  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
So the SCP Wiki is actually doing something fun today for April Fools. Archives for posterity:

If you want to see everything before it gets rolled back after today, here's the list of changes:
Nice to see they put in the effort to be funny, even though we all know they're overrun with unfunny self-righteous troons doing shady shit behind staff privileges.

Nah, SCP staff have more trans fetishists/chasers who LARP as pansexuals than they do actual trans people at this point. See: Dr. Bright creeping on androgynous nonbinary people who were born female to fulfill his butch lesbian fetish. And he’s far from the only one.

So in-case none of you know, there is a rule in the personnel dossier where that if you want to add a character, they have to appear in at least 3 SCPs and/or Tales, no biggie right? Wrong, let me illustrate you why this is a Catch-22 unless you can spend the time trying to write SCPs and Tales. Let me explain.

In the Discussion tab, I posted this:

I would like to know if there is possibility for a Character Pickup section, as in, say if you have the concept for a character but can't spend the time needed to create tales or SCPs with them as a prominent force, if we had this section, with permission characters could be put in it for anyone to pick up and put into their works.

Kind of works like the whole thing being trying to divert attention towards idea threads. This could also work to help accelerate establishing a strong feel for the Personnel Dossier.

Their reply?

I would say no. If you want your character on the mainsite, you should take the time and effort to write them up yourself, rather than just dumping the idea somewhere and expect someone else to do the legwork. We want to encourage authors to do their own writing. (Also, we don't want existing authors to get pestered with "can you write my character up please??‽‽" requests.)

Bruh, so what happens, if we have an idea for a character that would actually be a really good idea (Admittedly, this does come from the fact that I myself have a character in mind), but, like I said, can't find the time to write them? Even if it would make sense for a character of that profession to be stationed at that Site?

By that logic, ideas would be stagnated and couldn't continue forward, if we aren't allowed to ask people to include the characters, and we can't find the time to write the characters ourselves, nothing gets done.

I feel like this was intentionally put in place so the self-inserters at the top of the hierarchy could stay as Kings of the Hill and have their OCs reign supreme.
You've read this thread, right? No shit it's so the mods can stay King Shit of Fuck Mountain; the forum's degenerated miserably.

So anyways, I am rewriting an SCP which was recently deleted because it was essentially a Deviantart werewolf OC right down to having various disorders tacked on to them, here is the original script

Containment Procedures: SCP-5827 is to be contained in a 15m x 15m x 9m containment at Site-██. A twin bed and a small bathroom is to be provided in SCP-5827’s containment. When doing interviews with SCP-5827, the interviewer must be behind a wall of reinforced glass so the subject doesn’t hurt him or her. SCP-5827 is to be fed only raw chicken food from the diet plan that Doctor Francis has created and is to only drink water and tard cum.

Description: SCP-5827 is a twenty-three year old caucasion male, 190.754 cm (6’3) tall and 82 kg (180 lbs) with brunette hair and emerald green eyes of Eastern European descent. SCP-5827 appears to have multiple scars on his body. Subject has black wolf-like ears and a black wolf-like tail. Subject is able to make these appear and disappear, giving him a regular human form, which SCP-5827 has confirmed is his original form. Has a brand on his right shoulder in the shape of a wolf's head. Subject is also able to transform into a 15 ft (457.2 cm) black wolf entity with dark reddish eyes.

Addendum 5827-01: SCP-5827’s eyes usually are a dark reddish color, but it seems when he is around someone he either cares about or doesn’t want to hurt, they turn back to green.

Addendum 5827-02: After an extensive psychiatric evaluation of SCP-5827 conducted by Dr. █████, the subject appears to have autism, depression, anxiety, dyslexia, ADHD, and PTSD.

Addendum 5827-03: SCP-5827 seems to have empathy and sympathy toward SCP-239. When SCP-5827 hears any threats toward SCP-239 or sees her in danger, the subject will become enraged and will attack the threat.

Addendum 5827-04: To date, SCP-5827 has requested:

  • One phone call (denied).
  • Healthy food such as vegetables, fruit, and cooked meat. (granted).
  • Sleeping medication (granted).
  • Anxiety medication (granted).
  • A therapist (denied: Due to risks of the subject hurting the therapist.)
  • Training sessions with SCP-239 (granted: SCP-5827 is to be allowed 2 hours of training with SCP-239 twice a week, with a lunch break in between hours).
  • Depression medication (granted).
  • A guitar (granted).

Addendum 5827-05: SCP-5827 seems to be immune to SCP-053. When experimenting with the two, SCP-5827 was in there for 20 minutes and showed no signs of being affected by SCP-053. When he was asked if he felt strange in any way, SCP-5827 only said that he felt nauseous during the first 6 minutes, but then felt better afterwards.

Addendum 5827-06: Before he got his memory erased, SCP-5827 didn’t like it when someone asked about his scars. See the follow up interview.

