Ok, I'm probably not the first person here to ask this, but what ARE trans rights? Are they freedom of speech? To not quarter soldiers? To freely drop a deuce in a cat's litter box? I have yet to come across any post explaining what they are and why they're so important that we need cartoon characters to act as mouth pieces for them?

I thought trans rights were the right to feel morally superior and in control of language's constantly shifting definitions which would benefit them as a trans person. The right to impose their internal whims on you with govt support. All while hating those who help them.

I love how this was a response to an obvious troll post. The most offensive thng aboiut this game is how hard they're trying to generate controversy. It's pathetic.
(If you don't know who the character is, it's Arashi Narukami, a Japanese idol from a Japanese idol game)
ValiDate is giving me Two Scoops and The Office Type vibes. I can't wait for them to start a IndieGoGo, take everyone's money, and never release the game. Or maybe it will get cancelled because Twitter found out that one the staff members used the n-word in fourth grade.

Yes. The Office Type was also trying to rip off Hunie Pop with the match-3 shit. I remember the shitshow that resulted on tumblr.

So, Tumblr was shitting themselves at first because The Office Type was supposed to be a dating sim with 'muh LGBT and diversity!!!', with the characters being personified office supplies, IE toner cartridge, Notebook, etc. However, someone dug into the game and found that the wooing was basically Huniepop to a T. Same Mechanics, just different graphics.
Also something about racism and transphobia, I guess. If you want to read about that, I archived some callout post.

Last I heard, the game was never developed and the team ran off with money, I think.
Tumblr will claim anything that they don’t like is “racist” and “transphobic”. The project’s still bad regardless of that though.

That's true, but I thought any bit of info about this shitty game would help. The project was awful though, yes. If I remember correctly, the team put out the demo and that was it. Same team made Dream Daddy, which Tumblr also creamed itself over.
EDIT: Apparently, they're going to try and release it again this autumn. I wonder how many people they'll con this time.

Different team but the character sprites were drawn from the Dream Daddy artist.
The game dev deserved to be mocked for it though, he thought he was woke because the only black characters in his name were three niggas name Tyrone. It was bad character writing and it killed off the hype for the game
He later changed it. No one cared because the game is a Hunie Pop clone and the characters are still poorly written (not just the black ones).
Every set of office supplies are a literal clone of one another and the designs don't differ much. The calculators are nerdy Indians, the toner cartridges are lazy latinos, the staplers are affluent arabs...the writing isn't self-aware enough to be funny so it comes off as patronizing at best and ignorant at worst. The lesson here is to never appeal to Tumblr. They won't even play your game anyway. They're kids without jobs and they have to settle with Let's Plays videos.
