Aluminum will still be properly recycled. It takes 95% less energy to reprocess aluminum then it does to process new aluminum from ore, and aluminum is 99% recyclable and relatively easy to separate from impurities, so no matter the price of material the recycled aluminum stock will continue to be cheaper.Well, they did and the chinks paid damn good money. For our recyclables. The bottom dropped outta the market. They stopped buying.
When the recycle truck comes by on Thursday to empty the blue bin, I guarantee those are going to the same landfill as the general garbage green bin is going on Tuesday.
Fucked as it is, there is zero market for recyclables right now.

Plastic is the major problem, its hard to recycle and expensive. This is why all plastic drink dispensers should be switched to aluminum cans. Fuck plastic. Wouldnt surprise me if scrapyards and the like werent stockpiling as much material as possible for the inevitable upswing in demand that will follow an economy that has stood still for months.
