Its quite obvious people tend to settle on their own league eventually. The dog creature subhuman I referred to above for example would likely eventually end up settling down with a woman who is close to that level of looks. Sometimes there is a margin and the man marries up or down but it's not usually anything TOO unusual. If you saw the earlier animal with a model hot blonde on his arm for example you would assume he is very rich.So here's a conundrum that I face when trying to rationalize this line of thought.
"Beautiful" is, by nature, a rarity. Though it is a subjective trait which differs from person to person you simply don't encounter someone or something "beautiful" on a regular basis. Beauty transcends the average, therefore it cannot become commonplace. If physical beauty is ultimately what most people are attracted to that creates a problem because there's simply not enough of the super model-esque beauty to go around.
So if most people are not attracted to anyone outside of this small margin then how do you account for the high number of married couples? How does the human population not only sustain itself but continue to grow at an alarming rate? This doesn't add up.
