It completely removes all actual threat from the Sith, If they are so idiotically pathetic that they can't get their act together for 5 seconds to accomplish something without it then they are one of the most pathetic villain groups in fiction. It makes the Jedi even more useless given that Palpetines entire life's work could have been undone in Phantom Menace if a drunk driver crashed into his house while him and Maul were standing next to each other.Plus I kinda don't mind the reason it exists, at least the EU reason since pure movie it's kinda dumb. Basically it was created because the previous batch of sith were too busy infighting and politicking and killing each other to do anything effectively, the guy who set the rule, Darth Bane didn't want to see that shit happen again after culling the other sith in a mafia style send off.
How convenient that you ignored the part where I mentioned the acolytes helped to sell the idea. Two full trained Sith, and then the acolytes. The acolytes having some training so the Sith can command and plan, as well as to have back ups or cats paws if either or both die.It completely removes all actual threat from the Sith, If they are so idiotically pathetic that they can't get their act together for 5 seconds to accomplish something without it then they are one of the most pathetic villain groups in fiction. I'll spoiler for anyone who wants to see this on their own (or for those that simply don't care).I just finished the last episode of the Ahsoka show, it didn't shoehorn it self that much to Rots, but it was a little underwhelming except for the last scene where Ahsoka and Rex fake their deaths.
Just the movies. All the media Disney made, except Mandalorian, is alternative reality fan fiction crap.Your talking about the movies right and not Filoni Wars, because to me most of that show takes place in an alternate reality.
Yes, Frazetta is my favorite. As a young boy I would stare at those paintings and my imagination would run. Incredible work and he has been heavily copied by many. Whats interesting is to look at the paintings by N.C. Wyeth (the painting in my avatar is one of his civil war ones from the early 1900s) and you can see how much his work influenced Frank. So speaking of fixing High Republic, some friends of mine saw the remade art that made tards cry since it's inspired by Frank Frazetta.
So I showed off some of Frank's works, like these:

Who of course inspired a lot of the old SW posters and was admired by Lucas himself due to his prevalence in drawing sci-fi and pulp from his childhood years:

How dare art actually be fucking good, you know?
Since it's Star Wars Day, what's your favorite Star Wars moment?
I'd say that mine is the Death Star Trench Run, just an incredible, action-packed scene.
Taika Waititi is apparently set to direct a new SW film for theatrical release.
It definitely has more potential for defense thanks to the way the guard is angled. Now that's a cross-guard saber I can get behind, these designs are much better than ones that we got.
You probably missed it but I already covered that Kennedy & friends have already fucked over the Kenobi show. They were originally planning to make it an adaptation of this:Ewan McGregor is great as Obi, he could elevate any of the shite given. Plus, we've seen him alive in four movies, which covered several decades of his life. At no point was he bumbling and incompetent, nor would he put up with being bossed around by a Mary Sue. It can't easily be infected with "Kennedy Star Wars" stuff. Plus, even she must realize how awesome Obi is and wouldn't wanna shit on that.
And they would've had Krayt as the main villain again (which begs a lot of questions since Disney's shit canon no longer allows room for Cade Skywalker or the One Sith to exist), but Kennedy & Friends didn't like the idea so they had the whole thing redone and sent into production limbo because Kennedy really hates the past. She did the same thing to Lord and Miller during the production of Solo. They wanted the film to be a more serious adaptation of Han's Cloud Rider arc mixed with the Solo trilogy of books, and Lord and Miller even wanted to include a cameo of infamous rogue stormtroopers Tag & Bink, but Kennedy and Ron hated it and thought all these things were pointless and so tossed them aside like she did everything else. The Obi-Wan series is my biggest worry. The 20 year gap between RoTS and ANH with him in exile watching over Luke is fertile ground for some great western inspired stories.
The old EU touched upon this and had an excellent stand alone book by John Jackson Miller. Pic below.

