Benjamin Dreyfuss (1986-06-14), who touts his endorsement by his sister as a 'blogger' on his LinkedIn profile, is apparently the Editorial Director at Mother Jones. He lives at Apartment 5B, 15 Bridge Park Drive, Brooklyn NY.
He lives in a hideous highrise in Brooklyn Heights and he's afraid all those brown and black people he claims to stan will storm the gates and kill him when the looting begins.

For those keeping track at home:

This is the siezures and twitching we're seeing. Wonder if this also explains some lapses in judgement, like say, intentionally breaking quarantine, spitting on doorknobs, etc.

Their blood turns to acid.

And their blood fills up with shit.

This will also result in a lack of judgement in certain cases, as well as the damage to the male reproductive system. If untreated, this is the "looks fine and then falls over dead" thing.

A cytokine storm is basically your body's immune system malfunctioning and attacking your own body.

In this case, the cytokines fucking up causes your lungs to fill with water and multiple organs to get attacked.

You know all those insane bullshit theories we were hearing out of Wuhan about this being some sort of weirdo death plague?

They weren't bullshit.

We are absolutely fucked.
Seizures, strokes, heart damage, kidney failure, and cytokine storms all happen with the seasonal flu as well. There have been 3 severe flu cases this year near me, all in young adults in their 20s. One suffered two strokes and suffered necrosis on the leg requiring amputation, another had a massive heart attack and later dies, a third had to have a kidney removed and had swelling of the brain causing a minor TBI. All had Influenza type A. H1N1. Swine flu, the same disease that killed 60,000 americans in 2009.

Corona seems to be worse at causing these side effects then Flu is, but we dont have hard numbers for how hard these are hitting and this is a novel virus, our bodies have no experience with the disease, so these effects will be more common then in diseases that frequently infect humans every year.

This info is coming from a doctor in New Orleans. Said doctor doesnt provide hard numbers. Remember how we had the whole conversation yesterday about how the doctors in new york had absolutely no idea how horrific mechanical ventilation is? Until we have hard reported numbers, take with a grain of salt.

I do have to admit, the only thing that could somehow make this deadly pandemic worse would be a bunch of Dindus running around being Dindus.

Yeah posters tend to get cocksure in their predictions when they get reliably proven right at every juncture over the course of 3 months.

There are major health institutions that began this telling the world *not* to prepare, and now they're saying we're well over a month away from the peak whilst numerous national health services are already buckling. It's more than just the flu when you've got Trump staking his political future on ramming through UBI

So let me get this straight: the major health institutions and the media were thoroughly proven to be wrong earlier in this year, and therefore that proves they're definitely right now?

Nevermind that, I'd be afraid some shithead would rip the n95 off my head to sell it to somebody else for $20. Some other idiot would buy it even though it's clearly been worn and for all they know somebody might have been breathing the ChinkAIDS into it all week long.

These institutions dont want to admit they are running totally blind. Ohio is claiming that cases will not peak until may, a month and a half from now. We are already quarantining and shit, if the case load is just going to constantly go up and overrule th medical system, what the hell is the point of derailing the economy early? I though the whole point of quarantining was to prevent overloading the system, now its going to happen regardless?

The same people claim we are going to have 10000+ new cases per day soon (3-5000 more then italy, a country with 6 times the population and an actively collapsing healthcare system) despite only being able to test 17,000 people a MONTH. They also now say we need 3x the hospitalization room we have today, despite claiming a week ago that the shelter at home and quarantines would prevent the medical system from being overloaded.

They are still blindly swinging at that pinata. They swear they know where it is this time.......

Because 150,000 cases over the next 6 weeks is a big difference between 150,000 cases over the next say, 2.

It's obviously going to constantly go up and overwhelm the medical system. This was never in question. Exponential growth is a bitch.

The dreadful calculus is "how badly is it going to overwhelm it" and "how bad is shit going to get when it does?"

Maybe they should take some pointers from the Mexicans.

