Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

I'd also add that much of NY infrastructure is quite old and built to the logistics of an older time, halls and starways are narrower and shared ventilation shafts are also common. Most of CA is (with a few exceptions) built post 1920 and in a much more rambling pattern. Outside of condo towers for the posh in the city centers, it is rare anywhere on the west coast to have an apartment building taller than three stories and they generally are fairly separate, often with outdoor access for each unit and separate from each other with little to no directly shared airways or plumbing .

There are other places with similar density to NY, Chicago in particular also has century old multi story tenement style apartments. I'm curious how thing will fare there

Yeah, Baltimore and Boston, for sure, same situation as NYC.

Can also see the same issues in Russia. From what little I have seen there are many large apartment buildings in Russian cities. Add the general state of Russian health care and the population's health and I can see the ChiCom Flu taking a toll.

You can also see the CA model in Texas, Arizona, New Mexico. Cities tend to grow outward rather than grow upward.

Video archives from March 28

Welp, Renegade Cuck posted a video about the pandemic.

I wonder if he'll come to the brave and stunning Breadtuber conclusion that Orange Man is Bad?

Hey look at this video I found from an seemingly exceptional individual in Dublin. IT'S THE WALKING DEAD I thought this was a funny share, how this chick just flies off the handle is insane. THE VIRUS IS AN EXCUSE IT'S 5G ; I guess the funniest thing about this is the whole emergence of the 5G theory, which there is medical evidence, and many folks that have seen the true damage this virus can cause. Yet we have people still running around spouting Q-Anon boomer theories. This is the problem in that community, people connecting dots that are just not there...

A song for unity from various singers in the Philippines, it has a mix of English and Filipino:

Maybe if those Hollywood people did Imagine like this, they'd get a better reception?

Norm MacDonald has achieved his Final Form of Grizzled Old Man and it's fucking awesome.

This channel has one of the best 3D animations in biology science field on Youtube. They posted a new video, about our Corona chan, of course.

There's video of that. Things are bad, if even the sight of soldiers carrying rifles can't persuade the people to stay in homes. Or they just can't grasp the concept of lockdown. If africans can't understand science of viruses, maybe authorities should just say that withcraft or some black magic happened there. Social distancing is unheard of, obviously.

Third time I've seen it posted today. But it's good stuff so keep posting it!

Here's some boomer humor to lighten the load:

Been a while since I sperged out. But seeing as this is my personal blog and KF is an insane asylum, I'll give it another go.

Went to the shops today. First time in weeks. I wanted to buy beer. But I needed some food stuff and things like 'electricity' that we can only buy on a key in the UK. I'm changing my energy provider to take direct debits out of my account so hopefully I won't need to go out again for this. A beer run is fun, but buying leccy is a necessity.

It was like a scene from Planet of the Apes. No, I don't mean there was niggers everywhere. No niggers to be found in fact. A severe lack of niggers. Just a severe lack of life. Even very few cars on the road.

The shop shelves were empty. All the Lentils have gone now and won't be coming back. Supermarkets don't sell them and when they do they are out of stock. Ebay charges triple prices as does amazon. These were the good days...

Fresh fruit and veg all around, I guess because not many people are coming in to shop. This is the shop that had 650 plus customers in a morning, out of a town of a coupla thousand. West country, not far from Bristol.

The mood was sombre.

My folks are near to death's door. My step father is having palliative care and even they find it difficult and a full time job to get groceries.

It's really habbening, isn't it?

Well, yeah, but it's not habbening as much as it's gonna be habbening in the coming months.

I don't see how this gets better.

Sainsburys: Can't even log on. Only deliver to the crippled and lame should you miracle out and get a slot.

ASDA: Systems down. Can't update orders. Home deliveries weeks away. Won't have what you order anyway, so forget it.

Tesco: Can't get a slot. Won't ever be able to get a slot again now. Forget it.

Morrisons. Don't deliver to your area. Forget them as well.

Waitrose: Not taking on new customers.

So that is it.

My folks have spent every day for the last weeks getting stocks in. They didn't listen to me in Jan/Feb when I told them this was going to kick off big stylee in March. Now they see it on the news it's real. Well, that and the fact they can't get any order slots from any UK supermarket. Shit got real.

Pasta is totally sold out. Nothing at all left. Good job I got about 16K of it in my larder.

Shame I didn't stock up on lentils, but there you go, I got about 16K of Rice so I won't starve.

Not much point in going to the local shop. Except for beer.

My freezer is bursting. I have so much bread I'm gonna need to work that bread and butter pudding recipe a fellow farmer recently posted. My beer only lasts for the day. And that's the way I like it.

I'm feeling better in myelf after mega dosing Vitamin C at a level of 12 grams a day for a week. That and NAC has really helped clear up my munged up lungs and shortness of breath. I was dosing 16 grams a day of Vitamin C for a while. No runs or upset stomach or reflux. Must have needed it.

I dose up on all the important B Vitamins (most of them), taking care not to overdo some that can cause nerve damage or are contraindicated when taking Zinc. I take Magnesium at night to calm the fuck down as well.

I maintain a healthy diet that is spartan but luxurious when necessary. I eat like a king somedays and a pauper, others, all according to what my body tells me. I also listen to my mind too. So if I wanna binge on peanut butter, it's ok.

It was good having a walk today. Planet of the Apes style.

