but he save scummed fighting a Revenant around a column in one level of Doom 2 and that's what you'll get as the type of example of 'cover' shooting in it if you ask for citation from him to back up his claim. YouTube thinks Phil has said "nigga" over 800 times. When watching the clips, he doesn't actually say that but since he has such a mush mouth YouTube thinks that is what he is saying.

His life experiences are unique and exclusive to him and his perspective is invaluable. Never mind that his entire viewer base has not only had to go through the same things as him, but also had to do it wheelchair-bound.

Phil strikes me more as a Union Democrat, which are common among middle-class Polacks/Italians in the Northeast/Rust Belt. They sound like Phil complaining about always busting their ass, jealous of richer people who must be working less than they do, etc... and the only reason they vote Democrat is because their union pamphlets tell them it's for their best interest. I assume Phil grew up hearing this from Dave when he came home from work, like I did with my Dad. Trump does well in winning some of these over, also.

Phil doesn't believe a word of what he says first of all, the only reason he keeps harping on about his legacy is as a defence mechanism. He knows he's a failure but has to keep the act up to protect his ego, it in a way also to keep his hard core fans because of his pignosis technique requires this us VS the world mentality.

He also doesn't have unlimited funds, in fact, he's got less disposable income than a high school kid working weekends at burger King, due to his insane amount of debt.

It's actually really sad that the only spending this guy who makes 120k a year is a weekly grocery run and take away taco bell lol. Oh, aside from his gambling addiction to wrahstlin gacha I guess.

What is disturbing though is his complete lack of shame when it comes to exporting the mentally ill and handicapped of their lunch money. That's a better reason to despise him.

I don't think the fact that DSP doesn't believe anything he says means levrentiyberia and MoonRocker are wrong, in fact it would fit well with your argument. He believes he should be upper class and desperately wants to project an upper class life while knowing he's failed constantly. Narcissism and low self-esteem go hand-in-hand.

DSP also only appears to have no disposable income, too. His massive amounts of debts are from years of spending on credit without ever planning on paying back, and even more recently, knowing he'll be "unable" to pay back. Even with the mountain of debt, he still spends like he's upper middle class. No matter how often you hear him say the annoying term "el cheapo" he never goes no name brand, he can only have the best ingredients and products (of course, in fairly typical nouveau riche standards DSP equates more expensive with better). Thinks to himself one day that he may want to start drinking coffee. Get a cheap French Press? A cheap coffee maker? Hell, live up to his Authentic Italian Heritage and go with an inexpensive Moka Pot? Nah baby, give him that hundreds of dollars high tech machine to see whether or not he even likes coffee! He needs to drive 5 miles a week? Fuck a used car give him that Beemer! He eats outs at least three times a week that he talks about, who knows how many times he'll actually eat out.

Also, don't confuse DSP having pedestrian, McMansion Hell taste with him being someone who won't spend lavishly.
