I hear it gets better before it suddenly gets way worse, I think you should worry about it some more.Symptoms have completely subsided. I think it was a false alarm. I was really hoping I just had a mild case, but it seems it was likely the other bug that was going around, or possibly just stress related.

I've experienced pretty much every symptom but a fever for the past two weeks, but not all at once. Runny nose and sore throat are gone. The cough has gotten less bad but it still persists. I have a heinous case of the chills, my joints feel like someone's take a hammer to them and when the headaches come all I can do is lie down for about six hours. My digestive system periodically decides to produce painful gas and awful megafarts but no diarrhea. Never had the chest pain people report either.
My brother, mother, and I all live in the same house and they have it worse than me. Brother and mother report chest pain which is the only difference in symptoms to me besides severity. still no fevers on top of it. Brother is blowing at 350 and 450cc's lung capacity and I'm between 450-525 but blood oxygenation isn't worrying. It's nifty to already have a pulse oximeter and a lung capacity testing device. We should probably look at our blood pressures today too.
My brother and I now need doctors notes saying we're fine to go back to work. When our illness finally goes away that would be easy enough, except the medical system is a great place to recieve Nurgle's greater blessings.
Is it corona-chan? Fuck if I know. Not like I can get tested in the US with these symptoms. They focus on the fever and respiratory symptoms, probably to keep the numbers down and reduce panic. Who knows? Maybe other weird nasty shit escaped the biolabs in Wuhan before Corona-chan and gave us the "fuck my life, end me" flu.
I was in Japan from Jan 10th to the 24th, I had a wretched flu while I was over there. I don't think it was coronachan though due to still being able to function properly and it was winter so probably just a strong cold. We did spend some time in Nara though and I know that's where a bunch of Chinese tourists spread it, the crowds were pretty large there and packed the streets.
The scary thing was on the flight back home, when we arrived at the airport the pilot came over the PA and told us we weren't allowed to disembark due to some security precaution. A bunch of security guards and medics grabbed some chink and dragged him off the plane with his wife following him, when I say dragged I don't mean because he was resisting but rather because it looked like he could hardly move. This was before any of the travel bans came into effect, so I'm guessing he was a carrier since one of the attendants told us his wife had complained of him coming down with fever.
I get this when I go to work too, I do believe it's just hypochondria though (although I just assume it's only a matter of time before I get it at work). When I start to feel really anxious my temperature even goes up a little, but as soon as I go home and decon and take a shower I feel fine.
Not a good time for people who have even mild hypochondria.
One of my coworkers tested positive. Not someone I have ever really worked with but still. She's recovering ok last I heard, however her father who has it is not doing well and is in serious condition at the hospital.
Hope all the sick kiwis are on the mend soon!
Australia did some studying, obviously only Australian cases, and because we don't have a huge number of cases, the study was done using only 900 cases.
It appears that the fever is not what guarantees we have it, majority, 69% have the cough, something like only 50% get the fever.
Thought people might like to know - I've added a screenshot of the media published data. Will see if I can get a hold of the study.
This makes sense because if you assume the milder cases only get a medium to bad cough, they'd be far more likely to chalk it up to just being your standard cold with limited other symptoms. Much more likely to go out and carry on with their day- infecting everyone and everything they come in contact with because a lot of people will just cover a cough with their hand.
Bro, you good?Of course. These people are not politically sensitive to the situation and should be severely punished. Should a person who thinks they have a mild sore throat not be admitted to the ICU for 2 months for an intense look over and of course making other much more critical patients wait in line?
Holy crap these are the types that just don't understand they are the lucky few. They just get kind of tired and maybe runny nose and some tea makes them feel better but they clearly wipe their hand on everything and probably do food prep in the back of Olive Garden and all these old folks that just want chicken parm take out get deadly sick and 3 days later die.
This disease after all is like the Peter Pan of diseases. If you are 20 and catch this shit its like you take a throat lozenge then the next day badda bing badda boom back to normal, but if you are one day over the age of 50 you catch it then the next day you are drowning on your own mucus and cannot possibly fight the virus. Its like Tinkerbell herself fucking flew in some old ass Bernie Sanders looking guys lungs and released the swine flu. Man Julia Roberts is a bitch.
Sorry this has nothing to do with Julia Roberts. I am just saying I think people need to more politically sensitive to this situation. Think of others. Not just yourself. If you get a rash then immediately drive over to the ICU and ask to be quarantined for 2 months straight. If some guy comes in that just flew off a 30 foot bridge and the bike is literally halfway up his and his internal organs are failing and he needs immediate surgery then to be immediately placed in the ICU fuck him, he can wait in line. Your case is much more important.
Not a bit of sarcasm have I used. In one sentence in this thread. Being politically correct is the most important thing in the universe.

I don't think so, I think the flu is getting to his headBro, you good?
That's an interesting graph. Disagrees with what was posted in "The Sun" a few weeks ago. So who are we too believe...Australia did some studying, obviously only Australian cases, and because we don't have a huge number of cases, the study was done using only 900 cases.

It's generic brand zinc gluconicum from Walmart. I've come to realize I'm a bit of a hypochondriac even during non-pandemic circumstances so there's probably some placebo going on too. That and lots of water. What Zinc supplements are you taking? Your symptoms sound like mine but I also have occasional shortness of breath which got really bad back at the start of February and since seems to have calmed down.
The fact that you can feel fine and still be Typhoid Mary is pretty frightening. Idiots who don't take this seriously could kill someone.
