What is/was your pulse ox??
I cannot remember the exact number right now but I do remember it fluctuating throughout the 20 minute stay. At admission it was pretty low, then it almost went to normal but tanked again not long after. I'll have to find the discharge papers to get the exact numbers, but pretty much they just monitored and waited until it was close to being normal again to send me home.

What about pulse rate? I've read that infected people can have increased heart rates and palpitations.

Anyone else notice lately that a lot of messaging primarily targeted at normies towing the line "things are gonna change moving forward" commercials, news networks and interviews with people like bill gates. Seems pretty ominous if you ask me. This is not just the USA either. Future is gonna be fucked up for sure.

I think if your oxygen saturation drops your heart rate goes up to try to get more blood through your lungs and thus more oxygen. It's a control system and it tries to compensate for bad lung function by jacking your heart rate up. I found an article a while back which says

https://kiwifarms.net/threads/wuhan-coronavirus-megathread.65421/page-1257#post-6240337

The researchers found that some signs and symptoms were more common in patients who turned out to have pneumonia. These were a temperature higher than 37.8°C, a crackling sound in the patient’s lungs, a pulse rate of more than 100 beats per minute, and oxygen saturation in the blood lower than 95%. They found that 86.1% of patients with pneumonia exhibited at least one of these signs.

So fever, crackling sound in lungs, pulse over 100, and oxygen saturation below 95% are all signs of pneumonia.

Interesting essay from a restaurateur in New York. It sounds like even if she could re-open, she might not even do it. It sort of reminded me of this classic Onion article -

It's because they're red pilled and based.

Funnily enough, the Guardian just run an article on how the same people who objected to shutting down the economy due to hysterical coverage of cherry-picked computer models that exaggerated the dangers of climate change are also objecting to shutting down the economy due to hysterical coverage of one computer model that exaggerated the dangers of coronavirus.

It's like these people don't like it when the Guardianistas come up with excuses to shut down the economy something.

It's interesting to see now the antibody tests are starting to demonstrate what a lot of us theorized about before hand, that this thing was more widespread than anyone really realized. The asymptomatic cases are beginning to demonstrate a good amount of promise, of course the MSM is going to spin the "OH GAWD THE LIFE LONG CONDITIONS" narrative to scare the shit out of people further. Then we'll probably see some more @Drain Todger pop up on the board.

I don't really have all that many updates except shit is still closed and they are slowly beginning to have talks about a soft reopen here in Ontario. I am hoping that is the case, because being on perma-house arrest really sucks. Hope everyone is doing well and is avoiding the coof.

“I seek truth”

Apparently he doesn’t seek it in medical journals and other scientific literature, lmao.

How fucking stupid to you have to be to not believe germs are what make us sick?

Dude, I am leaving the minute I get a job somewhere else, maybe Flagstaff AZ , Amarillo TX or thereabouts. Living in a city on the West/East Coast without a car is not in my future.

Amen to that. Without PL'ing depending on what happens over the next month or so I very well may be doing the same thing. If my job goes, I'm will take it as a sign to fuck staying in NY or the Northeast (or any blue state) in general.

1) That phone desperately needs to be charged, I swear people take screenshots with low battery just to trigger me.

2) So how do germs spread then, if it's not outside the body? You accidentally shove your finger in someone's nostril and instantly get infected? Or do they believe every time they get sick it's a pox cast upon them by god himself?

3) Howdy, friendo. ❤

Meat of the matter:
...
Normal blood-oxygen levels are around 97%, Moss said, and it becomes worrisome when the numbers drop below 90%. At levels below 90%, the brain may not get sufficient oxygen, and patients might start experiencing confusion, lethargy or other mental disruptions. As levels drop into the low 80s or below, the danger of damage to vital organs rises.
...
However, patients may not feel in as dire straits as they are. A lot of coronavirus patients show up at the hospital with oxygen saturations in the low 80s but look fairly comfortable and alert, said Dr. Astha Chichra, a critical care physician at Yale School of Medicine. They might be slightly short of breath, but not in proportion to the lack of oxygen they're receiving.

TLDR; Get yourself one of these bad boys off Amazon for $20 ("oximeter"), if rich feel feel to pay more for medical grade device or splurge on one of these new fancier smart watches with "SpO2 sensor".
Use it daily and if your blood oxygen level drops below 90, try to get to hospital, start logging the oximeter readings in addition to other symptoms and keep pestering them daily, if you can't.
Standard shipping takes nearly two months for that. Just a heads up.
