Tim Minchin blasts Scott Morrison's response to the coronavirus crisis and says he doesn't deserve credit because he's 'just taking advice from people'

(Tim Minchin's a butthurt lefty fag here who makes really bad songs.)

It would be useful if Corona chan would work her magic on that faggot.

------------
A phlebotomist working at Roseland Community Hospital said Thursday that 30% to 50% of patients tested for the coronavirus have antibodies while only around 10% to 20% of those tested have the active virus.

Uh-oh! No wonder the UK didn't want to use those Anti-body tests! The old fossil in charge was all "No, No they're not any good, maybe one day in the FUTURE we can use them, maybe".

Owaynat said the number of patients coming through the testing center who appear to have already had coronavirus and gotten over it is far greater than those who currently have the disease.

A recent study of 1,000 people in the Heinsberg District of Bonn, Germany found that 15% of the population had contracted the virus, many unknowingly and without symptoms.

Of those, only 0.37% died from COVID-19, a figure much lower than those previously cited.

That narrative for ruining the global economy sure seems to be falling apart a bit.

In Tampa, hours are being cut even in Tampa General, the hospital in the heart of downtown. Perhaps our insurance rates will go down this month? :optimistic:

Bayfront's cutting hours too. No elective procedures and PPE quintupling in price is bad news for hospitals.

Just wish they'd start with admin staff instead of healthcare workers.

Germany will issue immunity certificates. When you are walking on the street the police will say "Ihre Papiere, bitte!". If you don't have them you will be sent home or to a camp where people like you are concentrated. Seems very prudent.
Maybe they should give out bright yellow badges, that way the police will know who and what you are.

The amount of false news this thing is generating is off the charts. Does the news media have no... ethics? Desire to maintain credibility...? Journalistic integrity?
Cable outlets don't care, all channels get a pretty even cut of the subscription fee so no matter what they get the cash.
For instance CNN is owned by WarnerMedia who also own Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, Bleacher Report, TNT, truTV, TBS, HBO and others, most of which get sold(leased) to your local cable provider in one package.

Print is held up ATM by investment capital and web ads.
Also some morons just cant understand things like there is no such thing as a 'trustworthy source' (literally a logical fallacy).

The EU has agreed to spend 500 billion Euros to cover initial costs of the Wu Flu Pandemic and to support Italy and Spain. There's no article on this yet, but it was on the news.

Well shit. I did not expect that one. I'll be paying attention to how people react for tonight's news roundup. But for reasons explained on my last message it might've been too late. Spain doesn't change track easily, mobilization has started en masse, EU rules will be ignored and broken. That's inevitable. And the moncloa pact looks set to be fiercely nationalistic. Doesn't seem wise to hand money to us under this climate. But we do have a sense of duty, so debts will have to be paid. I'll inform how it goes tonight.

So having read through so much media over this, I think I can finally make a definitive power ranking on most accurate information sources on Corona in the English Language

I'm a bit fuzzy on the details, so I'm looking forward to learn about the details of this. I sincerely hope that it'll genuinely help Italy and Spain, the Wu Flu has ravaged your nations and cost you dearly.

Corona #1!

Eh, taking into account how many killsteals corona gets I'd say she's still not as good at killing burgerlanders as they are at killing themselves. But hey, she still gets bragging rights anyway. Deathfats and Boomers Exterminator Extraordinaire!

Dr. Campbell made an 'encouraging' video on immunity. Also, Porton Down laboratory is on the fucking case.

16% of the population have had the virus and now have antibodies and immunity. Also if there are lots of asymptomatic cases the CFR comes down. Herd immunity needs 60-70% but even 15-16% will slow the spread. Caveat - study is based on one town but the authors think that the study is representative.

This takes Germany's CFR down from the Johns Hopkins estimate of 1.98% which he calls 'frightening high' to 0.37% which is 'encouraging'. Roughly 1 in 300 infected people will die.

The much lower CFR is because the study is detecting asymptomatic cases.

OTOH a Chinese study failed to detect antibodies in 6% of the cases. It might be a poor test because LOLPRC but it might also indicate that not everyone becomes immune. Most people think that immunity lasts for around 18 months based on similar viruses, could be more. 18 months is sufficient time to develop a vaccine. The authors of the study recommend more testing. Amen to that.

