Mostly getting at the fact that there'd be no deeper emotional reaction. Many popular streamers actually have communities; they find one another on other forums, make fan videos, etc. Like him or not, if PewDiePie vanished tomorrow there'd be a sense of loss in internet circles. Despite his level of financial support and the life he's built on it, Phil doesn't have any of that. He's got one forum, which he himself "runs" (except when he doesn't feel like it, which is often) and his channels and that's it. With him gone his genuine fans and trolls alike would shrug their shoulders and move on to get what they want from someone else. He may be a one-of-a-kind sperg, but the entertainment and "relationship experience" (for the lack of a better term) that Phil offers is neither unique nor valuable.

It’s almost like Phil just hasn’t experienced any kind of “fun” hypothetical like that. If he has, it’s been a REALLY long time. He’s like an alien when it comes to certain things. “Superman vs. Goku? That is not a logical question and I must ridicule it, and you. Ha. Ha. Ha.”

He more reminds me of a 16 year old who just got a girlfriend. He's convinced he's never gonna need porn again, never gonna acknowledge that other women are attractive, and is going to lord it over everyone who asks about his girlfriend. It just reeks of insecurity.

He's very traditional in a lot of his values, and I think he did think of marriage as some sort of magical thing that would make him solely attracted to his wife. Add to that the speculation we have about Kat's opinions about video game dating, we have two people who are extremely insecure about the relationship and themselves. Even leaving aside the speculation that Kat's a gold digger, this marriage was never going to work with these two people. The amount of insecurity from both of them is only going to make the relationship more toxic over time.

I think that the whole marriage is indicative of Phil's life as a whole. He can't think of anything deeper than surface level. We talk about how he could get out of debt, how a few decisions could change his life for the positive if he just stuck to something for a few months/years. I genuinely think that this is impossible for Phil. He can't fix his marriage, he can't fix his debt. Not that he's too lazy, not that he's ignorant and hoping it will vanish, but because he literally can't comprehend fixing these issues, he's too mentally deficient.