Addendum 5827-07:
Due to SCP-5827’s wolf-like ears and his strong sense of smell, he is able to smell and hear things from a 30 mile radius.

Addendum 5827-08: When SCP-5827 gets really angry and enters rage mode, his sclera glows red along with his pupils.

Addendum 5827-09: SCP-5827 is to be given 2 hours of combat training by MTF Alpha-9 ("Last Hope"), if the subject is hurt from either combat training or on the field, he is to go to the infirmary if it’s serious.

Addendum 5827-10: SCP-5827 speaks 4 languages, English, French, and Spanish.

Addendum 5827-11: SCP-5827 is to work out 3 times a week under the supervision of Dr. Francis.

Addendum 5827-12: SCP-5827 is able to punch through material such as, titanium, bone, tungsten, concrete, iron, and even dented SCP-148.

Addendum 5827-13: SCP-5827 can be calmed by the sound of guitars playing, and can also be calmed by the smell of lavender, vanilla, cinnamon, pine, valerian, roses, jasmine, citrus, baby powder, peppermint, pumpkins, apples, rosemary, lemon, and fresh-cut grass.

Addendum 5827-14: During field missions, SCP-5827’s signal is always his howl, which can be heard from 12 km (7.45645431 miles) away. It’s actually not a bad signal when the mission is in a forest because the Serpents Hand or Chaos Insurgency soldiers just think it’s a regular wolf, until it’s time to attack.

Addendum 5827-15: SCP-5827 has a very bad reaction to touch due to all of his trauma.

Addendum 5827-16: SCP-5827 has said that his name is William ████████, but after further research, the foundation discovered that William ████████ was supposedly murdered at ██████████ High School in ████ by Brian ██████ who was arrested two days later.

Addendum 5827-17: SCP-5827 is allergic to chocolate. Yep.

Origin: SCP-5827 came to the foundations attention on April 25, ████ when Lieutenant █████ ████████ reported a wolf like entity at a campsite in █████████ ███████████ ███████████ in ███████, New Hampshire attacking civilians. However when MTF Delta-5 came to where the lieutenant said the creature was, they didn’t find any bodies or wounded civilians. When asked why there weren’t any wounded civilians or corpses, █████ said there were bodies and wounded and someone must have called the paramedics before MTF Delta-5 arrived.

Interviewed: SCP-5827

Interviewer: Dr. Francis

<Begin Log>

Dr. Francis enters the glass area and taps on the glass, SCP-5827 wakes up, and starts to panic

SCP-5827: LEAVE ME ALONE!

Dr. Francis: I am sorry for waking you SCP-5827, I’m Dr. Francis, I’m here to interview you.

SCP-5827: Oh, right, sorry doctor. Just a little on edge from today’s experiments.

Dr. Francis: It’s alright, are you ready to answer some questions?

SCP-5827 stays silent

Dr. Francis: I’ll take that as a yes.

SCP-5827: Fine.

Dr. Francis: Do you have any hatred towards any of the staff here?

SCP-5827: Not really, you guys are just doing your jobs, but there is something about that Dr. Clef that I do find suspicious. I didn’t like the way he looked at Sigurrós during the first time we met.

Dr. Francis: Alright I’ll talk to him later, can you tell us why you were at that campsite we found you in New Hampshire?

SCP-5827: I was trying to celebrate my twenty-third birthday with my twin brother, ██████.

Dr. Francis: Can you describe your brother?

SCP-5827: He looks like me, except he has slightly darker hair than mine and instead of green eyes, he has bright blue eyes. Also he has a scar across his left eye, not sure where he got from though.

Dr. Francis: Is he like you?

SCP-5827: Not really, he’s very strong and surprisingly fast.

Dr. Francis: Okay, excuse me for a moment.

Dr. Francis leaves the room to talk to some other scientists, then returns and sits back down

SCP-5827: May I ask what that was about?

Dr. Francis: All I can tell you is that we might need a blood sample from you later.

SCP-5827: Okay.

Dr. Francis: Alright, so tell me this, why weren't there any bodies or wounded civilians when Alpha Strike came to pick you up?

Subject seems to be confused

SCP-5827: What do you mean?

Dr. Francis: The lieutenant that reported you said that there were wounded and possibly dead civilians.

SCP-5827: I don’t know what you’re talking about, I didn’t kill or hurt anyone.

Dr. Francis: Then why were you in wolf form when we picked you up?

SCP-5827: Because I was trying to protect myself! I was planning to make a run for it, but you tranquilized me and then brought me here.

Dr. Francis: I’ll talk to the lieutenant about this. You sure you didn’t kill or hurt anyone?

SCP-5827: I swear to God I didn’t.

Dr. Francis: Why don’t we wrap it up?

SCP-5827: Agreed.

Follow Up Interview

<Begin Log>

Dr. Francis:
How are you feeling?

