Oh, if they learned more about the USSR. I bet they don't know that the USSR legalized divorce but after 5 years it was so heavily moderated that no one divorced. You know why? If you think it was because women take advantage of divorce you're ded wrong. It was men who took advantage of loose divorce laws. They married a woman, they fucked her a couple of times for a whole season and then they dumped her and married another, popularizing the term "summer wife". This ultimately led to women being economically destitute, forcing most women in rural areas into prostitution to support themselves. Why? Because when they divorced, the women were taken advantage by other people and since they couldn't defend themselves against others wanting their lands or their businesses, they ended up losing everything because they didn't had a man that stood for them.
Seeing how fucked this was, the USSR decided to begin regulating divorces so it was nearly impossible to get one. It is really surprising that every so called "advancement" of the USSR (gay marriage, divorce...) was put in practise and ultimately outlawed due to failure.
Yes, because the armed bodies of the state are supposed to turn a demonstration of heavily armed yet peaceful protesters against a terrible politician who is really umpopular in that state into a bloodbath. Specially when they know they have no chance of winning and that would ultimately lead to many people dead and the public losing faith in their governing bodies and secutiry forces.

Notice the typical sleight of hand here: the original research that came out said that blacks were dying more than whites, but they just-oh-so conveniently extend that to include other minorities, using the acronym "BAME" instead of saying black people or coloured people specifically.
The PhD researcher then bullshits a lot and claims that the government is presenting this as a cultural or behavioral problem. Which is plainly bullshit because all the Youtube doctors have said this is simply because they are more Vitamin D deficient because it's just harder for them to make Vitamin D due to having darker skin, and hence they are more likely to have some kind of underlying anemia which has all sorts of knock-on effects on health. All she has to say to this evident explanation is "WTF?" while rolling her eyes, because obviously she's a doctor and knows all about this shit. She literally rolls her eyes at the likes of Dr. John Campbell telling blacks to take in extra Vitamin D to boost their immune system and prevent coming down with Covid-19.
And remember, Youtube is not going to remove this video from this fucking dumbass (who, again, is not a doctor and is scoffing at actual doctors) for spreading disinfo.
The reason why blacks live in multigenerational housing is because this allows them to pool resources and live cheaply. "Living at my mom's" is a way for them to save money that doesn't go to essentials and hence they have more money to spend.
Also, what the fuck does the fact that doctors do not take delcarations of pain expressed by black patients more seriously have to do with Covid-19? The accute symptoms that cause people to end up in hospitals are objectively observable (like someone having breathing difficulties, coughing up blood or collapsing from a stroke), they're not subjective like "pain".
Then she says that "race is not a biological category, it doesn't have biological consequences". If this is true, how can you make the objective observations that blacks are dying more from Covid-19 than whites? Because race does have biological consequences: if you are black, you are more likely to be Vitamin D deficient which compromises your immune system. I read it differently. My interpretation was that they followed the law and didn't chimp out. Probably not the message intended, but it was my initial take on it.

It's been forever since I read the books or watched the movies, but by these description and from what I've seen I would've assumed they were intended to be Western Asian (like the Persians or Turks), maybe with Indian/South Asian influences as well.
I'm not well versed in LOTR lore but I don't know why to those people, everything seems to come down to being "coded" and projecting their views and not just enjoying fiction for what it is. It's a book series, it's not going to stop prejudice or end all conflict. No need to harass people that disagree with your "analysis".
