Victor David Hansen appeared on Uncommon Knowledge this week. He's a Stanford Professor and articulated the main points of this thread.

TL;DR - China did this, we must divest and isolate them. There are 4 main challenges to divesting, they will take time and effort to accomplish. Policy must adapt to this new way of thinking, and there are no sacred cows.

His words inspired me. Worth watching and sharing.

What I see over and over again is that there are three specific countries whose response to the virus is decried as a "disaster".

Sweden
UK
USA

Seldom any criticism of Italy, France and Spain despite them all having 20000+ death tolls.

Because they only decry the ones being "soft", personally I think spain should've started locking down earlier and then we wouldn't have needed to lock down as hard. But it was overall not atrocious. I'd say the UK has done admirably, despite a few issues here and there. I have many issues with how certain USA governors have done things. I'd say the jury's still out on sweeden, and france is the one I'd say has screwed the fucking pooch. But in the end pop density seems to be the heaviest factor and that was to be expected. I do however want to point out the strange issue of the non-corona deathcount and think we should be comparing by how much total (non corona included) deaths have increased since this flu season. Because the flu season was also weird as fuck and taking into account lack of deaths in cadiz I almost swear at least part of the carnaval flus were corona.

I can see why the idiot mob hates Sweden because of their refusal to lockdown and Orange Man Bad explains the complaining about the USA but what did the UK do wrong? If I were Boris I'd have locked down maybe a week earlier and probably lifted the lockdown maybe a couple of weeks earlier but the UK has a draconian lockdown which seems to be the sacrifices the mob demands of people. You can't blame a country for the rains not coming if their high priests sacrificed as many people as they could atop the pyramid.

Yeah, your track record with "evidence" is so shoddy that it cost you hundreds of millions of dollars in funding. That's some lovely panic-mongering you've got there, but I have no interest whatsoever in anything else that your organization has to say.

According to these people he locked too late and the lockdown is too soft. Also theh hate Boris as much as Trump and Brexit Island Bad.

I do want to point out, UK lockdown is fucking soft compared with spain and Italy. But honestly. It's more draconian than what you need. And it's not been implemented that late all things considered. I mean. Your healthcare system was nowhere near as close to collapse as ours. No need to protect it as much then. I do wonder how the fuck your deaths keep platoing though. That's a bit worrysome. But it sure as shit has nothing to do with people going fucking trekking or buying "non essential" things. No one got infected by fucking daisies.

Someone needs to explain to the OMS what antibodies are. Also I'd like to remind y'all I literally hauled a covid patient in my fucking t-shirt and all I got was a free shower. So if that ain't proof of immunity I don't know what is. Anecdotal evidence aside. We have not recorded a single fucking reinfection in spain. I'd say that's proof enough taking into account how immunized doctors are acting about PPE and the sheer number of infected people in the country.

The UK gets shit on mainly for the fact that their original response was similar to Sweden's.

If it worked, why wouldn't we have locked down the eliminate the flu years ago and saved potentially millions of lives long term? The flu kills 650,000 people per year according to wikipedia. If locking down elminated a virus and future mutations, why wouldn't we have had a hard lock down for the flu and save over six million lives over the course of a decade?
Flu circulates in pigs and fowl as well as humans and pandemic flu is generally when a novel pig or bird virus jumps into humans, so lockdown wouldnt halt flu.

your point is still valid as a general question for diseases in general of course.

TLDR; Get yourself one of these bad boys off Amazon for $20 ("oximeter"), if rich feel feel to pay more for medical grade device or splurge on one of these new fancier smart watches with "SpO2 sensor".
Use it daily and if your blood oxygen level drops below 90, try to get to hospital, start logging the oximeter readings in addition to other symptoms and keep pestering them daily, if you can't.

Just to add, you can also get these at drugstores like Walgreens, big box stores like Walmart and Target, and at larger grocery stores.

I heard the Pope is calling for prayers for funeral home and death industry workers.