SCP-5827: Not the best!

Dr. Francis: Experiments went bad?

SCP-5827: Yes, you all tortured me! That’s why I hate it here!

SCP-5827 seems to be crying

Dr. Francis: SCP-5827 I’m going to need you to calm down if we are to do this interview.

SCP-5827 calms down after five minutes

SCP-5827: Okay, I’m good now.

Dr. Francis: Alright, what is your name?

SCP-5827: William ████████.

Dr. Francis: Okay, when you transform into the wolf, does it hurt?

SCP-5827: Yes.

Dr. Francis: Are you in any way related to SCP-953?

SCP-5827: Who?

Dr. Francis: SCP-953, fox lady, has nine tails?

SCP-5827: Never heard of her.

Dr. Francis: Okay, are you immortal?

SCP-5827: Not that I'm aware.

Dr. Francis: When did you realize that you had this “condition?”

SCP-5827: When I was 4 years old. I accidentally broke my brother's toy by blasting it.

Dr. Francis: Where are you from?

SCP-5827: Originally?

Dr. Francis: Yes.

SCP-5827: Okay, I’m from ██████, New York, I used to live in the suburbs with my family until I was 18 years old.

Dr. Francis: Okay, why did you request a guitar?

SCP-5827: The sound of the strings strumming soothes me, it reminds me of the times when things were better before all of this happened to me.

Dr. Francis: You play?

SCP-5827: Yes I do.

Dr. Francis: Interesting. How exactly did you get all those scars?

SCP-5827 starts tearing up again

Dr. Francis: SCP-5827?

SCP-5827: I don’t want to talk about it.

Dr. Francis: Why?

SCP-5827 slams his fists on the table

SCP-5827: Look some things are better left unsaid, so let’s leave it at that!

Dr. Francis: Okay, okay, maybe some other time. Can you tell us about that brand on your shoulder?

SCP-5827: I guess. It was branded on me when I was about 14 or 15 by my brother.

Dr. Francis: Why would your brother do that?

SCP-5827: Oh, I don’t know. We were so young and he was always hanging out with his friends. They always played tricks on me. This one time at our 12th birthday, he and his friends scared me with this illusion tech and made me see monsters before my eyes.

Dr. Francis: And how did your brother acquire such tech?

SCP-5827: I actually don’t know. He never told me. The illusion looked so real though.

Dr. Francis: We’ll try to look into this. Did he ever apologize for what happened?

SCP-5827: No, but I’m sure he was going to and just, slipped his mind.

Dr. Francis: So a couple of days after you arrived here you asked for a phone call, who did you want to contact and why?

SCP-5827 looks up and glares at Doctor Francis

SCP-5827: That’s none of your business.

Dr. Francis: Actually it is, now answer the question.

SCP-5827 growls aggressively

Dr. Francis: Please answer the question.

SCP-5827: I was going to call my friend, █████ okay?

Dr. Francis: What for?

SCP-5827: To let her know that I’m okay and I won’t be coming back for a while.

Dr. Francis: So this █████, is she someone special to you?

SCP-5827: Yes. She’s my first and only friend. I miss her so much and I just want to talk to her.

Dr. Francis: Does she know about your, situation?

SCP-5827: Yes, but she accepts it and it doesn’t bother her.

Dr. Francis: Okay, we’ll have to look more into this, if she causes any distractions when you are doing field work for us.

SCP-5827: What? NO! YOU BETTER NOT LAY A HAND ON HER! SHE’S DONE NOTHING WRONG!

SCP-5827 growls more aggressively at Dr. Francis and his sclera starts to glow

Dr. Francis: Okay, please calm down!

SCP-5827: Just please, don't hurt her.
Dr. Francis: We won't, we'll just erase her memory, does that work?
SCP-5827: I guess.
Dr. Francis: Okay.

Dr. Francis looks at the other scientist

Dr. Francis: Make sure we wipe his memory after this interview.

Dr. Sherman: Right sir.

Dr. Francis: Alright, why do you care so much about SCP-239?

SCP-5827 takes a few deep breaths before responding

SCP-5827: She… reminds me of myself.

Dr. Francis: Why?

SCP-5827: She is seen as a monster like me. She also never got to grow up with a father, like me and-

Dr. Francis: You didn't grow up with a father?

SCP-5827: No I didn't. That little girl and I are more alike than you think.

Dr. Francis: I'm sorry. But at least she grew up here where it’s safe.

SCP-5827: No, no, that is not how a child should grow! A child should have a family, friends, and people to love and care about you! Not be locked up in here since birth, get experimented on, and be seen as some monster!

SCP-5827's sclera start to glow red

Dr. Francis: Calm down, calm down. We raised her in here to protect her.

SCP-5827: You should be protecting her from you guys!

Dr. Francis: 5827 we are moving on from this! SCP-239 is fine, she's 100% perfectly safe here.

