Chances are, they don't wear them correctly, cause it makes it too hard to breathe, so they set the masks up like that, to make it easier, blissfully unaware that being able to breathe more easily in any type of respirator or filter mask also means that the seal is broken.

It can mutate in animals and go back to humans but to be like flu is, you need a really significant animal host where the virus circulates independently. In flu, viruses circulate in hogs and waterfowl, and can reassort and jump and do all sorts of stuff. But the virus is circulating in the animals anyway. So it’s possible that cats can be a source of new mutations, just like it’s possible that any other member of the household can, but not very likely to be a major driver. It’s most likely that cats can be affected and it’s repeated spillover from humans, rather than cats having this independently and infecting humans. But we do at some point need to see if cats can host and transmit, or host long term. That would be bad. We did see a lot of reports of pet cats being killed in China at the start.

My second question then is how did they test them?

I know testing has been changed some since the beginning but I haven't kept up as much as obsessing over news was starting to make me feel unwell. Are we at the point that quick bloodtest is now possible? Is that even an acceptable method?

If we're still doing the long cottonball on a stick ain't no way a tiger sat still for that and I was under the impression that big cats were sedated as little as possible. You got a fuckton of scientists measuring continental drift and other causes of earthquakes on top of checking density for possible prospections all the time, underground facilities are really easy to detect and map. Hundreds of doctors and nurses worldwide are coming down with COVID-19, and some of them are dying of it.

There are people right now who are trying to claim that the virus isn’t real and this whole thing is one big coverup. I think that’s absolutely insane.

There have been multiple independent confirmations of SARS-CoV-2’s gene sequence, and over a hundred countries have people getting sick with this thing and blatantly showing symptoms, and yet, there are those who dare call it a hoax, while people are dying.

I will continue to advocate for healthcare workers receiving better PPE to fight this terrible disease. I am sick and tired of this. It’s like nobody cares about our doctors and nurses. It makes me sick!

Issue with that is PPE needs manufacturing. We're ramping up our manufactures at incredible pace but it's not that easy. Respiratory diseases gone pandemic need a LOT of PPE.
