Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

You and any other doomer in this thread would be the first to die, as would most internet speds in such an apocalypse. Just because you get a stiffie over wanting to be the Road Warrior doesn't mean anything.
Disconnecting from cancer like NYC and SF wouldn't bring the apocalypse. It will save us from it.

Man this thread is moving way too fucking quick now, I am beginning to get the impression that everyone that was actually posting relevant information just gave up at this point. I think I might just go back to trolling the DSP thread or trolling some of the troons, because this has gotten too out of hand. The hysteria has gotten ridiculous, seeing the same sources is starting to give me a headache. Just almost seems like because everyone has lost their job, all they can do is refresh CNN or quote some orange man bad shit, or parrot the same 4 or 5 talking points. Just remember everyone, wash your penises and you'll be fine, that's what daddy Peterson told us before the bat aids got released by Winnie the Poo. Now excuse me while a coof in Grandmamas face.

You're on a site whose purpose is to mock people and you expect them to withhold judgment? Judgment is what this site is for.

Cuomo is threatening to sue Rhode Island for hunting down New Yorkers. This fucking guy.

This mongoloid Cuomo is making us stay in our homes and starve and he's pissy RI doesn't want a bunch of NY assholes leaving their pods and fucking them up with the Chink AIDS? Go ahead and sue.
Racism is everywhere. I've dealt with it on so many levels. Sometimes it flares up to unmanageable levels, but the American Midwest or the Southeast does not have a monopoly on racism and bigotry. And the coasts are not anywhere near as "enlightened" as some pretend.

Racism-related incidents seem to arise everywhere.
New York City is the most racist city I've ever lived in, LA and San Francisco are second and third. People were wonderful in Norman OK. Amarillo TX, Johnson City TN and lots of little towns in the WVA Blue Ridge Mountains. I'm getting out of NYC as soon as I can manage it.

Looks like NY, CT, and NJ have entered in to a suicide pact.
Rhode Island and Massachusetts are laying the foundation to start cracking down on border jumpers.
Hopefully this lays the foundation for the breakup of the US. I am tired of being ruled over by coastal elites in NYC and California. One can hope.
I wouldn't get your hopes up. Wrangling tards from New Jersey/York is pastime in Pennsylvania. And if Massachusetts and Rhode Island are willing to help we'll have the Northeast locked down pretty quick. It's not the Keystone State for nothing.

Compliments to Judge Holden for the video.

WA, VIC and Tas are going OTT because they have labor governments who want to look like they're doing everything perfect, whilst shaming NSW. But at the same time, refusing to acknowledge that most people live in NSW and it's the main hub for international travel. Global business wise, every thing is in Sydney. Literally no one gives a shit about the rest of Australia, of course there's more overseas travel.

Australia loves mining so much they've appointed a mining company executive as economy tzar:

Nev Power to head new national coronavirus commission
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has set up a national coronavirus commission, headed by former chief of Fortescue Metals, to "solve problems" with supply chains and staff.

I predict at least one of the doomers in this thread will murder their cat and get gunned down by the police with all the panicking this thread is filled with.

Amusing given that it proves that you guys still listen to the stuff that you deem as fake news.

It's strange to me to see people sneer at the media for one reason but then consider it super reliable for another.,

Had to make a home improvement store run today due to running out of project supplies..The stores were full of people.

I have made an observation, maybe it's just me, so I'm putting this out there for others to comment. Some of the people I see out shopping have this uneasy look on their faces. For some, it's not exactly fear, but you can see the uncertainty in their eyes. It's totally weird, because I live in the South, and people are generally friendly and courteous. This thing has most definitely changed people..I wonder how we are going to interact as a society going forward?

Even though TPTB have said it's okay to run errands there's a huge push by some individuals to shame anyone who dares exit their home. No one is sure of when they might be accosted by some Karen screeching about how going out is going to cause martial law and aliens and certain death. (of course it's okay when they do it, just not others.)

Look, I know all you people are currently obsessed about potentially losing your loved ones to this deadly virus and how you may lose your job and livelihood in the future...but we must remember who the real victims are in this situation!

Coronavirus In Minnesota: ‘We’re Watching You’: Racist Note Left On Woodbury Home Of Asian American Couple

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Twin Cities couple Alvin Moua and Vanishia Yang say they are sad and angered by a racist note left on their door this week.

When Moua returned home Wednesday, he noticed a piece of paper stuck to his front door in Woodbury.

“I thought it might have been a notice sign,” Moua said. “As I got closer to it and actually read the note itself, yeah, it was pretty disturbing,”

This was the note plastered on his front door:

(credit: CBS)
“We’re watching you f—— c—– take the chinese virus back to china. We don’t want you hear infecting us with your diseases!!!!!!!!!!”

The note was signed, “Your friendly neighborhood.”

Moua’s emotions were racing.

