All those people working for basically the primary employer on the planet deserved to die because the upper management were a combination of evil and ignorant. The terrorist with the gun arm said so! By this logic Cloud, Cid, Reeve, and Vincent all need to die too since they once cashed Shinra paychecks.
"I don't care how many innocent people suffer so long as the people I dislike or more likely people barely related to them are hurt I'm happy" seems like a bitter way to get through life. I also like the way they say 1997 disk 2 like they don't expect Barrett's will have any sort of develpment in the remake or realize his terrorism didn't do anything besides kill innocent people while Shinra ignored him.

For all their fear of bitter loners shooting up movie theaters, they're closer to doing it themselves with their incredibly angry and divisive worldview where it's okay to blow up a boatload of people... at least one of them was probably related to a Trump supporter.... there are no innocents..... and they're not a monster, they're just ahead of the curve....
On a less repugnant note, this is exactly how blockchains work, not only do we have to get rid of our enemies, we have to get rid of all they have even touched....