Thanks I guess?

We are processing samples now. Still low on PPE throughout the hospital system. People that were put on the vent, still on or dead.

Watching the rural counties now- all latest cases have come from them.

in michigan it's now illegal (or at least grounds to get kicked out) to not wear a facemask in walmart. I know, I know, precautions are important but this quarantine is driving people up the goddamn wall. How much longer before people are pushed to be civilly disobedient (more) out of pure spite?

In Michigan? The Civil Disobediance started weeks ago and has been steadily ramping up. The Governor is facing so many lawsuits that she is now attempting to shut down the courts by executive order. The Cops are steadily telling her to Fuck Right Off. At least the Sheriff's.

How accurate is exactly the notion that 6-8 weeks of total lockdown will "exterminate" the virus?

It's pure undiluted garbage. If you lockdown for 6-8 weeks all you will have done is delay the hit for 6-8 weeks. The only way out is via herd immunity. The Lockdowns are to simply slow the spread enough that it doesn't overwelm the ENTIRE Health Care system. Yeah 3-4 Hospitals in New York City getting hammered while other Hospitals in New York State are laying off 300+ Health Care Providers is not stressing the System. As long as there is sufficient hospital capacity we should begin opening and allowing the herd immunity to build, while avoiding large close contact gatherings.

The newscaster can't hide his glee when badmouthing the CCP. So I'm fairly sure if the table wasn't there we'd see he's sporting a considerable hateboner. But he does fetch all the intel he can and to be fair, it's hard not to be biased against the CCP after analyzing how they handled this.
The China Uncensored guy always sounds like he is creepily gleeful and sporting a massive errection under the table. Which often takes away from the fairly good research they do. Even if it is from a one sided opinion. Recognize its biases, but dont completely dismiss it because of the weirdly leering and creepy host.

Meat of the matter:
...
Normal blood-oxygen levels are around 97%, Moss said, and it becomes worrisome when the numbers drop below 90%. At levels below 90%, the brain may not get sufficient oxygen, and patients might start experiencing confusion, lethargy or other mental disruptions. As levels drop into the low 80s or below, the danger of damage to vital organs rises.
...
However, patients may not feel in as dire straits as they are. A lot of coronavirus patients show up at the hospital with oxygen saturations in the low 80s but look fairly comfortable and alert, said Dr. Astha Chichra, a critical care physician at Yale School of Medicine. They might be slightly short of breath, but not in proportion to the lack of oxygen they're receiving.

I had mentioned this earlier, but if you have a local Ollie's they have a clearance batch of Homedics Pulse Oximeters in their front cabinets for $9.99. They work fine, but you may need to replace the manufacturers cheap assed chinese battery.

Waiting for the official studies to be published on this one.

Getting kind of sick of the way articles are written these days, I'd almost just prefer dry-fact vomit at this point over "narratives"

I'm also increasingly sick of that prose. So looking through the article. It says around 12 patients per location are getting strokes. Now. I should mention. This is frankly not that many. It's a bit worrying at first glance but when you take into account how many people get covid, it's a statistical anomaly.

So once that's pointed out. Let's get to the meat. Can the flu cause strokes? Not that many, but if the patient's already harmed the stress from the disease can cause as much, specially if it gets a cytokine storm. Though certainly not a cascading stroke miasma like what they describe, that's science fiction unless you have some issues far more serious than covid.

Now. As far as I'm aware from what I've asked. Here in spain we're not seeing nearly as many strokes as in burgerland. Despite the fact that even in burgerland they're not that many. And you might wonder why. Until I mention a massive co-morbidity for strokes that can heavily accelerate their appearance even on otherwise healthy individuals on its own is *drumroll* OBESITY. Yep. They keep pointing out the age but never show any photos or give the patient's name. Wanna know why? Data protection law. But also, deathfats. They're all deathfats. The wuhan flu ain't causing the strokes. It's just helping the real mvp fat-chan.