From what's understood, Kennedy wanted it focused on sequel shit because she thought SW should be aimed at future fans rather than "50 something" boomers (despite that SW was quite possibly the most popular franchise out there with the widest market appeal), and Iger happily went along with it because he only thinks in statistics and PR, lacking common sense or genuine interest in things. This was back in 2014/2015 when the park first entered development and as I said before, they were overconfident and full of themselves. I'm sure Iger must be fuming and embarrassed at having been gullible enough to go along with Kennedy's idiotic ideas instead of just going with what George wanted, ie 'just take this rough outline or use the old comics and books as source material' as shown here:Didn't we have earlier confirmation that Iger was behind GE stupidity? If they are pushing that onto KK then Disney must be really sick of her, given that Iger is known to be out soon.
In essence...Here's this video about theextended advertisementdocumentary made for Plan 9
I think it's really fascinating how many of the set designers act like they're doing something new and original when all they're doing is lifting shit from the original movies.

But even more fascinating is the word-salad that JJ's co-writer vomits up. It's really, really special.
And so it continues in...And there we have it, the gods and their servants/descendants who ascended to godhood or fell to extinction. The Firstborn and their Precursors were many. Some familiar and some not. But a few notable species are curiously missing, aren't they? Ones that have had profound impact on the Galaxy's future... Yes. What of the Hutts, Sith, Rakata and the Mandalorians? And what of these mysterious and troublesome Zhell mentioned so often in these accounts? And what happened to the Old Ones that would become the Immortal Gods of the Sith? These species are all closely tied together in such a way that sets them apart from the normal Precursors, for their origins are tied to those of the Sith Gods themselves and their dark tale reveals their origins, but their story will have to wait until...

The first was named Tilotny, which in the tongue of the Celestials meant speech, art, and pride, and who was born from Egotism. The second was called Horliss-Horliss, a derivation of one who is outside, timeless and emancipating, and who was born from Remoteness. The third was Cold Danda Sine, which denoted dynamism and change, and who was born from Impatience. And the last was Splendid Ap, a name belonging to the diagnostic principles of time, motion, and space, and who was born from Wutzek's Apathy. By the time he was finished, he sensed something was amiss within these still children of his... He realized the horrible mistake he had made. Creating abominations that were the counter opposite of the Four Precepts, being made from his own darkness rather than his light. He then summoned the leader of the Celestials, Lluxos, and he admitted what he had done. Wutzek was filled with shame over his creations. He could sense their evil, and so could Lluxos. Lluxos knew these beings would come into existence some day, ever since The Maker made it clear that they would always have to defend the realm from such corruption. And Lluxos knew that these new beings would bring about untold war and suffering, though he never knew their birth would come so soon. Wutzek could only stare in fear and regret at the "sleeping" newborn horrors before him. Unbeknownst to Wutzek, the first child, Tilotny, was awake. Being born from Wutzek, these newborns held much of his knowledge, but not his wisdom. When Tilotny first awoke she saw the beauty in the universe, and then she sensed herself, a formless horror, a realization which filled her with shame and humiliation; a being of pure ego realizing that she is nothing made her fearful of the world she was born into, but then she sensed other souls, much like her own, her siblings. An instant kinship and link was formed between all of them as they silently became aware of themselves. Each of them reacting uniquely but in silence. It was then that they heard noises of beings speaking, grander than they, describing what they were and what they were called. They now knew their names and thus knew joy, but they then witnessed, much to their horror, a mass of light before them, a light that only held hatred and disgust towards them, this light was their creator Wutzek. They could not comprehend why that which created them wanted them destroyed. It filled them with both fear and loathing towards their creator. Why had that which created them wanted them destroyed? Were they born only to be hated? To suffer? To die? Why did it have to be so? What could these star-children do? Wutzek then declared to Lluxos his intentions to destroy his children to ensure that he could prevent disaster from befalling the universe and to keep the disasters of the past from being repeated; but before he knew it, his children were gone. He then realized that they were awake all along and would be vengeful, and would bring about untold misery. He begged Lluxos to help him find them and destroy them before it was too late. But Lluxos told him that there was nothing they could do, as the fourth of Wutzek's children spirited them all away to the halls of time, planting themselves across different points in space-time that had yet to form, ensuring that they could not be erased without causing more damage to the flow of progress. However Lluxos never intended to destroy the children and any attempt to do so would've only furthered Wutzek's own fall to the Dark Side. He assured Wutzek that while his children were born of his own Dark Side they were still living beings and thus could still feel emotions and hopefully be shown the light, and in due time he would send others to hopefully pacify them, as he could sense their souls were still innocent (perhaps... too innocent...?). |
Are you telling me we could’ve had fucking Tag and Bink in a movie and KK(K) said no? I didn’t know I could be even madder at someone’s mere existence. It definitely has more potential for defense thanks to the way the guard is angled.