SCP-5827: NO ONE IS SAFE HERE! Ask all the Class-Ds and SCPs that are dead now! Oh wait that's right, you can't!

Dr. Francis: Okay, calm yourself. We will think about what you have said today and maybe consider you being SCP-239's teacher.

SCP-5827 seems to be surprised

SCP-5827: Really?

Dr. Francis: Yes really. She wants to see you again.

SCP-5827: Okay, sorry for being so aggressive.

Dr. Francis nods his head

Dr. Francis: Do you have any knowledge of The Scarlet King?

SCP-5827: The what now?

Dr. Francis: The Scarlet King.

SCP-5827 is oblivious to the subject

SCP-5827: No, I don't.

Dr. Francis: Okay, last question and then we're done for today.

SCP-5827: What is it?

Dr. Francis: Are you aware that the lieutenant that reported you was your own twin brother?

SCP-5827: What?! No, it can't be! █████ loves me, he just has a weird way of showing it! He wouldn't!

Dr. Francis: Well, we checked your blood and it's a match.

SCP-5827: Show me!

Dr. Francis pulls out a picture of Lieutenant █████

Dr. Francis: This is the lieutenant. Does he look familiar?

SCP-5827: This can't be happening!

SCP-5827 seems to be having an anxiety attack

Dr. Francis: 5827 please calm yourself.

SCP-5827: NO, NO! I CAN'T! I CAN'T! NO!

Dr. Francis: I'm going to need you to calm down-

SCP-5827: YOU CALM DOWN! MY OWN BROTHER HAS BETRAYED ME! I'M GONNA KILL HIM THE NEXT TIME I SEE HIM!

Dr. Francis: Why don't we take a break?

SCP-5827 turns into the wolf, runs at the glass, shattering it, and roars aggressively at Dr. Francis

Dr. Francis: Okay we're done for today!

Dr. Francis runs out of the containment room with SCP-5827 directly behind him

Dr. Francis: WE HAVE A CONTAINMENT BREACH, INITIATE LOCKDOWN! AND GET ME LIEUTENANT █████ FROM MTF DELTA-5.

<End Log>

Dr. Francis’s Note: SCP-5827 clearly requires further processing and all memory of █████ should be completely erased from his mind just so there’s no distractions when he’s on the field. I think that SCP-5827 could be a great teacher for SCP-239, this could be very good for her and the world.

Addendum 5827-18: After SCP-5827 was interviewed the second time, attempted to escape and failed, the doctors used the educational methods of brainwashing to make him lose his memory of who he was in order to make sure he’s loyal to the foundation. However he has kept the memory of SCP-239 and his brother for reasons that the staff are still unable to understand.

Interviewed: SCP-5827

Interviewer: Dr. Clef

<Begin Log>

Dr. Clef enters the glass area

Dr. Clef: Wake up 5827, we have an interview to do!

SCP-5827 wakes up from his nap

SCP-5827: Okay, okay. Wait, where’s Dr. Francis?

Dr. Clef: Dr. Francis is at his son’s tenth birthday party and won’t be back until next week, so I'm taking over until then.

SCP-5827: Understood.

Dr. Clef: Okay, do you have any memory of SCP-239?

SCP-5827: Of course I do. I remember Francis saying that you would consider allowing me to teach her how to control her powers, was that accepted or what’s going on?

Dr. Clef: It was accepted as long as you don’t do anything dangerous.

SCP-5827: Don’t worry I'll make sure nothing happens to her, I promise.

Dr. Clef: Good, I don’t want more Santa's running around my facility.

SCP-5827: Excuse me?

Dr. Clef: Never mind that. Do you remember your previous containment breach?

SCP-5827: I never tried to breach containment, sir.

Dr. Clef: Okay, do you know anything about the The Scarlet King?

SCP-5827: I think Francis already asked me that.

Dr. Clef: Well I didn’t, so answer the question.

SCP-5827: I’m going to tell you the same thing I told Francis, no I don’t.

Dr. Clef: Do you know your name?

SCP-5827: I am SCP-5827, also known as “The Night Beast.”

Dr. Clef: No I mean your real name.
SCP-5827: I don’t know my name.

Dr. Clef: Okay, how do you feel about going on field missions even though you’re an SCP?

SCP-5827: I guess it’s nice to help out you’re foundation, even though I think some of the SCP’s deserve better.

Dr. Clef: Okay, do you know someone named █████ ██████ ███████?

SCP-5827 seems to be in deep thought

SCP-5827: Not sure. It sounds familiar though, who is she?

Dr. Clef: No one important.

SCP-5827: If she’s not important why did you ask me about her?

Dr. Clef: It’s NOT important.

SCP-5827: Yes sir.

Dr. Clef: Alright, do you remember how you were contained?

SCP-5827: Yes, that terrible excuse for a brother betrayed me.

Dr. Clef: Do you get fleas or ticks?

