No way in hell did they ever think of doing a rework. Main idea being Neil surrounding himself with yes-men, and delays were due to the experienced staff leaving and filling in the spots with new hires. Those mocapped scenes are way too hard to redo, so I'm 100% sure those scenes will be in the game, and the only thing they can possibly do is shifting scenes around to some degree.

What are the chances that if the backlash from fans about the clusterfuck of a story is loud enough and Druckmann gets kicked they issue some kind of apology or acknowledgement? I would say zero since it's a western dev but the devs of We Happy Few made a documentary where half of it was them basically saying "we fucked up, and if we do this again something is fucked in the studio" so who knows.

Never. Sony needs this game to succeed and the only way it will is if they tell Druckman to STFU, stay off social media, any sign of them firing druckman won't happen until after Sony's financials come out and they note "Poor performance in our gaming division which is being recitified by an alignment with current gaming trends" and then ND will get 'reorganized' i.e. heads will roll.
Sony poured 100M into this monster, they can NOT let it NOT make any money.

I bet anything that Cuckmannn killed Joel and (possibly) Ellie to remove any trace of Amy Hennings writing. While she is not credited, its very apparent that she probably was the real tour de force behind Joel and Ellie. Especially judging by the quote in this article and considering the Stronk Black Woman that Cuckmann almost certainly added after her departure.

I disagree. We've heard the "too big to fail" argument for lots of games from Battlefield 5 to Tomb Raider to Dead Space to Mass Effect. Only to be slapped down.
Get woke, go broke doesn't have a 100% success rate, but it's close. I don't agree with the One Angry Gamer definition of woke where every game has to star beefcake white male and his maxim model side kick, or that a game has to completely bomb to be considered a failure.
Even DSP sees through that nonsense.

This troon that's overcharged on roids which I'd imagine would be impossible to get in this mushroomhead zombie apocalypse, just up and and kills the two main characters that made the series... Their bond which supposedly touched gamer's hearts and is so heartwarming gets killed by this dyke that is some super soldier that goes against two characters that literally survived the apocalypse on their own against ACTUAL MILITARY SQUADS - nah man, she super soldier. Troons rise up! Look at muh diversity as I'm the blandest Gary-Anne Sue with zero personality and redeeming quality.
I can't wait for the "Don't like it don't buy it" so everyone can flip them off like we did with BFV.
