r/polyamory

one thing I've noticed is that there's a weird amount of poly people in the ttrpg community. is it really hard enough to get a party together that you have to fuck them all to keep them around?

I'm looking forward to the followup, where she either admits -

  • her husband is a cuck, or
  • she's a whore.

polyamory is mostly a white geek hobby
you will also find them at ren fairs, pagan events, libertarian events, craft circles in liberal cities, and so on

Came across it as a screenshot, and didn't want to be contaminated by googling for it, but here's the archive - http://archive.vn/NX3aj
I like how she published this while she's still in quarantine. That way, the tension can be ratcheted up when the people in her household read this very public article.

It’s a question and answer column. Pamela Stephenson Connolly isn’t the one who wants to fuck her BIL, it’s the anonymous asker. Of course I’m sure every guy who reads the Guardian who has moved in with his brother’s family will be wondering if it’s about him.

I should go dig up some classic Dan Savage question and answers about polyamory.

I've seen multiple fantasy authors (not currentyear, but older) push the "X job requires more than two people, so THEY ARE ALL FUCKING CAUSE BETTER BONDS OR WHATSHIT" thing as normal in whatever made-up society, so I guess it's some kind of nerd-specific idiocy.

It wasn't called "polyamory" back then, but this exact kind of thing has been big among SF/F fans, renn faire types, LARPers, and similar nerd groups since at least the '60s. And before that, the euphoric mathematician Bertrand Russell - who was very much the Richard Dawkins of his day - was an early advocate of what was euphemistically described as "free love." It's like there's this distinct segment of the population that has always been redditors.

Comparing Russell with Dawkins and redditors is extremely uncharitable towards Russell, his free love advocacy was just the logical conclusion of his utilitarian hedonistic calculus and the fact he was a womanizer, and retards started advocating it way way before the 60s, there's anarchists that advocated free love since at least the early 19th Century.
And now that you mention religion, don't you think you're free from it as a non-atheist, groups such as Early Christians and Khlysts were huge supporters of free love, which is not surprising considering its Christcucks what we're talking about here.

Why not both?

I almost positive Uganda has similar traditions, but it's a different culture and I'm not sure how they do it as I told about it years ago. Could just be polygamy, which is a bit different from polyamory.

That being said, if polyamory works for you, then great, whatever. As for fantasy/sci-fi, well, that's just it, those are fictional. I know they can be allegories, but even such people and their fans know what fantasy and reality are two different things. The polyamorous are in the minority, but like I said, I don't care about them either way.

A lot of what is in that subforum sounds like a bunch of bullshit anyway. I wouldn't spit on them, much less have sex with them. A lot of it is just an excuse for double standards/cheating/using others. Bah. But, like I said, if poly happens to work for you, then more power to you. Whatever.

It was a thing in the late 70's into the early 90's sci-fi and fantasy for some reason. There's a series called Door into Fire and the last book ends with all of the main characters getting married. 😐

> sleep around with a bunch of people
> get knocked up and don't know who the father is
> get into an argument with the man who loves you about your promiscuous ways
> can still find plebbitors to tell you that you're the victim and he is the abuser

I'm a heterosexual woman in a mono relationship, but I'm poly. When me and my boyfriend (let's call him B) started dating about 3 years ago, I told him that I was poly and that I'm not interested in having a mono relationship but that I'm willing to have an open one.
sounds like that man willingly signed up for a big dose of cuckoldry. dude deserves no sympathy whatsoever, only ridicule.

Discovering insecurities in polyamory archive
Recounting the time her partner said "black poly women with degrees are sexy" as an offhand comment and she lost her shit
Anyhoo, my partner commented on the post and said that seeing all those black women commenting their degrees was sexy to him. I read that comment and fell apart. Cried. Made a huge passive aggressive post about it. Went off on him. I LITERALLY told him “Leave me and go get you a big booty chick with a degree then!” (I also have no ass at all, something I am very insecure about). It was not pretty.