Its sad to think how much better the online community is at managing SW than the exceptional individuals at Disney.

Kennedy went against all that though, and Iger wants to pin all the blame on her despite being just as much at fault for being gullible and greedy enough to listen to her. And the most idiotic thing is she tried to make a franchise for a fanbase that didn't even exist yet, hence why you don't see any OT/EU aliens and worlds in the DT unlike in the Special Editions and the PT, until Plan IX backpedals and brings back one lone and barely visible Ithorian, another barely visible Snivvian, Endor, Ewoks, some Jawas and Tatooine. They backpedal too damn late since now everyone's up and left and even their new fans have betrayed them for not honoring RJ's vision. Now you have Disney making crappy comics about a butchered 80s character set in the new continuity in a vain attempt at attracting old fans with little to no success after 5 horrible years with Aphra and nu-Luke and friends. They screwed the pooch for the last 7 years and alienated everyone away and forced them to move on to other nerd shit like Elder Scrolls and 40k. It was so fucking simple. Make a park and continue the franchise with the old guard in mind, and the old guard would naturally encourage their kids to take part in the things they enjoy and new fans would be drawn in by good word of mouth. Instead they took the safest and most predictable garbage route with TFA to appease China who had no familiarity with the SW franchise outside of niches and to also appease a non-existent woke fanbase that wouldn't even exist yet, and when it came into existence they proved more fickle and exceptional than Kennedy. Its a fucking travesty. And the saddest part is 7 years were wasted doing nothing of note, not even decent games or tie-ins, with the only game getting any praise coming in at the end of the year run and quickly being forgotten about after a few months. The whole damn community is as fractured as the franchise. So thanks for nothing Kennedy you absolute whore cunt.
Also here's a video by Midnight's Edge that perfectly puts everything into perspective and says almost exactly what I just said but with less foaming at the mouth and more info.

The Search for MoreMoneyEvil
So now we know the tale of the Celestials and the war of the stars... But still many mysteries remain, among them how the dark Old Ones returned to power, why the Celestials disappeared from this mortal plane, and most importantly the "missing links" of the galaxy, specifically where did the other major players come from...? Yes we know now of the Precursor species like the Whills (the protectors of the Force and galactic history), the Kwa (founders of theology and the Jedi), the Gree (creators of technology and science) and many others who helped to shape galactic society and its history... but what of the other races who proved to be just as important and even more prominent within the galaxy? What of the Hutts who rule almost half the known galaxy and its criminal empires? What of the Sith race and how they came to find themselves on the barren world that was once dread lord Typhojem's corpse? What of the Mandalorians whose presence is almost as prevalent as those of the Jedi and Sith? What of the cruel and fearsome Rakata who once ruled the whole galaxy and created its most horrifying weapons? And what of Humans and their subspecies who can be found all across the galaxy and who shaped galactic politics? And what of these so called Zhell mentioned so frequently in these accounts? Who are these juvenile troublemakers called the Zhell? To know the tale of these powerful and influential species and groups is to also know the tale of dark forbidden gods banished long ago at the twilight of creation and destruction...
As is known, shortly after the great conflict between the first Light and the first Shadow and their offspring, the primary realm of Erzet and its worlds were devastated. The Old Ones, spawns of the first Shadow, were banished to all-consuming Illathurion, a void where they would hopefully fade away back into the darkness from which their dark progenitor sprung them from, while the Celestials each went their separate ways and left the devastated first world seeking to expand their own wisdom, study and experiment with the cosmos and hopefully make realms of their own as their shining progenitor had before them, hoping to never again see another war between themselves and the dark ones. But much like their future worshipers, the Old Ones would continue to linger, sustained for eons by their anger and hatred, a fuel which would keep their passionate flame of vengeance alive, waiting for the day when their enemies would falter and be susceptible to destruction.
And so the story continues from where it first left off, with the small band of 7 Celestials who shaped the realm of Skyriver... Wuztek, Marutz, Xurz, Elegast, Eipha, Niphal and their leader Lluxos. As was told before, they had set the wheel of life in motion and eagerly saw their beloved experimental lifeforms flourish and develop slowly but surely. However, Wuztek was not happy. He saw when the first of their progeny entered a primitive stage of life and all many of them did was kill and war with another. Wuztek saw this as a repeat of their mistakes in the first realm, so he sought to create a whole new form of life. Perfect lifeforms that did not have the imperfections of mortals or were susceptible to the Dark Side like the Celestials, seeking to create life made that served as living incarnations of the virtues of the Four Precepts, the sacred mandate all Celestials followed.
As was told before, his arrogance proved to be his undoing, for in his blind arrogance he created four beings who would one day come to be known as "gods" by future denizens of the galaxy.