If the West does collapse, I hope the last thing President Trump does before succumbing is launch our entire fucking arsenal at the bugman hive. Cleanse it with nuclear fire, a final testimony that maybe, just maybe, China wasn't fucking NUMBUAH WON.

I get a feeling, if it does come down to that, it won't be the West that will strike down on China, but rather their neighbors, especially the Islamic ones as revenge for the Uighurs.

Except it was in question, because previously we were told "don't worry about it!" "It's not a big deal, go to Chinatown" "The flu is way more deadly anyway", and now the same people who gave exactly the wrong advice and predictions are now giving new advice and new predictions, but because they're doomsaying now they're definitely right? Maybe they've been wrong from the start and are still wrong? The virus is a bigger deal than they were saying, and now they're overcompensating and panicking to seem like they know what they're doing.

The problem is, Trump will have info we don't. Probably intelligence on whats actually happening in China, exactly how much medical equipment they are requesting, which would give them some rough idea of how many hospitalizations will be required.

The whole point of quarantining was to prevent the exponential growth that would cause such a catastrophe, flattening the growth curve into a linear growth the system can handle. All they will achieve with a month long quarantine, if they really believe the collapse is inevitable, is causing a second wave of exponential growth that will extend the period of SHTF by months, especially if hospitals are already getting screwed. If the difference is 150K cases over 6 weeks instead of 2, but at 30K cases your healthcare system collapses, and you are already int he beginning stages of that, you are just creating more new cases for a medical system that cant help them later as opposed to earlier, you haven't actually fixed anything. May as well just rip the band aid off, get the pain over with, and move on rather then prolong the pain for no real benefit.

But the same people think we will hit nearly twice the daily infection rate of italy with 1/6th the (much younger) population, while having no plan to be able to actually test anywhere near that many people. So I take any prediction they make with a morton mountain of salt.

About 5 or 6 years ago I almost died from the flu and had a serious seizure so can confirm. I was in my 20's at the time and after going through that shit, that's why I'm pretty pissed at the lack of seriousness most of America is taking when it comes to this shit.

Trust me, I went through a mere 24 hours of excruciating pain and the worst flu symptoms i.e. spraying out of each end every half hour or so until the seizure happened and then my girlfriend at the time got the joy of the cops harassing her and accusing both of us of being on heroin because of this shit.

The cherry on top is that I can't pass a DOT exam and drive for basically any serious company so there's another level of economic fuckatude that will arise from this situation.

Went to the hospital today for a small procedure.

Multiple check points were set up, first of which gave us masks and took temperatures. Not allowed to go into the waiting room until we were accounted for.

Waiting room itself was empty. Half the chairs removed, with sizable spaces in between. Kind of surreal.

Doctor had called twice in the past week to reschedule my procedure, which I thought at first was just because he might have been swamped with other duties due to the outbreak. Based on the completely empty waiting room and equally empty "pre-op" area, I suspect they rescheduled in an effort to avoid crowds.

I usually get this procedure done every 3-4 months, and never have I been in the pre-op area with less than 10 other patients. Today it was me and one other guy. We had about 7 nurses to ourselves, everyone wearing gloves and masks.

They were very stringent about the procedures. Washing hands between every step, even after just handing me the consent form for the procedure.

Was curious what they would do with my mask, seeing as they always give some o2 via nose. Was told to pull down the mask quickly and place the tubes in my nostrils, then pull them back. They aren't fucking around. That mask remained on me even while I was put under.

Place was eerily quiet. Just crazy. Got an email address from one of the nurses to see if we can 3d print or help with supplies. Most hospitals will have this, if you guys are feeling helpful. Just need to ask.

I doubt that'll happen. For all their posturing about Islam, it's just a tool of control that they selectively use on the masses and only pay lipservice to themselves (aka living in luxury and doing all the haram stuff). Which is why none of the Turkic countries have lifted a finger for their bretheren (and some are actually deporting Uighurs back to China).

These countries' leaders are also mostly oligarchs and are more usually than not bought off by China, while their countries are economic satellites of China/stuck in BRI debt traps, which makes retribution economically suicidal.
