Her name is Abby, her dad is the doctor Joel killed who tried to sacrifice Ellie for the cure. Her story is better than Ellie's, she's the actual protagonist.

There's the countless bandits, cannibals, an omnicidal military remnant, and scientists who are trying to put Ellie through a surgery that has a 100% kill rate. As much as ND pumped up Joel being on the darker side of gray morally, they did a piss poor job of showing it.

Dunno what's unpopular about that -- the multiplayer was pretty fun. I mean the shooting mechanics still sucked ass but it was enjoyable...at least until they put the pay-to-win DLC weapons in the game.

So the PS5 is definitely not making a late october/early november launch. They've supposedly decided since the virus already upset their production they're going to push it back and fix technical issues that have arisen from the developers.

The main thing was PS5 needs a huge ass fan to cool it and what they had in it was not really enough for long term use. I'm fulling expecting TLOU 2 to be a cross platform launch game now. The PS4 is still going strong if they push the PS5 back to march of 2021 and have it come with a big name game that would probably make up for the Christmas sales.

Not really, the fireflys are worse as they would have gained nearly nothing from a cure. Besides the sheer logistics of mass creating antidotes, it would have only been helpful for people who accidently inhaled pollen as the antidote wouldn't help for your throat ripped off by a zombie. Humanity is already recovering, they are actively hampering the effort. Meanwhile the army just doesn't want people smuggling things between areas and trying to conserve resources.

As for the leak, I can see it happening as a "shock" intro for Youtubers to promote and trying to argue for "subjective morality" despite being a cuntish move that doesn't help anyone. The question is whether the game will try to justify it or not. I'll place my bet on surprise evil white guy in the end of the game (or the revelation that a white guy caused the zombies in the first place).

It seems a bit extreme because many games have been delayed before and they didn't require refunds for digital only(no discs need to be produced), it's supposedly got something due to the leak that occurred and the negative response the leaked builds may have gotten. The game's release date has now been moved to TBD.

Either way this is one very expensive fuck up. At least there's someone out there who apparently cares about games not becoming movies.

Let's be real here, unless it is outright unplayable or the devs went way over-budget it will manage to return the investment. People love their shitty overtold dramas and the 3rd person action-adventure style is solid enough to always entertain. It has more cinematic scenes than a Kojima game apparently.

I dunno if the devs will start attacking the fans but it's getting to be very similar to what happened with Bioware's last two mass Effect releases. Uncharted: Lady Edition and Uncharted 4 both seemed rather lacking and got a real lukewarm response. Sony is banking heavily on third person action games being their bread and butter just like Nintendo banked on Platformers.

I'm predicting a possible September release now (2-3 months marketing/disc printing time after things return to normal in June). Which if PS5 is still coming in November makes for a tempting possibility of just making it a cross buy PS5 launch title. It honestly would be smart move by Sony.