“Anger. Frustration. A lot of anger,” he said.

After alerting their landlord, he called Woodbury police. The department tells WCCO there are no leads, although detectives are working on it.

“This sort of behavior has no place in our community. We are saddened that a person would be so cruel as to racially blame a neighbor for COVID-19,” police officials said.

That sentiment was echoed online. Yang’s post is drawing hundreds of supportive comments.

“It kind of, I guess, makes me sad, I don’t know, because I would like to feel welcomed here,” Yang said. “It’s hard. You know, it just makes it a little harder to be Asian American.”

Though it’s painful, Moua and Yang think it’s important for all to know about the hurtful things that are happening close to home.

“Please don’t be afraid to share your story. I mean, we need to spread the awareness,” Yang said. “Because, obviously, there are people out there who care.”

Woodbury Mayor Anne Burt apologized to the couple on behalf of the city. She encouraged victims, or anyone aware of these incidents, to call 911.

"Hey Rabbi, whatcha doin?!"

https://www.covid19data.com.au/ is also another fantastic page, run by volunteers using the health department's stats.
It shows where the virus has come from - most cases are the people coming from overseas, there's really not a whole lot of community transmission.
I also suggest Australian's read the DoH's action plan.

The only reason Australian cases are going up, is because we've been repatriating 1000's per day. I think Thursday or Friday saw 7800 people coming back into Australia. All those people are locked down. Screeching about it, but fuck them. Do your 14 days in a 4 star hotel and shut up.

The media keeps saying "cases are soaring", but they're cases that are only coming from overseas travel. That's in line with containment.

WA, VIC and Tas are going OTT because they have labor governments who want to look like they're doing everything perfect, whilst shaming NSW. But at the same time, refusing to acknowledge that most people live in NSW and it's the main hub for international travel. Global business wise, every thing is in Sydney. So Australia is seeing very little community transfer, despite having active cases longer then north america and euopre.

Hey, remember when I was saying that hot summer weather would put a severe crimp in Coronavirus' spread? I'm starting to think I was right...

Fellow Kiwis, I am taking a break. I re-seasoned the cast iron pans and I'm getting ready to cook into the wee hours, Making Texas chili from scratch, corn pone and a pot of pasta fazool for later. I did get most of what I wanted from the delivery and what I didn't I can get from the Dominican supermarket (they have a butcher).

My neighbor is making lasagna (we can talk across the courtyard from out kitchen windows) and is sending some over, on the one night I'm cooking. I'm not turning it down, it's nice of her to do so,

You damn fool! fomites are one of the transmission method of the wuflu!

If theyre only putting police on the borders i guess that means everyone is speeding in the heart of these states. Fucking hell.
I was on Central FL I4 tonight and holy shit people were fucking driving crazy(er than normal)
Person driving said apparently highway cops don't want to pull people over because they're scared of getting coofed

I noticed something when I looked at the map of cases in the United States. More of the Midwest and Eastern states are completely covered up. Amazingly, the western spots are also hit but not as covered. California has a lot of cases too of course. But from videos I've seen, photos and things I've seen- more people are taking the social distancing seriously and California cities basically look like ghost towns and there are less cars on the streets.
Los Angeles and San Francisco still have it bad, but it's interesting.
I do know that more numbers will pop up and things will change. But I'm glad that people in California are actually following the rules in the cities. I'm also seeing a lot more people in masks at stores.

You mentioned Johnson City, TN..I know that place..Great little college town. Almost lived there myself. Chose a little deeper in the woods, lol.

Up north I found the opposite-my local big box hardwre retailer was empty in the afternoon, it was like 6pm on 7/4 or 11:30pm on a Sunday, Walmart pretty dead too.

not sure if posted but another art by LushSux. source from /pol/
and I tried to find different views, but none
But this was posted on Reddit but was deleted I think cause a few users were offended by the art piece. What a bunch of sour SJW cunts

View attachment 1206807

Can you just delete stuff on reddit because you and a couple of people find it "offensive?"

Is this something you are assuming, or is this something that happens a lot? Maybe Reddit found it offensive, or the artist took it down ...

This is my opinion. As a person with some training in critical theory and aesthetics:

This piece criticizes Chinese leadership's manner of managing the outbreak of COVID. It suggests that it is toxic, poisonous, and deadly. As the leader appears to be dehumanized by this virus, this presents an allegory about how humanity has eroded from the top, down, in China.

The intention of the artist is to present an image that IS jarring and distorted. Because it is a reflection of the exact crisis it presents, which is jarring and distorted.

.......

If you find this offensive, making it vanish won't change the reality it depicts. It is supposed to run contrary to our sensibilities. Supposed to make the viewer think, that's all.

Censorship sucks. It is an action that enables narrow minds to control the flow of information, quash creativity and limit social commentary.