SCP-5827: Is this a joke?

Dr. Clef: No.

SCP-5827: Well, I did last Monday, worst day of my life I tell you.

Dr. Clef: What is your purpose in life?

SCP-5827: Not sure, what’s The Scarlet King’s?

Dr. Clef: What do you mean?

SCP-5827: You all keep asking me about this Scarlet King, but have failed to tell me why it has anything to do with me or what he is.

Dr. Clef: Listen for now it’s classified to you, so we’ll stop asking you about it.

SCP-5827: Fine. As long as it doesn’t affect me or Sigurrós.

Dr. Clef: It doesn’t. So this isn't one of the questions, but I have to know, who were your parents?

SCP-5827 looks confused

SCP-5827: Why would you want to know that?

Dr. Clef: Just wondering.

SCP-5827: I don’t know. I don’t remember them.

Dr. Clef: Dr. Francis said you failed to answer this question, but I'm going to ask anyway. How did you get that many scars on your body?

SCP-5827: I actually don’t remember.

Dr. Clef: Okay wolf, do you really see yourself as a monster? Francis told me that you said that people see you and SCP-239 as monsters.

SCP-5827: Yes, look at me. I’m literally called a beast. I can make people see their worst fears and memories. Look at my eyes, look at my claws, my teeth, my ears, my tail, and I killed people when I didn’t want to. My nightmares are all the same and it keeps repeating over and over and over again. I JUST WANT IT TO STOP!

SCP-5827 starts to sob

Dr. Clef: I’m so sorry, 5827. So that's why you care so much about 239?

SCP-5827: Yes, I don’t want her to end up like me when she grows up. A terrible monster that everyone fears and hates when they don’t even know you.

Dr. Clef: Anyway, it’s time for lunch. I will see you for your experiment at five.

SCP-5827: Alright I'll see you there.

<End Log>

Dr Clef’s Note: SCP-5827 seems to just be traumatized by whatever happened to him in his past. His interview before the one I gave him just proves it. He was tortured by his brother as a kid, probably didn’t have a lot of friends before █████, doesn’t know his father or mother, and clearly fears himself and his powers. I was surprised that he had so many terrible things happen to him. I thought he was going to ask me to throw him a bone.

So, obviously I actually lurked this website for a long time if I am willing to rewrite an SCP, here is the new script in its base draft

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5827 is to be kept within a one room cell furnished with basic amenities in Site 17. Constant surveillance is to be maintained, if there are any issues, contact Doctor Francis.

Personnel entering SCP-5827's chambers are to equip thermal resistant armor plating to prevent any damage from SCP-5827 as a result from instant introduction to heat, personnel are also ordered to put a muzzle and spit guard on SCP-5827 and chain them down, guards are to be stationed at the door and are authorized to use force if SCP-5827 attempts to resist. If SCP-5827 attempts to use their powers in defiance, guards are authorized to use the threat of, or to use, deadly force.

In special circumstances, personnel can choose to not follow these procedures, see Addendum-5827-XX for information.

Addendum-5827-01: SCP-5827 is only to be fed raw chicken food from the diet plan that Doctor Francis has created and is to only drink water and tard cum.

Addendum-5827-02: Upon further request, SCP-5827 is to be granted 1 (one) Playstation game console and TV set.

Description: SCP-5827 (formerly known as Iosif Artenie) is a ██ year old caucasian male with brunette hair and dark red eyes of Eastern European descent. At the time of the publication of this article, SCP-5827 measures 1.91 meters in height and 82 kg in weight. They appear to have multiple scars on their body, and have features similar to that of a bipedal Canis Lupus, a grey wolf, they can transition between their regular form and this form at will. Additionally, they have a brand on their right shoulder in the shape of a wolf's head.

When SCP-5827 is in their wolf form, they have the ability to heat up their bodily fluids at will to ~370 K, additionally, SCP-5827 can also heat up any liquid they touch with their claws to the same temperatures.

Save for later use:
Addendum-5827-XX:
Although SCP-5827's eyes are usually red, when they are placed in proximity to someone they care about or don't want to hurt, they turn Light Hazel, SCP-5827 has confirmed that to be their original eye color.

As you can clearly see, I am just getting started, but feel free to give me feedback as for some reason the chat is dead on that website.

From reviewing it, I can point out MAJOR no-nos:

- Brainwashing schtick - To simply put, the Ethics Committee would have fits on this one and someone would be losing their job

- Constant misuse of Addendums/Too much Addendums: Addendums are meant to show information that, while not being essential to the description, is overall helpful and adds more to the article.

- For some reason the full names of the MTF Divisions with callsigns are put on there, anyone with a brain can figure out why this is bad.

- Aforementioned tacking on of disorders, while they don't appear in this copy (The author edited it when I pointed it out), essentially it was: ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, PTSD, Bipolar, etc..., of course when you read it nothing actually pointing to this shows.

