Holy shit this went from 1 to 100 in record speed. Nan is fucked. Looking forward to how this becomes a permanent and recurring source of trauma for Chloe. How will she go about monetising this? How many alters will arrive out of thin air to protect her from triggers like sneezing? Lol.
Nina will be back to handle the sneezing from now on
That's why I never understood mental support groups. What exactly did people expect that if the put a bunch of sick people together they somehow heal each other.
A lot of people with mental health disorders have trouble building relationships because they have difficulty relating to others. Therapy with a professional teaches them new behavior and helps process trauma, but group therapy helps people connect with people they can actually relate to. It gives them a space to build relationships in a healthy way, putting into practice skills and behaviors learned in therapy. It's partly practice for their life outside of group, and partly a place to feel validated and understood in a way that is very cathartic. In group the overwhelming sense of shame and burdening tends to disappear because of the fact that others have similar stories and struggles.
Group therapy is usually pretty well vetted, so you avoid the voyeurs and the fakers. This is the problem with doing this online and literally into the void. You can't vet anyone.
