No, there is literally no feasible way to make this concept work. Not as a horror, not as a black comedy, nothing.
People bring up children of the corn and lord of the flies, but do you know what the difference was in those? A lack of adults. Once you add adults with a 2 - 1 ratio, there’s no way to keep kids in power. Even Enter’s child militia thing wouldn’t work because adults just plain have more experience, stronger bodies, and a higher level of intelligence. Plus, why would you just give up freedom willingly once you get to a certain age?
Any child run society is doomed to fail, and any kids ruling adults fantasy would never work without the magic. Even KND had the adults break slavery by spanking the children. And GA would probably end like Beware Children at Play.
This concept is impossible to work with. Period.

I had to look movie up on wikipedia based on that scene and holy shit. People actually were offended by that level of ham? The music that keeps cutting out and back in? The kids clearly breathing in the shots of their "dead" bodies? That movie came out in 1989! The height of the slasher era! Yeah, it was kids, not 20 somethings pretending to be teens, but even then it was so over the top in it's fakeness that no one in their right mind could have seriously thought that they were really killing kids on screen!

I meant as in did his research and planned his cartoon out more. He should have made a show bible.

His failures start way before that, because Enter has had an utterly impossible goal from the start. His goal has never been “get his concept on the air”, which would be one thing. No, his goal has been “make basically everything himself through crowdfunding”.

Would it be on the air right now? Still, no. Would he at least have something to show for it other than a shitty book and a minute-long animatic? More than likely.

Trying to crowdfund all this himself has ensured that it will never happen, as he has never once had to put in effort on the actual pitch, he thinks he can skip all that and rush right into full production.

Needing to pitch it to a network or streaming service would force him to take feedback on how to improve the fundamentally flawed initial concept to work better with a general audience, actually learn how the fuck pilots are supposed to work, and instead of setting the impossible goal of a 26-minute professionally-animated first episode that by his own horrible estimates would take $370K to finish, he could settle with a small six-to-seven-minute Flash-animated short just to get the concept itself across.

But no, thanks to Hazbin Hotel and Eddsworld, he has it in his head that he can skip all that and somehow source the money for an entire 150+ episode series, completely disregarding how even just the second episode of Hazbin has been in a permanent state of development hell since it was announced.

Well, even by today’s standards it’s certainly a different way to end a movie. Killing kids is still a taboo in media, and this is a full on massacre. But it was definitely people offended by the concept rather than the content itself.

I said that it was MANchildren running the world, not literal children, and that literal children exist solely to be the butts of jokes and a means of pointing out that although people pretend like they never grow up, they're still adults even though they act childishly? That the entire point of this pseudo GA setting is that childhood is irreversibly lost with time, regardless of your activities or refusal to grow up?

The entire concept isn't "children" but "immature people" running the world, with the "matures" as the slave caste. Perhaps it's people with superpowers who are also exceptional individuals, perhaps it's inbred "let them eat cake" tier Hapsburgian monstrosities with piles and piles of money. Perhaps it's just wealthy consoomer manchildren with connections to an unseen elite caste that is surmised to be competent.

The concept of the "immature" running the world is a sound one for black comedy or political satire and it is that concept, not literal children running the world, that can be salvaged from this clusterfuck of GA or Flip Flopped. It is this concept I considered viable, and I do apologize for not being clear about that distinction.
And to that I say, read about king Caligula and how his story ended. It’s only a dystopia until people get fed up with it. So even by that logic, someone like CWC as emperor of the world wouldn’t work as a concept because he would be almost immediately assassinated

the atrocity notepages dont even make sense as in theory a show could get 4/10 for everything (not particularly bad, just a mediocre show) and get 40, which would make it "worse" than Sanjay and craig which he scored in the 30s. but he constantly says sanjay is one of the worst shows ever because one of the metrics, lacklustre writing, is so atrociously bad (to him).

interestingly the thing GA is based on Flip Flopped gets a very low score for the exact same reason - only bad in the writing category.

What you forget is that Caligula, Nero, Commodus, the Hapsburgs, etc... they did have time to rule. These people existed in real life and wouldn't have access to the vast arsenal of fiction to support them. What if CWC really did rule CWCville and drag it into reality? What if there was one world government and there was an elite caste, not quite rulers, but above and beyond the law by being associated with the rulers, and one of those people was a straight up lolcow?

I'm the autist who made an entire analysis of how a non-serious show can get away with impossible bullshit because it doesn't take it seriously. A black comedy, gallows humor, by its definition is not serious and could therefore leverage the concept without worrying about arguments of rebellion. Perhaps the show is following a rebellion and the arguments about rebellions are null and void because rebellions clearly exist in the settings, they just haven't hit critical mass or haven't succeeded due to either supernatural interference or just bad luck.