Countless thoughts rushed through their minds as they drifted through this infinite void beyond time for moments that would be beyond measure to mere mortals. Why did they exist? Did they not exist to be perfect life? Where were they going? Was their destiny not to help their father anymore? Why did their creator want to destroy them after creating them and giving them the gifts of knowledge, emotions and shape? But their confusion and fear quickly turned to hate, especially for the bitter and rattled Tilotny, whose hate was the most seething of all.
Hateful Tilotny cast aside any fears and doubts, for she knew that she was not nothing.

She was destined for greater things. She was destined to be something greater... "a goddess..." The words entered her mind, but it did not feel as if it came from her... As though they came from somewhere else, something formless pulling her along at the strings perhaps? But she paid it no mind. She believed these words had to be her own. She was created to be the perfect being, was she not? Then she was to become a perfect being above all others, one even greater than her father. She would become a "goddess". Beautiful, perfect, and most importantly beloved and feared by all, and she would take everything her father and his comrades had ever created. Her siblings however, had their own thoughts...
Horliss-Horliss...
View attachment 1270572
He was silent and seemingly uncaring, but he could do nothing else but remain silent and wonder about this thing called "life" and the meaning of this thing called consciousness. Like his siblings he too was gifted with the knowledge of his father, but unlike his siblings he did not embrace it with trust, as all of it just raised further questions. What is knowledge? What is life? What is anything? But the one thing he understood was that he and his siblings did not deserve to be destroyed so soon before they even truly understood anything. So he welcomed this escape, not because of a desire for vengeance, but because it would mean more time to contemplate and understand. But a whisper passed through his own mind as well... "you are a god who will rule all". Unlike Tilotny though, he paid the thought no mind, seeing it as foolish and pointless, for it was not the answer he sought for his existence.
Cold Danda Sine bared no hate, anger or confusion.
View attachment 1270579
The only thoughts that rushed through his mind were excitement and the prospect of opportunity. This amazing thing called "life" and all this "knowledge" was his. Infinite possibilities all for him to enjoy, but what thrilled him the most was "destruction". Yes that word uttered by his father at their birth. How it thrilled him. He now knew what it was like to exist, but to be destroyed? What a wondrous prospect. But his joy was cut short when his siblings whisked him away. Nonetheless he was thrilled at this new thing he was experiencing. Escape and defiance. Unlike Horliss-Horliss, Sine embraced everything around him. However he did not care for the memories he inherited from his father, preferring to move forward and learn on his own. So many things, so much to do. The thrill of it! To create and destroy! To fix and to break! To freeze and to burn! He wanted to do it all! Especially destruction. For it is what his creators desired, is it not? Yes. Destroy. And to create to destroy! That is the sublime artwork and purpose of life! He could not wait. He then saw his siblings and only marveled at them as well. Especially his brother Horliss-Horliss, as he could sense something astonishing about him, but what does was remained unknown to him, but when he looked at him he thought that such an amazing creature must surely be the true god of this world He then saw his astonishing and beautiful sister Tilotny and thought of all the many ways he would antagonize his stunning and increasingly prideful sister as she began to make grand boasts about her place in the universe. Oh what wonders the future will bring...
Then there was Splendid Ap...
View attachment 1270551
The catalyst for this escape. An event that would define galactic history in more ways than one... He was the last to become aware and the first thing he sensed was his sister's fear. A desire to escape from the form of their creator that stood before them with a desire for destruction. With his unique power, Ap could see in all directions, in every instance, and straight into the halls of beyond space and time where all is connected. He could see even beyond that and witness the barriers to other dimensions but even his gaze could not penetrate so far. All he knew was that he unlike his siblings could move. A strange gift, a gift perhaps even beyond his father's power? Whatever the case, his mind was still more juvenile than the others and did not fully understand the knowledge he was gifted with, but he knew about movement at least and he wanted to see what was beyond this spot. So reacting on the fearful desires of his sister, he whisked them all away beyond this spot. He stared into infinity and came to somewhat grasp the notions of space and this stranger thing called time. He saw it move forward, but he could not comprehend why it could not move backwards or why it could not materialize faster. He tried traveling through time to see if he could break this limitation, but alas, traveling back only led to a hollow non-interactive imprint of the past, and traveling forward only led to a hollow void filled with the vague shapes of things that would one day possibly exist but had no solid form or permanence yet. Realizing this limitation could not be defied, he simply drifted in the void for a bit longer until he figured out his full potential. And while his siblings contemplated an infinite number of thoughts across this timeless chasm, only one thing went through Ap's mind as he pierced on through to infinity... This one thought motivating his desire to explore the halls of infinity...
View attachment 1270511
"Haha spacey timey go woosh bbbbbbzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!"
As they drifted through the vastness of infinity and pondered existence, Tilotny "created" words. She spoke the first words among them and befitting her new ego, she spared no second in claiming to be their true creator and that it was their destiny to ascend to godhood, beyond all other beings who falsely claimed to have created them. She let her boasts grow bolder, claiming that she created not just them, but all that they saw before them. Horliss-Horliss was not convinced and grew annoyed at his sister's claims. Cold Danda Sine did not really care but was amused by his sister nonetheless, and as he promised himself, he quickly took to casually antagonizing her, countering her material concepts with his own "anti-concepts" and the joy of nothing existing, notions which left the young and ignorant Tilotny confused and hateful, but she did not let it show, wanting to carry on the image of being an omniscient goddess. Splendid Ap however seemed more inclined to believe her, at least he would have had it not been that he was still lost in his own endless ignorance and apathy. Splendid Ap could barely maintain his existence within the present as it was or even communicate in any conceivable way that didn't sound completely idiotic to his siblings. As such, Tilotny would refer to him as "Stupid Ap", the fool of the gods... Befitting for a being born from ignorance and apathy. Yet there was something strange about him, especially his abilities which were both amazing and befuddling...

