Yeah, I figured someone might have already posted an article about the hypothesis that some form of Covid-19 arrived in California in September but nothing recent showed up in a search so I probably didn't use the correct configuration of search terms to find it.

I miss the early days of all this shit when it was just contained to us being on the frontlines of information and direct reporting from street level leaks. Now, I have to sit and listen to all the normies at work and in the extended fam spout some of the most rètarded shit that makes someone like @Drain Todger seem only mildly autistic. All of a sudden every single fuck that told me I was crazy is an 'expert' and knows all the 'hottest secrets and facts'.

And they are all talking about how smart they are for making useless masks out of their dad's old underwear. And they are only now even thinking about masks because the government now tells them it might be usefull 2 days ago. They also love to talk about how much it sucks having to go to empty supermarkets full of coof because they have nothing on hand for long term shut in.

Meanwhile thanks to the autists here on KF I am sitting cozy at home on piles of food, ammo, real PPE, and legit N95's I got back in January.

we are a second city in an affected state and we very briefly reached "running low on PPE, full ICU and new ICU Ward, fridge truck" status but have since slowed down. we got a peak then the stay at home order kicked in and it slowed.

the people put on vents a few weeks ago are still dying. the people who came close to needing one are slowly getting out and going home. less are coming in than out right now.

no elective stuff at all, anyone who's not involved in treating this can totally be sent home. if you can't work on a body, put in a tube, check meds on a pump or clean up, you're home on furlough

edit: they're using an actual antiviral (one used for HIV) and a capillary-hardening drug, not using HCQ at all anymore here.

less people going on to the ventilator stages with this combo. less deaths.
I still wouldn't want to catch this. it's nasty.

Covid-19 has been linked to the horse shoe bat. This particular type of bat is not native to the Wuhan area either and not used as ''meat'' (that's the poor ''fruit bat'').

So what the fuck?
