Still, I get the point I think you might be making. These last 12 episodes could have been a good way for TCW to wrap up and set the stage for the events before and during the start of Episode III. While it's possible that the Siege of Manadlore arc is intended to be the transition between the two, the remaining new TCW episodes really do feel more like The Ahsoka Show than a continuation of TCW. There's nothing wrong with showing what happened to Ahsoka after she left the Jedi Order, but there's no need for her to be the main emphasis in these episodes that could have been used to present and showcase some of the events leading up to the start of Episode III such as Palpatine's plan to have himself "kidnapped" and use it to rid himself of Dooku and further groom Anakin for his fall to the Dark Side.

I would like to see more Scheming from Palpatine setting up his "kidnapping," but at last we are stuck with the Ahsoka show. At least we got the Kidnapping in Genndy Wars and Filoni Wars hopefully won't overwrite it.

I would think Filoni would avoid depicting the Battle of Corusant out of some Respect for Genndy, but I highly doubt it.

If you have the time to listen to some Rebel force Radio, It's pretty clear he has some disdain for that show even if he doesn't outright say it, despite that his series taking a lot of design elements from it. Though that was George originally wanting the show to fill in the gaps of the Microseries, but either out of greed or popularity/ratings Geroge Lucas kept extending the show to like six seasons.

This artwork by Dave Filoni has apparently fueled Rumors that Rex may be joining Ahsoka in The Mandalorian.



It wouldn't be a big deal if this was simply Dave doing something that speculated "What if Rex and Ahsoka appeared in The Mandalorian?" If he's that intent on including either or both characters in future episodes, though, the natural question is "Why?"

if either character had a reason to appear and be part of the story as a guest or cameo character, it might work or make sense. However, I fear they'd appear simply for fan service and to shoe horn them into the show in an attempt to have Ahsoka (and now Rex?) appear in as much SW media as possible.

Not knowing the timeline for The Mandalorian, I'd also wonder if Ahsoka appearing in it would conflict or cause plot holes with the events and her actions in Star Wars Ahsoka. Given how Disney's new SW canon has so many inconsistencies with itself, however, Disney/the SW story group probably won't care unless too many die hard fans press the matter. Maybe (big emphasis on maybe) then would they offer an unimpressive explanation or retcon in response.

For someone who might offer the counterpoint, "Gee, didn't C-3PO and R2-D2 appear in all kinds of SW media?" I'd argue that while that's true, George Lucas ultimately included them when and where it made sense most of the time (along with numerous scenes where they provide campy comic relief). Rarely were they shoehorned into something as a gratuitous attempt to include the characters for no other reason than the sake of including them.

Good. I hated that hotel idea from day 1. Galaxy's Edge is probably going to eventually be turned into something else because absolutely nobody gives a shit about Star Wars these days. Honestly, I could see a heavy retheme into a Frontierland expansion while utilizing the same ride systems.

Did Lucas have any part in writing/producing the film? If so, I'll gladly chalk this up as one of the rare exceptions I previously mentioned.

If this was one of Disney's first SW films apart from TFA, I can't say I'm surprised to see Disney gradually stripping Artoo and Threepio of the traits that made them fan favorites over the decades. Under Disney, the pair sadly weren't immune to having their characters rendered irrelevant like other Lucas-era characters Disney included or referred to in its films and media. One can better understand why Sir Anthony Daniels decided it was time to bow out after Episode IX.

Even if the property gets retooled for a different Disney-held franchise, it won't change the fact that Galaxy's Edge never got any sort of return on investment for all the potential, hype, and money that went into it.

They did resell Power Rangers after somehow managing to fuck that up which Saban literally bought back for pennies compared to what he initially sold it to them.

Rex's cameo literally showing what you just wrote and him telling the wipper-snappers he is too old, retired, just want to spend his remaining time with his family and very willing to use a blaster on anyone wanting him to do "one last mission."
But with Filoni involved best to keep Rex out entirely as Filoni will have him do an "one last mission" story arc.

It makes Superstar Limo look like a mere flop in comparison - California Adventure really was a half baked park but it was ultimately salvagable into what it is now. Even Superfail Limo somehow managed to get transformed into a decent Monster's Inc ride with what amounted to a simple overlay on the exact same ride system and animatronics for the most part.

There is no salvaging Galaxy's Fail. This is exactly the danger of tying something of this scale to such a specific franchise - if you have to dump the theming, it becomes less work to repurpose it. Which is why I suggested Frontierland expansion simply because the "Black Spires" were designed to mesh with the Big Thunder Mountain topography. But it was an overpriced shopping mall built entirely on the premise that Star Wars couldn't possibly fail.

I honestly don't think we'll be seeing much of Star Wars beyond Mando S2 for years now. Disney is on the verge of bankruptcy thanks to the money flow being cut off and the Fox buyout being such a terrible idea. In fact, they might just sell it BACK to Lucas and scrap everything simply to try and cut losses like they did Power Rangers.

I honestly don't think we'll be seeing much of Star Wars beyond Mando S2 for years now. Disney is on the verge of bankruptcy thanks to the money flow being cut off and the Fox buyout being such a terrible idea. In fact, they might just sell it BACK to Lucas and scrap everything simply to try and cut losses like they did Power Rangers.

The Fox assets and film library are actually a lot more than the Star Wars IP itself, so if Apple buys Disney who won’t own Star Wars anymore, Apple will still make money from the Fox library.