Again, there are bad ideas but sometimes the concepts behind the ideas behind the idea is fundamentally sound and just in need of tweaking. I'm not arguing that Enter has in any way a show capable of using the "immature people rule the world" concept effectively at all, because he has there be no consequence to the fact that children rule the world, and no justifications as to why they do outside of a flimsy argument revolving around threats that seemingly no longer exist within his setting. I am saying that with effort, creativity, and a copious amount of bleak comedy, something could actually be salvaged of this whole mess.

And all of those people lead to the destruction of the dynasty. Immature rulers inevitably fall, and in the case of Caligula to Nero, the dynasty went to shit in a very very short amount of time.
Your concept is basically take Our Cartoon President but as a serious story instead of a comedy.
This has nothing to do with enter, it’s just a bad concept being worked on by a bad writer. And once you take the kids out of it and make them manchildren, you’ve essentially killed the entire concept anyway.

The concept is to make it a comedy, a bleak and dark comedy. It's not serious at all and I've pointed that out multiple times. This is the biggest failing of Growing Around. Forget Enter at all. Forget his weird fetishes or his terrible work ethic or his lack of skills or connections at all. The failure of GA is that it is SERIOUS with this concept. If you take this concept and play it for comedy it could actually be hilarious, twisted, and dark. My other comments about manchildren getting into knife fights over tendies, a goddamn assassination attempt on God-Emperor Chris-Chan, the collapse of society, etc. are entirely for the sake of humor. The comedy comes from the fact that actual adults are sucked into a world that is the embodiment of a lolcow fantasy and must deal with the dysfunction of it all.

The entire point of this is that the concept can be salvaged but only if it's taken in the exact opposite direction from what Enter is trying to do with it. Silly instead of serious, R rated instead of PG, gory and blunt about everything and unafraid to tackle the most disgusting shit and play it for laughs. These posts were to demonstrate that when you break down a setting enough, no matter how flawed, you might be able to take some concepts and turn them into something that, if not great, is at least good.

I took the concept of "kids run the world" and tweaked it slightly to "idiots/the immature run the world" for the sake of a thought experiment, an admittedly autistic one, where I was attempting to say that there is no such thing as total garbage from top to bottom, and that something can always be salvaged from even the worst of media.

That‘s basically the movie idiocracy, which is so far removed from the concept that it isn’t the same ballpark anymore.

On the fundamental level, it actually isn't as far removed as you think it is. Idiocracy is idiots rule the world. GA is kids rule the world. Breaking the idea down to it's fundamental level, it is "group not fit to rule the world rules the world." Where Idiocracy succeeds and GA fails is that Idiocracy was never under any illusions that the world it created was a paradise or even a good place to live.

That has been my point this whole time.

Idiocracy is a comedic take on the stereotypical cyber punk dystopia. The people were dumbed down by consumerism and brands rule the world. Hence why everyone drank sports drinks instead of water and Carl’s Jr. Was allowed to remove children from unfit parents.
Without the close to home social commentary, idiocracy would not have worked. And none of it had any relation to the kids ruling the world.

The bare bones idea of the kids ruling the world is “what would things look like if a child’s mind designed everything”, not “what if incompetent people had all the power.” And both fall apart with the existence of a surplus of normal people who could revolt.

Your idea of CWCville where the autistic is in charge, as you described it, has no basis and would just bean incoherent mess. A “wacky for the sake of wacky” scenario where the normal people exist solely to point out how wacky everything is. Basically a way more autistic Rick and Morty episode.

Fuck, I'm in the autism vortex and wanted to keep doubling down on my position. This is how a halal thread is born.

Nah, you didn’t alog, power level, or say anything especially exceptional. Plus, you have self-awareness.
I'm autistic enough to be on the Kiwi Farms, but not so autistic that I'd fail here. Posting "I might shit my pants, but at least I'm not a fuckup on the level of Entard" is something that requires actually negative self awareness.

If this thread has taught me anything, it’s that I tend to bring out the autism in people

We’ve had way worse then you, don’t worry. But at the same time I wonder if that’s a bad thing

To be fair I think autistic people gravitate toward hating or liking Mr. Enter since he's a cartoon reviewer. Most normal people couldn't give a shit about cartoons.

or most people don't give a shit about youtube being a career or hasbin's of the internet like jesse slaughter, Enter or someone else I'm forgetting
