I am a younger person and have known several people who are trans and several families who have trans kids. The only well adjusted trans people I have ever known, who lead normal lives, do normal things, don’t act out for attention and try their best to present as their perceived gender, decided themselves that they were trans in their late teens or even early 20s and came out to their loved ones of their own accord. Their family did not groom them to be trans at any time or encourage any LGBT shit, even if they suspected their child was gay- they let it happen on its own and allowed their child to become a full adult with adult rights so that they could decide for themselves whether they wanted to come out and what they wanted to do about it. All of the other transgender people I have known have been incredibly mentally ill and forced into an LGBT box by their families. They do insane and dangerous shit, have substance abuse issues and/or paraphilias and sex addictions, are either extremely self destructive or selfish (or both), and generally cannot function normally. In other words, parents who force shit on their children other than common sense basically batter them into thinking they are the parents desired version of themselves. Almost none of them are resilient or mentally stable enough to ever pull themselves out of the grave their parents dig for them. I imagine Desmond will be no different.

The one silver lining here is that the horror show mother hasn't tried to transition him yet. I just hope that continues.

The only thing that is stopping his mother from making him troon out is her market is fgt pedos. They want a little boy, not a medical disaster. With that being said I think it's a pretty safe bet there will be at least some transitioning in the future.

Jeff Younger (Dad) gets wind of this, and James reveals that it was Mom who was saying he is a girl. Long legal battle ensues through the end of 2019. Jeff's position was "Wait and see" because he wanted to be sure that this wasn't a one-off thing before doing anything drastic. Anne's position was the same as before. Eventually Jeff was pushing to get sole custody because he was afraid for his son's well being because of what Anne was pushing. Many legal shenanigans ensue, the latest one coming from 1/31/2020, ruling that both parents will have joint conservatorship over James, meaning ALL decisions would have to be agreed upon by BOTH parents. Obviously, this was totally unacceptable to Anne, who has promised more legal fuckery, likely until she either gets her way or is completely BTFO'd.

Unfortunately this is set to get even worse. Colleges and most other learning institutions have been infiltrated for many years and pumping out what basically amounts to soldiers or spies who then go into the workforce and do their utmost to influence things. That's why we see things like Comicsgate and this very thread. The older they get, the more power they're going to wield and they're becoming much more brazen about things because of that. The system has been rigged in their favor for a long time. Normal people having decency, morals, and common sense is pretty much the only thing holding them back.

It’s an interesting conundrum where his mom is the real lolcow, but Desmond is her most visible prop in cowdom. To ignore him would be to ignore the most interesting part.

Still I have seen children growing up with severe disabilities, emotional or mental, who are put in regular school and treated blindly as if they are "normal", in fear that the school will be seen as discriminatory.

It undermines a disabled kid's humanity to be forced into mainstream education.
