Lahndan Stuff

I remember the 2011 riots, and I remember how popular an option it was among the public when repeatedly asked to just deploy the Army and have everyone kicking off just shot. Because that'd sort the problem out rather definitively.

Instead, the MET was told to put the lid back on shit and the justice system proceeded to give eye watering sentences to people at the behest of the government and CPS, who promptly got convictions for things like 2 years for stealing a bottle of water, and 10 years for a pair of trainers being nicked.

I suspect anyone kicking off this time might find the Police a bit more... creative when told to be. Like how the deoderant licker in the USA got indicted on terror charges.

The other highly comedic force at the moment is obvious Derbyshire and the fallout of their expensive toy. They've been nice and quiet since then, and are sticking to actual crimes and RTC's once again.

Death of German Finance Official Linked to Virus Crisis
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
March 29, 2020, 3:47 PM GMT+3 Updated on March 29, 2020, 4:30 PM GMT+3

Berlin (AP) -- The state finance minister of Germany’s Hesse region, which includes Frankfurt, has been found dead. Authorities said he appears to have killed himself and the state's governor suggested Sunday that he was in despair over the fallout from the coronavirus crisis.

The body of Thomas Schaefer, a 54-year-old member of Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union, was found Saturday on railway tracks at Hochheim, near Frankfurt.

Police and prosecutors said that factors including questioning of witnesses and their own observations at the scene led them to conclude that Schaefer killed himself.

State governor Volker Bouffier linked Schaefer’s death to the virus crisis on Sunday.

Bouffier said Schaefer was worried about “whether it would be possible to succeed in fulfilling the population’s huge expectations, particularly of financial help.”

“I have to assume that these worries overwhelmed him,” Bouffier said. “He apparently couldn’t find a way out. He was in despair and left us.”

Germany's federal and state governments have drawn up huge aid packages to cushion the blow of largely shutting down public life to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Schaefer had been Hesse’s state finance minister for a decade.

I need some sort of browser plugin for Drain Todger's posts so they show in a different colour background. Especially with the avatars missing I'm just blind-reading posts in this thread and I keep getting a third of the way through one before having to scroll back up and see - yes, it's one of Todger's.
Drain Todger is a legend. He's the kiwi extraordinaire. If you can't recognize his posts by intuition alone you haven't been on this website for long enough. Long live king Todger, and long may he reign.

No but seriously, Drain, take a chill pill mate. It's gonna be OK.

Shocking moment huge line of police officers disperse 40 party-goers from one-year-old girl's birthday in LA after citywide shutdown amid coronavirus

Lets not go to L.A., tis a silly place. Why, why, why are the cop not wearing any PPE? Why, why, why are you having a flippen birthday party for a 1 year old at this time. They are not going to remember it anyways.

Coronavirus could be airborne, study suggests

Well I guess the "stay in the air for 30 minutes" thing might be real.

Fairbanks emerges as hot spot for coronavirus in Alaska

State officials have linked 15 COVID-19 cases in Fairbanks to two medical practices, one where providers say they aggressively tested patients and staff after a patient was confirmed to have the virus.
Meanwhile, health officials are investigating a separate outbreak involving at least six cases at a care facility in the Interior city.

New restrictions in Poland include:
  • Two meters distance between people in public spaces. Might be hard to enforce, but it's rather broad, applies even to married people and other couples.
  • Parks etc. largely closed, bike renting banned. Should have been done a long while ago, big city cyclists and picnickers are nothing bug plague carriers.
  • Shopping limitations: max three people per cash register inside, a three hour window where shops and apothercaries will only let people aged 65+ in. Certain types of shops and service points closed or limited.
  • Hotels closed, possibly converted into quarantine spots in the future.
  • More extensive quarantine, higher penalties for breaking it, a controlling (tracking?) app for the quarantined.
  • Minors not allowed outside without adult supervision.
So no curfew. Officials speak in very cautionary and somewhat pessimistic terms, but that's understandable, you need to make sure people take things seriously. Regarding future prospects, I see two forecasts making circles lately. One predicts a peak of 9000 known, confirmed cases active at the same time and a major dropoff afterwards. The other one calls for hundreds dying every day. The former is authored by a data and trend analysis company, the latter by some anaesthosiologist (whom the media insist on calling a "specialist").

Haha WHO you fucking spastic little bitch.
WHO along with the politicians of Wuhan takes a large chunk of blame when it comes to the spread of the virus. That's why they are licking China's butt, they sucked as much as Wuhan did.

Believing in mainstream narratives without any question should be classified as a mental disorder, or according to the ADL, it's a symptom of Nazism.

Sounds like the UK's playbook, you steadily introduce things so its not instantly draconian and people "forget" or just tell the govt to fuck itself and carry on (as they did until recently in the UK's top 5 hotspots).

