Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

The more time goes on, the more Im convinced that the Disney trilogy was a laundry money scheme. I mean, those gigantic budgets being pointlessly wasted so so much unnecessary expenses just make me refuse to believe they wasted all that money, they had to have pocketed a good chunk of it while telling the IRS they used it all in the movies (and bribing whatever motherfucker decides to poke his nose into it).

Also Im still a bit depressed that we may never see Alita Battle Angel 2, maybe it aint star wars but is Disney...as in its all their fucking fault it may not happen (especially after Alita ended being thorn on the side of Captain Marvel, their "ideal woman" icon).

With that said, Im almost glad the entertainment industry is dying faster than ever, I feel like this is the reset button we have been asking for decades. Disney will be severely weakened by this as they always have worked on short term gain, so now something like this happens, their bubble will pop. The Post Endgame MCU is destined to fail as even hardcore fans of it are jumping ship as it just doesnt seem as engaging anymore and with high feminism focus (because Disney refuses to learn their lesson, Chris Chan learns faster than them).

Is it just me or does Filoni kind of look like Darksydephil

"I need that Ahsoka, I really do. I need it to write my seasons. *snort and burps* "

So is the father ashamed of the son, or is the son trying to not be the father?
Until such time as Dave Filoni accidentally livestreams himself jacking off to Ashoka getting anally raped by space wolves and/or gets into debt. and handles the legal proceedings in the most incompetent way ever I'd say the former

Well given the way Disney finances are, the debt thing may not be off the table yet....

Our dear buddy Scott Mendelson believes Paramount is helping Disney prompt Avatar 2 and Indy 5 by having Titanic and the first and third Indy movie aired on CBS next month.

So by that logic, wouldn’t Netflix helped promote Plan IX by showing Marriage Story?

My pitch for the PT would have the Republic fighting the Mandalorians. The Jedi have to use experimental cloning technology because there's not enough of them. They win the war, but the Jedi clones go mad and start a second war. The Jedi order is decimated, and the faith outlawed by the new Emperor. Anakin, now called Darth Vader, is sent to kill the few who remain. He doesn't know Padme is pregnant, and the two are separated at the end because he sided with the Emperor, who destroyed Naboo as part of false-flag plot to elevate him to power in the first place.

I'll admit while I was upset at the shafting of the Expanded Universe, I was thrilled to see The Force Awakens, not knowing the sequel trilogy would turn into a train wreck.
I was uopset at the eu getting thrown out but was willing to approach it with an open mind. I enjoyed force Awakens and rogue One. 2017 was when the cracks started emerging for me but I still held on. Then TLJ happened which was a complete wakeup call.

I wish I could've shared that optimism, but it died for me just as quickly as Disney rolled out its first major SW media before TFA. When they initiated the retcon and ended old stuff in 2014, I was naturally bummed and thought Disney would take the cheapest and laziest story telling route, and this was only made worse by finding out that EA would get the game rights, but I remained optimistic because I thought that maybe, just maybe, they would clean house by recanonizing only the best stuff and remove unpopular shit like the Sun Crusher/Jedi Academy and Jedi Prince stuff, or maybe even rewrite them to not suck. And in November 2014 the first Disney novel comes out, and its the Tarkin novel by my favorite SW author, James Luceno, and its filled to the brim with all the things I enjoyed and it even implied that Genndy Wars, many of the best novels, comics and games were all still canon by referencing characters and events from them, and the novel was great, so maybe they were going to correct shit and things wouldn't be too bad... And maybe EA would let Bioware make KOTOR3... but no less then a few months later, all hell breaks lose; the Kennedy Story Group team is revealed, EA announces a mediocre remake of Battlefront, Chuck Wendig releases his story breaking atrocities, Dark Horse ends and fucking Marvel takes their place, Paul S. Kemp goes full woke and attacks fans, Pablo Hidalgo turns into a massive cunt, fart books, Aladdin's Rebels is revealed (magic slingshots and all...), mobile gacha crap out the wazoo, JJ and the gang start virtue signaling, the fandom starts becoming an unrecognizable mess, they cancel Filoni Wars for no other reason than being too violent, they refuse to fund or bring back unfinished projects like Underworld, 1313, BF3, the Hyperspace site, SW magazines, etc etc. The rot was there from the get go but nobody wanted to see it because they were too enthralled by nostalgia and references. And the movies ended up adapting the worst parts of Jedi Academy and Jedi Prince no less! There were actually people (even here on the farms early on) who would actually defend Wendig's crap by claiming that its critics were alt-right trolls angry about nonbinary trannies with gold hair. It was a dark time to be the only one not wearing rose-tinted glasses as Disney was slowly tearing SW apart while everyone was too busy thinking about Emo Ren, Snoke theories and Reylo.

I'd hate add to add to this but...