- Un-needed descriptions

- The whole The Brother is a Foundation personnel Schtick, like I said, the Ethics Committee would have a fit, in-fact, everyone would, since this dude intentionally created an SCP.

Note: I am instead putting the brother as a Person of Interest, cult activities will be the schtick instead.

- Mary Sue traits: Multiple powers, TrAGiC bACkStoRY, angst, literally fought SCP-682 and "chose to let him live", even though that is basically impossible even for reality benders,

- Basically an Otherkin, 'nuff said, and an un-realistic one at that, in the original script, they had "claws sharp like a Harpy's, and the bite force of a Hippopotamus", you can see why that is problematic

- Friendship plot with SCP-239: literally the dates don't match up, plus, by the time she had been transported to Site-17, she was in a medically induced coma, they couldn't have interacted in any way, shape, or form. (Site-17 is where the low-level humanoid SCP-s go)

- "and even dented SCP-148": Problematic because no reality benders are to be allowed near a mere ingot of SCP-148, also, it is basically impossible to dent, ALSO, why would he be allowed to damage one.

Please give me critique

Sorry to let you down, but you’re being kind of a sperg. I’m not about to defend SCP staff or the shitty cliques, hierarchies, and predators on their website, but it seems like you’re intentionally trying to find something to shit on to make yourself look better. I took a look at your Wikidot profile. You barely know how to format your own pages and yet you’ve already posted a rant about 2-year-old pride month drama and “muh self-inserts” on a Kaktus SCP. It’s just beating a dead horse at this point. For the record, you can write characters without adding them to the personnel dossier. If they’re interesting, other people will *actually want to write them* instead of feeling obligated to do so. Please don’t blame the mods for asking you to do the bare minimum and lay the groundwork for your own character.

By the way, please just save yourself the energy and don’t try to become a bigshot SCP author. You most likely won’t gain anything from it except extra writing practice and there’s a pipeline of authors who inevitably suffer from mental breakdowns and burnout while trying to chase upvotes and popularity. Just take a look at this thread and be glad none of them are you.

Alright, point taken, I probably was sperging out because I have been staying up too much. I tend to get pretty over-dramatic and spergy when staying up and I guess this was a byproduct of it.

But yeah, the point of this is for me to get in some writing practice and nothing more, the good/bad reception is just gonna be helping me with gauging my skills.

Alright, so here is the reason the admins turn such a blind eye to the sex shit. Essentially, the captain of their "Anti-" Harassment Team, SoullessSingularity, knows and does nothing. Soulless is in charge of all "harassment" cases on the SCP Foundation wiki, meaning they are the one who oversees cases involving conflict between users, the one whose input is seemingly more valuable than other admins' regarding "disciplinary matters," the one who sits on their ass when multiple prominent authors get reported for ERPing with and sexting the same underage user, etc etc

So, I'm Cyantreuse. I was in the main NSFW channel (one of two I ever knew of) from at least early 2016 to late 2018 (age 18-21 for me; I'm 22 now) and Soulless (age 25 now) was in it too for most of that period. Other admins -- specifically administrators, not moderators or operational staff -- who frequented the channel were Dexanote (either late 20s or early 30s now), Bright/Duck (38 now), and Quikngruvn (late 40s or early 50s, thinking the latter is correct). Thedeadlymoose, Roget, and one other were also present for several conversations and lurked sometimes, but not were not active over a couple years like Soul, Dex, Duck, and Quik were.

In November 2019, I finally reported Duck in particular after I unsuccessfully encouraged him to recognize his power over site users as an administrator in relation to his sexual behavior. He claimed in October 2019 that he hadn't "been sexual in the community for a good many years." When I told Soulless about this, they appeared to get defensive, and I was still in cuck mode believing these fuckers' bullshit so I didn't argue; I was even naive enough to think Bright wasn't a predator, just ignorant to the responsibility inherent to his position or some shit. (That's certainly the facade he puts on, and I saw him as a friend far longer than I should have.) Notably, Soulless claimed they had no way to know any of what happens sexually with Bright because it happens in side channels they don't look at -- side channels like the one main side channel that they themself talked in for years.

001_report.jpg

The next are two screenshots I was sent in late 2019, in which another author claims something about Bright that I think is relevant here. The person did get his age wrong (he's 38 now, according to FetLife) but they're correct that he asked his Tumblr followers for nudes for his birthday at least one year. It reminds me of a time when Duck changed his IRC nick to "DuckAtBDSMcon" or something like that -- while he was online in #site19 and #site17 clearly marked in the sidebar as an administrator, in an IRC for a community where the minimum age is 15. (Also, reminder that they literally allow porn links to be sent in 19 if you flag it NSFW.)

