Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Technically most of her character comes from the comics. Even most of her personality in Filoni Wars' comes from them. Including half of her backstory. The weird witches of Dathomir arc was written by George's daughter which retconned her into being a member of Maul's species for some reason and the daughter of witches, however one of the secondary writers was able to keep part of her original backstory and her jedi mentor intact, so the end result is like a weird amalgamation that retcons her homeworld and species by tying her to Maul for reasons that don't really amount to anything since the two never really click.
Wait... THAT'S what happened? In one of his first Clone Wars videos, SFDebris went over that retcon (9:30 mark, but you'll miss a lot of quality humor along the way).
And it was so stupid I thought he must have misunderstood or I missed something.

How did I see it put once? "He was great at fixing things. The problem is that he never knew when to stop and would keep trying to fix the things that were now working."

The problem is that the story wants us to agree with her and to be fair, its not entirely wrong...however, you would think Ahsoka be aware that the Jedi are still trying their best for the most part. Especially after she had such close relations with Anakin and Obi-Wan. Usually when the plot wants to call out the Jedi, it has an argument and examples, Ahsoka doesnt, which in turn makes her come off as arrogant and twat-ish. As if leaving the order left her with no leash and guidance and thus her old arrogant self would suddenly take over again.
It weakens her character and the plot in general. It feels very...hum...how do I put it...

Except they would never show Ahsoka as a loser tity drinker, that would be sexist or something...

Im getting tired of SW plots throwing the "the jedi are evil/should end" without having a proper argument for it besides that they were arrogant (even tho we are shown a lot that they are still trying their best...)
I think Filoni might of fed The Jedi are evil dogma to Rian Johnson, the last Filoni Wars episode and his comments about Luke Skywalker and the patriarchy are leading me to believe this.

They took the lesson of the PT while ignoring the OT, which is that Luke Skywalker reformed the Jedi. In one of his many interviews, Lucas said Luke went on to be the greatest Jedi of all time. That is still canon to me.

Exactly, Luke Skywalker is still the definitive Jedi of the entire order, Roundhead Johnson and Feloni be damned

Then we have Obi Wan Kenobi saying they have to go to Coruscant to protect it, and like in one of those Sjw comics Ahsoka lectures them that they don't care about the common people and they should go with her to protect Mandalore, because according to her they only want to help for politics. If we didn't waste time with Martez sisters, maybe I could understand her point more and why she's gets along so well with Bo-Katan, but she just comes across as snooty and full of herself, the episode portrays her as more mature and wise than Anakin.
Remember that Bo-Katan is a fucking terrorist. But god forbid Anakin and Obi-Wan protect that Republic's capital and attempt to end the war in one decisive move.

EDIT: Also, how many times did Anakin refuse to leave her behind and stick his neck out for her throughout the series, despite the Jedi claiming that he was too attached? Crazy for Ahsoka to throw that trait of Anakin's in his face now.

Makes you wonder what the script for the show was like before Disney took over and had Filoni rewrite the script.

The memes are Golden though

I just wanted to see the Crystal Crisis on Utapau arc be completed instead, given the limited number of episodes. 🤷‍♂️

Ahsoka comes off as a disgusting hypocrite.
In fact, I can just imagine her fight with Vader after she says "not this time"

He gets quiet....remembers she was a bratty ungrateful bitch with him despite all he has done

She deserves this

"Then you will die!"

That could of been done in two episodes instead of four, also after seeing that Grievous model, I do want to see the Utapau arc fully animated now.

A big one is the Clones being compelled to perform Order 66 because of brainwashing chips implanted in their brain. This contradicts most previous portrayals of Order 66, and seems to simply be the case because Filoni needed an easy answer for why his beloved clones didn't join the jedi purge
I have mixed feelings over the chip. On one side, not having them shows the utter ultimate loyalty they had for the republic, or rather, who is in charge of it. So much that any friendship and loyalty they had for the Jedi doesnt compare. Its like a dog, a dog may have love for other dogs but it will always obey its owner. So when the owner says "attack" to the friend dog, a trained dog will not hesitate.
On the other side, the chips arent bad concept wise, they feel like a "just in case". Tho it sort of weakens what I previously stated about loyalty, now you gotta have a shock collar on the dog for him to actually do what you are told.
I feel like Palpy would be smart to install a safe guard just in case something happens but the series treats it as the solo reason as to why the clones would do it, as if to say there are no clones who are utterly loyal to the republic and republic only.

