I'm re-watching the last episode (because what the hell else am I supposed to do on a Saturday night these days? haha) Great episode, but there is one thing I'm not getting about it... Why is Gustavo so much more invested in making sure that Jimmy gets the 7 million back to Lalo than even Lalo himself, or the rest of the cartel, even is? (Gus literally sent his best man to keep an eye on/protect Jimmy, and Lalo didn't do jack shit.) Make no mistake, I get that Lalo doesn't give a shit about Jimmy, that much is obvious... but it is *totally* in Lalo's best interest to make sure that Jimmy safely delivers the 7 million ti the courthouse so he can make his bail, and (presumably) go south, and it isn't like he doesn't have the man power to discretely protect Jimmy while he makes the drop. I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.
And to be clear, I know *exactly* why Gus went so far out of his way to make sure Lalo got out, I'm just wondering why Lalo himself didn't seem to care as much.
Side note: I can kind of sympathize with her for doing it, but Kim was dumb AF going to see Lalo, *knowing* he was high up in the cartel. *Best* case scenario now, the cartel have leverage over Jimmy/Saul... but either way now, her life is in danger.