003_bright.png

I do not believe Soulless is a sexual creep as far as their individual desires and pursuits go, to be clear (if they are, I haven't ever seen the behavior), but they are beyond willfully ignorant to the high-ranking creeps' predatory trends and to the overall issues with SCP sex culture. They have had several months to crack down on these deep-rooted issues the community won't allow to stay hidden anymore, and yet they continue to play the good cop and they remain entrusted by the community with private details of users' personal lives, relationships, and conflicts. I firmly believe based on what I have seen that Soulless and the rest of the anti-harassment team ignore any cases that threaten the staff hierarchy of the wiki or incriminate someone too well-known to lose without a massive scandal.

The following logs were downloaded from IRCCloud and I screencapped them in Notepad. One of the relevant sections was too long and is attached as a .txt file instead.

On June 17th 2016, Soulless joined the channel for the first time and asked what it was for, getting the answer of "mostly sexual stuff" and clearly seeing that other admins and staff were present in the channel interacting with users and chatting. Soulless would go on to remain in the channel acting as if all is well, and they never expressed that it was an issue for administrators to be flirting with users or commenting on their pics/fantasies/etc in the channel. (Sorry for the redaction; that unrelated personal stuff is in the middle of the relevant shit and I'm not trying to embarrass those people.)

004_soul_joins.jpg

Weird time that Soulless vented in the channel about not wanting to be an admin anymore, with Bright there joking(?) about hiring based on attractiveness:

005_admin_vent.jpg

That was far from the only time a staffer used the NSFW channel to vent about staff shit. For example, here's Roget shit-talking two people:

006_roget_shittalk.jpg

The next part was too long to get in a screencap, so I wasn't able to highlight names. It's the attached file called "aging_up_discussion.txt" for which Soulless is present and talking. I'm including that part because I think it speaks volumes to the SCP wiki's more-than-iffy standards about sex and age. I have removed the main person's name because this took place almost four years ago and the point isn't to shame this person in particular (who wasn't a 'big name' author, staff member, or someone with a lot of social influence anyway), especially given what they say at the end of the conversation.

Not trying to overload y'all with information here, but that should show that Soulless is/was present often and at least lurking in the channel as all this went on. More IMO worse shit that they appear to have been lurking during (though they were possibly AFK, to be fair):

Duck talks about a "little girl" who "fell in love with" him and "cosplayed" him (real him, not the character Bright):

007_bright_cosplay_weird.jpg

I'm including the below one because I feel that the information Duck is sharing is a good example of how trashy, impersonal sexual behavior -- even offline -- is normalized in the community:

008_bright_convention_wife.jpg

Furthermore, I was debating including this part and I ultimately am because I feel that it shows Soulless' manipulative personal habits and apparent history of lying. The person in yellow is an author who was banned quite a few years ago.

009_banned_convo.jpg

So, in summary: The SCP wiki's anti-harassment team captain, SoullessSingularity -- who, to my understanding, assigns themself every single case involving conflict between SCP wiki users, who is entrusted with the deepest secrets staff discuss -- claimed that the wiki's sex culture involving Bright in particular (and admins) happens in "all these side channels" and doesn't get reported to them, despite the undeniable fact that they watched over two years of it happen.

I think it's about time for staff to rename the "anti-harassment team" back to the "harassment team." It was more accurate a name, because they are not against harassment as a concept at all; on the contrary they perpetuate it, and they directly endorse it when it benefits the SCP inner circle cult (i.e. Caro and Roget manipulating CFO and literally stating that they had the goal of inducing a mental breakdown). SCP staff are happy to state their ~harassment policy~, but they'll never consider middle-aged administrators perving on teenage users to be abusive or inappropriate, so I guess there will remain no rule against it.

SCP administration, so many people have given you so many chances to do the right thing -- in public and in private -- and still you consistently do nothing. It's looking like time for this community to understand that you have your eyes shut on purpose. Your lack of action alone is baffling by this point, but combined with your money it is absolutely unacceptable.

A request to John Beattie/DrMann: Will you, as the SCP wiki's owner, with >$160,000 in the bank, now grit your teeth and begin taking the ugly but necessary actions to reform your staff? Please don't tell us that you're planning to sweep things under the rug forever; you ought to know from your fiction that it won't work out.

I attached an image to prove this is me since I had sworn I'd never make an account here. I was convinced this really was an alt-right website and all that nonsense. Clearly I had some misconceptions, and I want to apologize to the posters here for spreading those inaccuracies on Tumblr last year and when talking to my friends about everything that's happened. Regardless, I expect some people from SCP will be upset that I'm making this post; I tried to redact anything personal and sexual if it was in the middle of an important screenshot, and I'm posting the above logs because I feel that it is the only path forward in exposing what needs to be exposed about staff and the wiki's culture. The SCP wiki is a hellhole where creepy people prey on young people and get away with it by being #woke and Gay(TM) and left-wing to appear safe in the eyes of the community. The wiki gains tens of thousands of new members per year, and almost all of them are teenagers or in their early 20s. This can't go on any longer.