There is an awful lot of wolf on man violence in Aladdin's Rebels... So its kind of hard to deny. He claims a lot of his "inspiration" comes from Princess Mononoke (his "favorite movie of all time"), claiming that Ahsoka was based on the titular princess and that the wolves being a "cosmic linchpin" and embodiment of the Force is supposed to be a reference to their important role as nature spirits in Monoke, even though that feels like forcing in a completely different set of rules and lore into an unrelated setting simply because he has a really weird fixation to that film. Even the Gods of SW in Aladdin's Rebels now have some sort of prominent relationship with wolves despite that never being a thing in any media, not even Filoni Wars until now. Ahsoka's role as a divine savior of sorts is also based on Monoke's role, as well as Gandalf, with him even claiming that the film is a matriarchal take back of male storytelling or something that he wants more stories in Disney Wars to be about. Even the wolves in Aladdin's Rebels are straight up ripping the designs of the wolves in the film and their over realistic design really clashes with the ridiculously simplistic design of everything else in the show, so you can tell Filoni put more importance on these than necessary. And before anyone claims I'm needlessly hating on the guy or wishing he dies, I'm not. I'm just pointing out the info and that he needs to tone it down on the wolves and favoritsm, as that's what lead to Karen Traviss and Kevin J. Anderson (for his weird favoritsm towards Natasi Daala) getting a lot of criticism back in the day. Also RK Outpost made a video on Filoni's anti-Luke and pro-Kennedy comments.
Are the wolves that important in Princess Mononoke? Sure they're wolf gods but they're also pig gods and other animals - the wolves act a lot more jungle book than 'spiritual linchpin' - and as far as a matriarchy goes San is kinda of a bitch and the woman general is the reason the forest god nearly kills everything. Honestly Ashitakas' the real hero of the story.

Which is honestly what I find most odd of why he put the wolves front and center. Even the most important spirit/deity in Mononoke isn't even a wolf, its a large deer that can turn into a cosmic giant. Although Aladdin's Rebels does add a giant turtle moose thing as the embodiment of the Gray Side of the Force... Not sure if that counts.

I'm honestly not even sure what they're trying to do with this guy since he hasn't been relevant in anything Disney Wars again, and Filoni Wars already established that the "Father" entity was the neutral linchpin. So what's the point of this guy other than to be a random teacher for Ahsoka and the blind what's his face? Oddly enough the name they picked for him here "Bendu" which Disney claims means "balance or gray" was actually the name of the Bendu Monks who started the jedi in old canon rather than the name for a giant moose thing. Yet Hidalgo's questionable and pointless Plan IX guide tries to retcon Bendu back to its old meaning, so I'm befuddled even more as to what the point of this guy even is anymore, if he still exists and what they're trying to do here.

I think Filoni ( or whoever writes those episodes ) is just bad at lore building. Even in the Mortis arc they muddle it, where balance is achieved after killing the light, dark and grey avatars of the force.

All right since Im bored Im going to present the magical hypothetical scenario where Im appointed head of Lucasfilm.

Here are the first 10 steps I'd take. I'll come up with more when i have the time.

1. Fire Kathleen Kennedy, Rian Johnson, JJ Abrams, Chuck Wendig, Matt Matin, and all the other SJWs from Lucasfilm. Keep Pablo and Filoni but on probation

2. Hire George Lucas as a consultant

3. Cancel every Star Wars show and Movie related to Star Wars except for the Mandalorian.

4. Cancel Indiana Jones 5. No more Indy films ever (Books, Comics, and Games are ok though)

5. Cancel High Republic

6. Begin making covert plans to break away from Disney

7. Convince George to give us the non edited Orignal Trilogy

8. Enact harsh penalties for any employees who act like assholes on social media (Or at the very least encourage them to set up sockpuppet accounts where they can act like assholes all they want as long as they keep it seperate from their main account and keep their identities hidden)

9. Renegotiate the deal with EA so they are not the sole holders of the Star wars Video Game Liscense. Begin work into reviving scrapped game concepts. Also release more Classic Star Wars Games on Modern Consoles

10. Bring Back Legends

Bretty based. But chances are the employees would start some sort of hate campaign against you, labeling you a bigot for axing Kennedy.

Anyway, it seems Boyega took another jab at Disney Wars and people are mad. This started after Oscar Isaac was revealed to be a part of the new Dune shit... Can't wait to see how they fuck that up like so many other franchises these last few years...

You were far more optimistic than I ever was.

I actually was mildly excited for TFA. Even bought a ticket to the midnight screening on opening day.

Despite it being midnight, I was actually very close to walking out the theatre entirely halfway through. (I think it was around the time the Republic was shown to be only five planets and got exploded by a FTL laser. Somehow. Don't question it plebs.) Even then, I could see the classic JJ sleight of hand of making things happen conveniently and not explaining anything ever. The Rey-hate didn't come till later, but I remember thinking Ford the geriatric had more on-screen charisma than the rest of the supposed new stars. And he fucking died like a bitch at the end anyway.

I remember feeling pretty much the same, expecting the worst (which I thought would only amount to further dumbing down and kiddie-proofing the franchise, how optimistic of me) and hoping for them to at least trim off all the Jaxxon-tier bullshit (ironic, since he's been recanonized) and to loosen EA's grip on the license. Instead, Disney's very first objective was to fuck up everything I liked best about SW (books, games and comics). Then they came after the movies.

When I read the first TFA leaks, I was cautiously optimistic in thinking Disney would at least go the safe route with the movies, combining elements from Legends (2013) (Solo descendant, quest to return lost saber, black imperial knight guy) with Caedus and Jaina's story lines to make something that would please both the older and newer fanbase while polishing the source material's rough edges. Then the trailer came out which contradicted a lot of the leaks and blew up most of my hopes for the movie. And then I saw the movie itself, a boring, dumber retread of ANH, and out went my hopes and expectations for the entire damn franchise.

First thing the Disney-Lucasfilm tards flipping did as TFA approached release was announce that they wanted to recanonize Jaxxon and keep Stewjon... and they did. The red flags were all over the place. And pre-Disney SW stuff that a-holes like HelloGreedo would constantly shit on, like Skippy (which wasn't even canon to begin with), was made canon again under Disney but taken more seriously where he is now dubbed "The Legendary Red One", yet they don't utter a peep against Disney because they spent so much time praising them that they know they would look like complete hypocrites if they backtracked now, despite having no trouble being critical when George was in charge. The Disney cult mentality really is something else.
