Late but I’m with the recap master on this one. Just as making fun of Chorlie Gold, doesn’t mean I like Chantal: Who is She isn’t off limits either. She tried to make a quick buck by going after low hanging fruit and got canned for it. Not only that but she used entire videos on three occasions to do so.

I don’t care for Jen or defending Jen’s gluttonous glory, but that reaction from ”Who is She“ of trying to threaten a lolsuit and getting her husband involved is prime cow material itself.

Also her profile pic of some shitty 3D avatar should have been enough to cause her to lose all of her subscribers. It screams insecurity and makes it seem like she’s attacking Jen out of embarrassment of her own shortcomings.

tl;dr: learn to edit your videos or don’t become a “content creator”

That's what I thought too, but wasn't sure because I never paid attention to her. I'm not sure where the idea is coming from that WIS was just a re-uploader, but I guess we can just dispel with this fiction that Jen had a legitimate DMCA claim 🙃

The first cutesy, “shy-until-I-get-to-know-you-then-you-can’t-shut-me-up” part just seems like one of those canned, cliche statements on a dating profile or something, but I’m sure Gene can attest to it being maddeningly true. I think I hear empty single malt whiskey bottles clinking together.

Her odd, childish handwriting makes the last part look like she wrote “I lah a lot”, followed by a drawing of Pac-Man devouring everything in his path. Jen in a nutshell.

Anyone noticed how fat he looks in the bunny ears picture? Now that Gin doesn't need to juggle between buying booze or food, since he moved in a flat with never-ending supply of the worst junk food, he won't stay skinny for long. I feel for the poor fucker though, he had no idea a pandemic would make him stay with his beloved girlfriend 24/7 with no way out. He seems completely wasted in that veg-guessing video. Don't blame him. I couldn't pretend to be excited about a purple turnip.

He was already stuck inside with her, thanks to her emotional blackmail, "please don't go outside, I am scared if you go, I will eat all the food." She has already done that to him once that we know of, and I would bet she has done it since too.

In the beginning I was extremely unsympathetic about both of them, but after watching some of their old videos(its very boring in lockdown here), I am actually a bit more sympathetic towards Gene. He wants to do things, he wants to go out, he wants to join a band, he wants to travel, and he seems to want Jen to do them too. Do I believe he loves her as a girlfriend? No, but I think he does care about her.

Saying that though, even if Gene does want to get sober, Jen won't let that happen, they are supposed to be beating their addictions together, but we all know that Jen doesn't want to stop eating, and because of this, she won't let Gene get sober, because a sober Gene means Gene is going to start looking for something better, not only that, but she is sharing her own addiction with him.

Its actually pretty nasty, but then again, Jen is grade A nasty.

I had some empathy for Gene (not really sympathy but just empathy for his addiction and situation) when he first moved in but that's long gone now. He's clearly not ready to get sober and meanwhile he's helping drag another addict down with him. Jen has her own agency and isn't some puppet of Gene's but addicts know they should avoid other addicts in domestic situations and they both dove head first into it anyways.

Gene, like many addicts, in his more clear eyed moments, can be downright inspirational, but the problem is when the clear eyed moments are just moments and nothing more. Every addict has those moments of clarity, even Chantal. It's breaking the cycle of addiction that's much harder, obviously.

Oh I don't actually think Gene wants to be genuinely sober, if he did he would have stayed in rehab, or with his family in Texas. Why did he move all this way to be with Jen? Because Jen isn't going to push him to get sober, like his family would. A sign of a good lolcow is the dislike of being told what to do, and I am sure Gene is sick of his dad and sister telling him to get it together and dry up. Gene isn't quite the train wreck that Jen is, but given time, she will bring out the worst in him, and we will have front stage seats to the blow up.

Great angle Jen, love seeing your Slaton forehead.

Also Gene needs to cut those curly locks, the only reason he grew his hair out, was because he told Jen he would if she kept to her diet(she likes the curls), but this moo-moo hasn't lost any weight.