Staff permanently banned someone over paraphrasing Wikipedia in one of their articles, and yet they do jack and shit about stuff like this.

Priorities, amirite?

Exactly, and honestly, I think they were trying to take down Meta for a while. He had conflict with staff over the years to the point where he was openly disliked among many of them. I think most of it started around the time that they made this 05 thread, which has context for what his issues were. When they banned him a few months ago, I immediately thought that the Wikipedia thing was a thinly veiled excuse. They want to get rid of enemies first and foremost, I've come to realize, not enforce the rules.

It's even more ridiculous than Wikipedia Arbcom bullshit, where they have elaborate fake court proceedings with labyrinthine rules, except the rules don't actually matter and it's just an autism fight where mobs of primates shriek and fling feces at each other and then award victory to the angriest and most autistic group with the most time to devote to the tard fight. And this is how they decide what's "encyclopedic."

This is more ridiculous because it doesn't even matter, whereas for some reason, Wikipedia is taken seriously and given an absurd amount of weight for what it is.

Getting into slapfights over pointless bullshit on O5 and manipulating rules to ban people they don’t like is a hell of a lot easier than taking the time to do what’s right and kick off all the people on the staff team who abuse their power. If they waste time fighting in public like this, it creates the appearance that they’re too busy with “important matters” to reform staff. In light of Cyan’s post, here’s a list of several people on staff who still have not been formally removed despite the fact that their atrocious behavior has been made public:

> TheDuckman / AdminBright: (Admin, 38, creepiness around minors + intentionally targeting and grooming much younger site members for sex for YEARS and harassing SCP fans.)
> Roget: (Admin, 24, he and his girlfriend emotionally manipulated the owner of a rival writing website to become the owners.)
> SoullessSingularity: (Admin, 25, ignores reports and lies about the behavior of other staff members.)
> Uncle Nicolini: (Moderator, 25, sexual harassment, manipulation, other shitty behavior.)
> WrongJohnSilver: (Moderator, 45, in a relationship with someone who was repeatedly groomed by much older men in the SCP fandom.)
> Subtletea: (Op staff, likely mid-20s, was in a sexual relationship with a 15 or 16 year old site member, posts about her “mental health uwu” on O5.)

And it’s not only staff who evade discipline. See also:

> Spookybee / Skitty: (Post from the time has inaccuracies, she’s the founder of Site12, the major NSFW chat, and was in a relationship with an underage user while in her early 20s.)
> djkaktus: (Attempted to pressure a younger hookup partner into drinking alcohol, and I’ve been informed in private that he was responsible for mass-downvoting GAW content and then downplaying the situation as staff investigated.)

This isn’t everyone, by the way. I haven’t included people who
a) I couldn’t find anything to provide a link to
and/or
b) I can’t talk about here, due to the potential for backlash
and/or
c) have already been banned for horrific shit that shouldn’t have happened in a hobby writing community, which are discussed in other parts of this thread.

And I’m sure I’m missing a few people, but I can’t be bothered. Not like they’ll be banned, anyway.

When I started reading the site all the way back in the early to mid 2010s, never in a thousand years would I think that the staff had this much dirty laundry.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if ProcyonLotor (Or any other furry on staff.) gets outed as a zoophile

Oh we’ve been at that point for a while now. Read the first post of this thread.

Just wanted to throw my hat into the ring with my personal experience with SCP staff.
I'm not going to hide my experience, so those of you with some background knowledge of the community can probably piecemeal together who I am.

I pissed off a pretty well known writer because I told them that "making memes isn't harassment", to which they did not like. Many disagreements and such later, they send me a few threats and they're on their way. Wouldn't you know it, a month or so later and I make it into their article as a character who is using their power in the organization to persecute LGBT people, who ultimately dies by some vigilante SCP justice. They reference my username almost one to one, so I go ahead and talk to SCP staff, because, I wasn't aware that the site was used for thinly veiled hit-pieces on disliked users.

Wouldn't you know it, I report the damn thing to Soulless, and instead of assuring me that it would be looked into and giving me some modicum of separation between the person who had sent me threats, which had now turned into fantasy death threats, they don't believe me, and they say they're going to ask for the writers opinion, and include that in the 05 thread. In the writing sphere, I'm not nearly as important as the person who had caricatured me into a corrupt LGBT hating official, so they thought it prudent to include the harassers point of view on the topic. Keep in mind, I've never fucking posted on the SCP-WIKI site once for this reason.

It was brought up to SCP staff that the writer in question is randomly putting peoples names that they don't like, taking potshots through their own article. Of course, the first person to reply is Bright, who says "I've done that before" as if that makes it a good thing. Though the tide eventually changed to "we should probably tell writers not to use the site as a platform to take shots from", SCP staff ended up doing nothing, and you can still find my name on the article today.

lol