1 encephakopathia, hepatopathia, hypothireosis and narrowed arteries. Not sure what these pathias are.
1 polyneuropathia, tuberculosis plus beetus and she was 86. No surprise here.
1 asthma, stroke, pacemaker
1 copd, whatever that is.
Encephalopathy= brain disease of some type hepto= liver disease and hypothyroid
COPD is chronic obstructive pulmonary disease which is nasty and will kill you or greatly contribute to your demise eventually. All significant comorbidities

Coronavirus is mutating and now has eight strains: doctors

Did someone post this and I missed it. I didnt have enough coffee yesterday. At least none are worse than the main branch.

Moscow will enact a citywide quarantine starting Monday, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said as the city's number of coronavirus cases surpassed 1,000 over the weekend.

Moscow going down.

Coronavirus In The St. Louis Region

Other notes from Parson’s daily briefing: He is considering closing state parks because of overcrowding. Warm weather over the weekend sent people flocking to nature to escape home confines. But having so many people in parks clogged parking lots and trails, making mandated social distancing difficult.

Oh shit I just got told "beer is for faggots." I bet you are in NY right now, buying the $10 day pass for the subway, packing on the commuter, risking it all with millions of other NYers just to take the trip to Manhattan and keep that job and god knows I hope you don't get coronavirus and die like the millions there dying while the planes are running full schedules and passenger loads. I must be onto conspiracies. Like the conspiracy idea you don't live there but live in your moms basement in New Zealand and she won't buy you a beer "for faggots" because she is pissed you don't do shit but spend your time on this site re-neg rating people for pointing out how fucking exceptional you sound.

My bad nigga. Its 7 Am and maybe you are headed to the airport for a long flight out to Tokyo after a quick stop at the office job of your dreams in Midtown and your company is flying you long ways to Tokyo on a business flight and you clearly don't have coronavirus to do us all a favor and exit the planet but are motivated and hard working probably pushing medical supplies to much needed Tokyo patients who are so close to China and that is why you are up at this time and not eating dinner in your moms basement are regular dinner time in New Zealand. Your efforts are changing the world and fellow NYers and hipsters love you and your fag half ass rip off of an Australian accent type New Zealand accent which you don't have because you are not from somewhere so gay and are actually there in the boroughs on the front lines of pandemic pandemonium. You will probably live down the block from the hospital with the all the dead bodies being pulled out in freezer trucks by the hour from the overcrowded hospital and care so much and have a good explanation how passenger flights are taking off from JFK hourly and airport life resumes as usual and yet a few miles away the infection has spread through East Queens by the millions.

I didn't mean to actually glance at your dumb shit.... I mean... Err.... Not get the facts right. Good luck on your flight and your hard fight against this pandemic ripping through your old 20s style block to block neighborhood. Yours is a life truly worth it!

this is exactly why when the idea of stockpiling cocaine came up we decided to leave it.

Ok this is entering the conspiracy territory, but this is apparently the former Ceo of Vodafone ( ,Checked his voice on multiple videos and interviews he's done, it's very, very close to Nicholas Jonathan Read voice. )

speaking out about the coronavirus and 5G

For a comparison with France then :

Really?

*Looks up population density map of France*

You are 5Gtarded.jpg

Oh, so both WuFlu and 5G towers are located in French population centers?
That's it. It's proven fact.

The news cycle with Trump has been exceptional during this crisis. This has been the pattern:

Trump: *says anything*

Media: "Orange Man Bad! He's going to kill everyone!"

*info comes out that proves Trump right*

Media: *crickets*, *waits for the next thing to REEE about*

Rinse and fucking repeat.
Speaking of: https://www.foxnews.com/media/don-l...ve-hes-never-ever-going-to-tell-you-the-truth
This is probably what fox news is citing: https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics...ump-news-coverage-coronavirus-cpt-sot-vpx.cnn (firefox apparently can't download the mp3 file for it, wat do)

The infamous lemon-tard again shows he doesn't pay attention to the things he's bitching about. All Trump's press conferences has his experts expressing THEIR opinion and then Trump agreeing with them, not the other way around.

If anything, the only retarded thing he's disagreeing with is the "stay-at-home" quarantine length, which is a very very complex issue.

What a coincidence or... is it? :story:

Meanwhile, Twitter and Facebook censored some posts then Brazilian president Bolsonaro did about Corona-chan.

Facebook and Twitter have taken action on a video from Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro, removing it for infringing on their misinformation policies.
The video, as reported by BBC News Brasil, showed Bolsonaro talking to a street vendor and endorsing an anti-viral drug called hydroxychloroquine as a COVID-19 treatment.
"This medicine here, hydroxychloroquine, is working in every place," Bolsonaro claimed, incorrectly.
The Brazilian president has consistently downplayed the threat of the coronavirus, telling the nation it is "just a little flu or the sniffles," and consistently going out in public.
Bolsonaro's communications aide tested positive for the coronavirus earlier in March, and the president has claimed he tested negative for the virus despite their proximity.