Antibody testing currently only being done in Porton Down. Sophisticated lab. We need a mass market test.

Germany will issue immunity certificates. When you are walking on the street the police will say "Ihre Papiere, bitte!". If you don't have them you will be sent home or to a camp where people like you are concentrated. Seems very prudent.

Discussion of how countries are doing with testing.

Australia and New Zealand now have declining new case counts. France is behind on testing. Germany doing well. Iceland doing very well.

Campbell reckons we need to test everyone. Sweden is a failure as you'd expect. Switzerland is a doing very well, as you'd also expect.

India and Pakistan are both a complete fail. Same with Philippines - tightly packed urban areas, very low levels of testing. Same with Africa.

It seems like India, Pakistan, Africa may well have a very serious problem in the future.

Has Germany got good experience with asking for "Zee papers" and running concentration camps? :story:

CBS is making your list seem untrustworthy, so far they have used Italian ICU footage twice in news stories about US hospitals.

Ironically not as much as Britain with their loicences. The britfags are just less blatant about it. Then again in Spain we use our National Identity Document as a fucking loicence to ask for takeout so we can't shame them.

The ridiculous thing is, he didn’t even break the lockdown rules. We are all supposed to be trying to do what we can to ensure our elderly and vulnerable kith and kin arent going out. We are allowed, nay encouraged, to go to the shops for them as long as we don’t actually go a visit. Also, who the fuck actually trusts the care of their frail parents to the parents’ bloody neighbours anyway?!

Nobody, which is why its such a piece of trash and really highlighting we need reform of journalism in general. They've really not covered themselves in glory in this and tried to operate desperately business as usual.

Might've been worth re-establishing a censorship board for the duration like we have done in other unprecedented national crises. It'd cut down the gossipy bullshit and silly bastard playing for irrelevent subjects like "leaving the EU" for a bit anyway.

I'm wondering to all the U.K kiwis, have you heard any of the LGBT alphabetti spaghetti lot screee about the rainbow being used for love/thanks for N.H.S ? I thought they would be wailing about their symbol being used

The rainbow got taken from the faggots and given back to the children.

I'm ok with that.

Corona-news from Poland

1. We made our own test, which will be cheap (12 euros, 13 $). They are planning to produce 150k of them next week.

2. Unofficially, 20th April (Hitler's birthday lol) will be the day to restart the economy, starting with clothes stores in malls, other stores (of course with social distancing gloves and masks and a limited number of customers at a time). , and barbershops/hairdressers.

3. Some statistics concerning the sources of the infection here.
- 30,1% of all cases - got infected in hospitals and clinics (this includes medical staff and patients)
- 27,8% - cases due to horizontal transmissions & other situations (the article does not specify what are they)
- 26,6% - cases who had contact with other infected people
- 8,9% - cases tested positive during quarantine or after returning from abroad
- 6,6% - cases in nursing homes

Thirty percent got infected in clinics/hospitals? Well my doctor better do telemedicine or I'm switching to one who does. I'm going to assume doctors offices are just as bad.

Interesting article regarding how Iran is dealing, or not dealing, with the ChiCom Flu.

Earlier today, went to Costco. Waited maybe ten minutes to shuffle into the store. Some bitch ahead of me would hardly move up as the line moved up. Cunt. Good supply of water, toilet paper and baby wipes. No gloves. Got what I needed and got the fuck out.

Was going to go by the commissary, but at the entrance found I needed a mask. Turned back, not real happy. Wife has a couple of masks, will take one for commissary trips. Went by base gas station, found regular had shot up to $2.49/gallon. Guess the shipment of the $1.99 gas ran out. Since we aren't driving much these days we need little gasoline anyway.

I just try to get through these shopping trips. Way past tired of being treated like a leper and a criminal just about everywhere I go to shop. No, you AREN'T doing me a favor letting me shop in your fucking establishment. I pay for what I buy, sure don't get it free. If I seem to have an attitude, go figure, you fuckwagons.
God, that's lame. One of these days I know any stores I go to are going to require masks. Not looking forward to it.

At least gas is still $1.30/gal, so there's that.
