I haven't watched much DSP stuff until I checked out today's stream out of morbid curiosity, and if I was just a casual viewer I'd be really turned off by the disdain that Phil has for any viewer question. "Would you play X?" "No, that'd be a waste of time, huh huh."

It's not just a deflection, it's a "fuck you for asking, dummy", and I don't know why anyone would want to stick around for that.

That's Pigroach rhetoric 101, deflect deny subvert and insult. You call him out and back it up with proof and facts and he'll just say "uh *lip smack* NO, you're an idiot thinking that and a fucking liar for repeating it".

I've been bigly into racing games lately, and thought to myself that in my casual DSP TIHYDP watching I haven't seen him playing a racing game, so I looked up him playing Driver: San Francisco. The video's format of "good idea / bad idea" tricked me into thinking the good idea part was Phil - so what, he's driving maybe way too carefully, but this looks like a really casual highway drive with no tough corners so yea he probably could be this goo- ohh, that was somebody else playing it. Phil's part starts, the moron keeps full on gas on corners and keeps insulting the game for fishtailing all the time, keeps going straight into other cars while insulting the game for putting the cars in his way, but I lost it when he once finally got in sight of the finish line, while being first, triumphantly said something like "finally, first place!", changed into the incoming lane and boosted right into an oncoming car, and lost the race.
4 minutes for the other guy to casually drive through this scenic barely-a-race, then 30 minutes of Phil's attempts at this :story:

May god protect all the other drivers driving between the gout hovel and the nearest tendie store.

This is great! I just realized I've never really explored his racing TIHYDPs even though his driving is some of the saltiest shit out there. I think I was satiated by the racing missions in his GTA playthroughs.

I know it's the pigroach M.O. to just never take any accountability for failures, but he's also definitely blind as a bat.

All the "STAHP FISHTAILING" is so funny, all he has to do is ease up on the acceleration and it straightens up. Puzzle racing mechanics dood!

Despite his max cheese build, Phil is still having a tough time with this Naotaka boss, crying about how "How can he out tank me when I'm in my tank mode?".

That's always been DSP's problem: he doesn't want to actually learn any game mechanics. He just wants to create a "tank build", run up to bosses, and press X until dead. Any sort of timing or counter-attacking goes out the window.

Which is doubly awesome because he "tanks" while at the same time remaining 100 feet away from the boss at all times, so even when the boss does a big looping move that says "insert counterattack here", DSP actually can't run in fast enough to counter and then complains that everything is unblockable.

Uh oh, checked in again and he's now talking about how he's been watching other Youtubers (insert your favorite "busy busy busy" line here), and he just doesn't understand how they get tens of thousands of views when they're basically just like him. What did he do differently?

Fortunately, Phil answered his question and knew that it was only because it was a meme to hate on him. That's the only reason why he's not successful on Youtube.
Well for starters, they probably don't have an oddly shaped head, they probably don't snort and make guttural noises into the microphone, and they also probably don't guilt trip viewers to donate money by telling stories of financial hardship.

I was watching someone else streaming RE3 last night when they got a £50 donation. They stopped playing right away, profusely thanked the donator and asked which games they wanted the money used towards. Yeah, it's a real mystery why people don't like Phil.

But his pay pigs are drained from giving him $1200 on Monday.
How dare they being drained? This was his birthday money (which is rightfully his btw) that they were supposed to save up for during the rest of the year (unless there is an emergency of course). Seems like Mr. business degree has to teach his wheelchairs a lesson or two in economics and savings.

He has issues because he basically has a schedule he needs to keep during boss fights.

For example, after he dodged the grab, he proceeded to rebuff instead of taking advantage of the boss and its weak spot being exposed for 5 seconds. Instead of hitting it in high stance with a combo and then rebuffing after the boss misses the following strike.

Phil's autistic schedule permeates his gameplay.

phil really trynna turbo through this shit, every ten fucking minutes in a mission "i think i can fight the boss now" "i think the boss is over here" "i must be near the boss now"

My favorite part is Phil starting Nioh 2 up again and has this Fakesyde Positive Phil going on. He dies to the boss the first time "Ah that was totally my fault there."

Slightly rattled and ready to hop back in. Dies and still tries to keep it up the attitude but slightly tilted.

Watching him doing the same heavy stance string on a weapon that has the switch mechanic somewhat like Bloodborne, while trying his most to cheese the boss with slowmo and buffs himself mid battle ever chance he gets.

Dies again and now he goes on full on bitch mode.

Apparently he loves to mash that same combo over and over despite not managing his stamina so he gets full on drained. The boss goes in for a command grab to punish this and Phil here bitches how the boss used it because he knows he was staggered. Like, no shit dude he's a boss not a training dummy.