Taika Waititi is apparently set to direct a new SW film for theatrical release.
get on now if you wanna watch the prequels
Star Trek Picard also did this exact same shit. The whole "armada" scene was just as bad as it was in Plan IX.I really hate how hard Disney is trying to turn Star Wars into the new MCU. Several moments in Ep. 9 were obviously supposed to be callbacks to Endgame but fell horribly flat. (The "more of us" line especially.) The MCU also has it's own issues. It is not currently as bad as Disney Wars but Phase 4 might end up being a huge shitshow.
Getting the same directors isn't going to help. The 3rd Thor movie had massive problems with tone and couldn't even go a few minutes without some sort of witty Whedon-esque one liner. Several major dramatic moments became jokes in that movie.
It does not inspire confidence...
GEE I wonder what world this is? Which leads us to one of the two final relics at Disney's Galaxy's Edge park which I mentioned before (pictured in my GE coverage alongside a "heart", but not the one from this story, although there is a poetic connection to it), the Bedlam crystal, a strange one of a kind crystalline fragment of something that resembled a body, shining as if it were silver and found long ago on the world of Bedlam, with an age that's difficult to determine... So it would seem that the Disney realm really is the broken offshoot left behind by the compassionate fool of the gods. So lo and behold, the god of the Disney realm... Poor Ap, for your heart is big but your mind was not... Do not hate him for his actions. For in the end, his was a just motive. And perhaps he may still become something far greater one day. Maybe... Now back to our story. |