The clones were designed with changes to make them loyal and able to take "any order without question" (That quote is straight from Episode 2, which I think is an actually good bit of foreshadowing). You can take that in any way. I'd like to think of the clones being indoctrinated to betray the jedi, so only those that developed strong connections to their jedi generals wouldn't have executed Order 66.

This was seemingly the case in at least 2 or so stories and the Battlefront II storyline before Disney. When some clone squads (specifically those who had served and survived under one jedi general from start to finish) received word of Order 66, they were fully aware of what the 150 orders were, but members of each squad came to their own conclusion; one squad believed this must be an error or a CIS sabotage, while another squad believed the order but they were reluctant to believe that their jedi commander was a traitor and instead wanted to believe that their general was probably ignorant of "what the Jedi order had done". So both squads tried to save their commanders but ended up paying the ultimate price for their insubordination, as the more obedient and younger troopers among them killed their brothers. If I remember right, only 5 or 6 jedi were actually saved by their troopers (and 3 or 4 of them died later by Vader's hand), while the other few survivors only made it out by killing their troopers, hiding from them or by not taking part in the war at the time. The primary cause for their defiance was that they viewed their commanders as the closest things they had to parental figures, with their commanders treating them like padawans or family. The Battlefront II storyline had the usually cold and uncaring main trooper narrator show some regret over having to kill Aayla Secura, hoping that he could make her death as quick as possible to spare her from any suffering.

As such, I don't think a chip would even have been necessary since the Kamino education facility was their entire lives before they were shipped onto the battlefield. Its all they ever knew so of course they would gladly obey and believe everything that was given to them (not to mention they lack the age and experience to know better). Everything they learned there was hotwired into them by the strictest education and brainwashing methods, not just to betray the jedi but genetically engineered and indoctrinated for max loyalty and believing that all orders are for the best. Some orders not only included killing the jedi, but some involved killing all senators, the chancellor, and even suicide. It was a twisted yet believable scenario, and as we saw and read in much SW media the Kaminoans were cold and fucked up like that. With mentions and stories of Kaminoans "taking away" young clones who couldn't follow orders or score high enough points in tests for "re-education" only to never be seen again, either to be experimented on, turned into slave labor or sold for cheap. Kaminoans would even eliminate their own children over the slightest "defect" like unusual eye colors. Emotional Kaminoans were rare as fuck, and only a very small few ever actually held anything akin to fondness for their clone "children". Anyway, its quite clear that even in Filoni Wars this brain chip thing was a last minute decision since the Umbara Arc clearly showed otherwise near the end. And while the ROTS video game shows Kenobi using Mind Tricks to help the clones "fight their programming", even that could be taken as him believing they've been controlled since he himself is probably ignorant of why they've become hostile. Although chances are that Order 66 might've functioned as some sort of brainwashing trigger word.

It's been officially confirmed J.J. Abrams is ready to ruin Justice League.

Also were possibly getting more Filoni Wars episodes.

If they actually adapt the Boba vs Cad Bane episodes they better not censor that shit or give kid Boba a slingshot or a toyetic non-gun shaped weapon. And if they actually adapt the unfinished scripts then does that mean they'll do the Vong arc? If they do what will even be the point? The point of the episode was to allude to the NJO series and the future threat these monsters pose. But they don't do jack shit in Disney and are instead replaced by the Grysk and the First Failures. Then again, the unreleased episodes have changed and censored quite a lot, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Vong are replaced by the Grysk or proto-Snoke clones...

Yes I do hope they let Boba keep his gun, and do not nerf the violence in Son of Dathomir, I mean I don't think they'll show blood, but they might tone down Talzin's death and the many deaths shown in the episode, or cut them out all together which is worse.

I heard that Filoni will do less over seeing which may be a good or a bad thing, I just hope it's someone like Greg Weisman and not one of those diversity hires at Lucasfilm.

The chip or the brainwashing at least makes sense as for why the clones prioritize killing the jedi as soon as they get Order 66. In ROTS, Ki-Adi-Mundi and Aayla Secura get gunned down even though the Separatists are within shooting distance. Not to mention that when the clones receive their orders, Palpatine looks different and sounds different.

The best way to get the clones to kill the jedi would be a preprogrammed signal that was with them from the very start.