I don't see how much longer these corner shop co-ops will keep open. Shelves are bare. No customers. Employees on edge.

No more lentils.. Ever again. No more pasta.

The end of history.

It's going to get worse before it gets better.

But it's going to get much more worse before it gets worse again, before it gets better.

These were the good days.

But worse things happen at sea.

The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they called Gitche Gumee
The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead
When the skies of November turn gloomy
With a load of iron ore twenty-six thousand tons more
Than the Edmund Fitzgerald weighed empty
That good ship and true was a bone to be chewed
When the gales of November came early
The ship was the pride of the American side
Coming back from some mill in Wisconsin
As the big freighters go, it was bigger than most
With a crew and good captain well seasoned
Concluding some terms with a couple of steel firms
When they left fully loaded for Cleveland
And later that night when the ship's bell rang
Could it be the north wind they'd been feelin'?
The wind in the wires made a tattle-tale sound
And a wave broke over the railing
And every man knew, as the captain did too,
T'was the witch of November come stealin'
The dawn came late and the breakfast had to wait
When the gales of November came slashin'
When afternoon came it was freezin' rain
In the face of a hurricane west wind
When suppertime came, the old cook came on deck sayin'
Fellas, it's too rough to feed ya
At seven p.m., a main hatchway caved in, he said
Fellas, it's been good to know ya
The captain wired in he had water comin' in
And the good ship and crew was in peril
And later that night when 'is lights went outta sight
Came the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald
Does any one know where the love of God goes
When the waves turn the minutes to hours?
The searchers all say they'd have made Whitefish Bay
If they'd put fifteen more miles behind 'er
They might have split up or they might have capsized
They may have broke deep and took water
And all that remains is the faces and the names
Of the wives and the sons and the daughters
Lake Huron rolls, Superior sings
In the rooms of her ice-water mansion
Old Michigan steams like a young man's dreams
The islands and bays are for sportsmen
And farther below Lake Ontario
Takes in what Lake Erie can send her
And the iron boats go as the mariners all know
With the gales of November remembered
In a musty old hall in Detroit they prayed,
In the maritime sailors' cathedral
The church bell chimed till it rang twenty-nine times
For each man on the Edmund Fitzgerald
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they called Gitche Gumee
Superior, they said, never gives up her dead
When the gales of November come early

Fellas, it's been good to know ya

Can I just say that I love that the Indian police are beating people with sticks if they don't stay home. It's like fucking herding cattle.

Why do they slap?

Pleased to be slapping with you!

Why no more lentils... ever?

Higher powers? I have no idea of what to make of this. A friend sent it along.

At first, I thought it was the crystal waver that was a Dem candidate- Maryanne Williamson. May as well be.

"Root chakra" "ascension to higher levels", I know this one actually.

The terms she uses are from the "Spirit Science" branch of Woo. Branch named after the biggest and most visible cult within it, made by some Jordan whatever. I recomend "Martymer"'s video series debunking it. But for a small list of hilarious beliefs they preach:

-Jews are from space.
-There is a cabal of martian reptileans who ruled atlantis and are responsible for everything bad that happens pretty much ever, including both hitler and stalin.
-The galaxy is a donut. No really, seriously, thry think the galaxy is a donut.
-ancient egyptians were as big as the statues from Abu sim bell.
-you can become inmortal by Ankhin your sexual energy through your third chakra.
-autism is a superpower.
-the moon is an egg.
-native americans are fish people (like from innsmoth, yes)
-niburu exists.

exciting update: more outpatient clinics are closing, there's a week+ turnaround for outpatient testing in my county because labs are slammed. inpatient you can get results sooner.

I don't know what the testing situation is like in the rest of FL but don't particularly trust the numbers coming out of the Tampa Bay metro area.

It's always amazing the amount of insane and fake information that gets spread around about Catholic beliefs and practices. Catholics have no problem with Cremation. You're just not supposed to scatter the ashes or leave them in a closet at home. They are to be interned at a Cemetery or church Columbrarium (sp?).

Yeah you're supposed to keep the ashes together. And bury them somewhere. Don't scatter them. Otherwise cremation is fine. Also it's columbarium. Some of which are in churches but they're pretty pricey.

It's the Eastern Orthodox that have issues about cremation. Asian countries get a special dispensation for it but otherwise, ehh...they don't want you to do it.

Why no more lentils... ever?

We'll have to process the vegans into a meat-based lentil substitute before this is all over. I'd run a test program using animals as feedstock but that would be unethical. We'll have to wait until the vegan dead begin to pile up in the freezers and all other forms of food have been exhausted.

You one of these reddit sodomites? Only redditor scum use double newlines - stop that, assimilate, become a man of culture. FYI - prepaid electricity/gas in the UK is only for people who refuse or are incapable paying their bills - this is not common, it's the last resort measure against chronic utility-thieves.
Don't forget to decontaminate your shopping - I legit wash my beercans in the sink :D

Yeah Spirit Science has alot of videos on their Youtube channel. It’s a funny part of the internet to explore.

No more lentils.. Ever again
if you have any lentils, you can make a lot more by mixing it in some wet dirt and putting the wet dirt in the sun (or a sunny window). They are literally the easiest legume to grow and you can crowd them in a pot an still have a lot of success. They grow in terrible soil, so you don't have to buy potting soil.
