He's deluded himself into believing the majority doesn't understand what he's trying to say and thus its opinion is rooted in a falsehood as opposed to the genuine theory. Therefore, he continues to post on in an attempt to educate the majority on the contents and allow them to create informed opinions. As for his further delusion of why some others don't exist - which turns the majority into the entirety in Holden's eyes - I'm not entirely sure, but I've established two theories. One, we burnt him too severely when we mentioned having girlfriends and used the core of his own belief system to establish that spending time with them was more important than learning the details of his belief system and his mind has concocted this delusion to protect himself from the pain of our words. Or two, we countered his theories in a manner that anecdotal evidence cannot possibly refute and his mind recognizes how we risk shattering his fantasy world unless we cease to exist.

Either way, we're gone. And it's a shame too. I was hoping to drill deep into him and find out what problems he exhibited before becoming the fuckbot we all know: the scourge of sluts, ravager of rape apes, torment of truckers, miscreant of meth, and promoter of pedophilia. He had a bit on his blog about how he witnessed a really severely beaten up rape victim on a beach and he later heard she got back together with her rapist/assailant. This may or may not be the trigger but I have a feeling that it might be because the way he recounts it he clearly expects others to find it equally overwhelmingly convincing.

Having said that this event isn't really responsible for his theory - lots of other people have witnessed similar things and haven't come to the same conclusion. Holden believes this first and foremost because it's a belief that makes him feel virtuous and nobly persecuted - he deserves praise simply for not violently praising women, and he is justified in refusing to participate in society because society is so incredibly sick. So the actual event is not really explanatory in a deep sense - it may explain the imagery he keeps returning to to explain his belief, but not the belief itself or his unshakable faith in its truth.

1. If we are to naively believe that public toilets like modern Western women can be in a relationship then I haven't tried after 2013, yes.
